This hotel is built on top of a steep hill, and I wasn’t aware of that. The room was clean, and the location is pretty close to the MTR. The only problem we had was that we were asked to put a 1,000 HKD cash deposit while checking-in. I’ve never heard of such a demand, because usually the hotel staff would just write down my credit card number and place charge only when a transaction was made. I told the hotel staff that I didn’t have 1,000 dollars on hand, and asked him to take my credit card instead. He told me if I were to use credit card for the deposit, he would need to charge me right away, and would refund me the deposit when checking-out. I was a bit irritated to find out about this odd policy, but didn’t want to waste time to argue with him. So I ended up giving him 500 HKD as deposit.
Other than that, I have nothing to complain about this hotel. Just hope they get rid of that strange policy of asking for cash deposit. It’s just not normal.
