Where to stay in 3e arrondissement
3e arrondissement hotels & accommodations

Since we travelled by train, we loved this hotel! The hotel is located at the back of the train station, about 5 mins walk. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He gave us the city map, he gave us recommendation where to eat and where to go, and how to get there. On our booking, we didn't ask for connecting rooms, but we asked if it was possible t...

It was great to stay in an apartment-hotel because we made use of the kitchenette to cook up some wild mushrooms bought earlier that day in Auvergne--YUM! But I can't recommend it wholeheartedly because the train tracks were right outside the window, and while the double-paned glass blocked out a lot of noise, I and my husband both woke up now and again thanks to passi...

Good location, just 2-3 min walk from the train station. There is a large shopping mall on the other side of the train station, around 10 min walk from the hotel with lots of fast food restaurants and shops. Spacious room. Good to have the toilet separated from the bathroom, esp for family travellers.

To start with the location wasn't too convenient and the staff weren't able to speak English very well so we had some trouble communicating.. You can cook here but the stove and kitchenware might not work properly... our stove didn't seem to turn off for some reason. Only stayed there for a night but I don't plan on revisiting this place. It was larger than a normal ho...

I traveled with my mom and we extended our stay in Lyon, stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. It was a bit stuffy in the room during the end of August. Our room is not air-conditioned, but it has a fan, which is not bad. It'll be perfect if the room is on a higher floor, then you can open the window with the help of the fan to cool down. Ca marche! But ours is on the 3rd...

The hotel is nicely located near to the University Lumiere Lyon 2 and other places of interest; one can reach the hole central town well by public transport which runs frequently. There are multiday tickets for the transport available. The breakfast in the hotel is very nice. The room prices are moderate. The staff is friendly and helpful. The infrastructure of the hot...

My friend and I had a lovely stay at the Mercure Lyon Grand Hotel Saxe Lafayette. We could not have asked for more. The staff (both in housekeeping and front office)were very helpful and friendly. One of the receptionists gave very good restaurant recommendations! All of which were brilliant suggestions!!!! Our room consisted of two double beds which were humongous! ...

Very near to metro lumiere and sans Souci and also to supermarkets which make it very handy to eat in. There a coffee machine available which is a big plus for us as we enjoy drinking coffee coffee and we could just buy ground coffee and brew them in our room. Kitchen is small but has pots and pans and a microwave. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel and were impressed by our spacious room, its nice and comfortable interior with modern furniture, and the helpful English speaking staff. Apart from its good location to the metro and main train station, we have found a Carrefour supermarket nearby the hotel.

My husband and I traveled with his brother around France. The hotel is a five or ten minute walk from Gare de Lyon Part Dieu, which is a major train station with an express train to the airport and to many international destinations. There are also many city buses outside the station. Perfect for a night or two to rest before heading to your next destination. There wer...

The reception staff at this hotel were really lovely - friendly, helpful and provide great tips on what to see in the city. The lady with the long, dark hair and glasses was especially good. The rooms were fine but it's difficult to stay here if travelling alone as there is no "Do not disturb" sign for the door (however after a "getting out of the shower" near miss wit...
