Perfect for this Mom and 7 yr old son!!”
I stayed at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Toyocho with my 7 year old son from March 25-29, 2017. As a woman traveling without my husband, I wanted a hotel where I felt safe and comfortable, and without costing a fortune. This hotel was all that, and more!!! We arrived about 6 hours before check in. Not a problem for the front desk, they held our suitcases and gave us subway directions for our first day of sightseeing. We returned about 7 hours later to discover our bags were already waiting for us in our room!! Along with new slippers and soft pajamas every day. My son and I would start our day by asking directions to anywhere we wanted to go. Be it the Godzilla Hotel, or Waving Cat Shrine or the best place for local sushi. Without fail, the front desk would give us the easiest to follow directions, including how long it would take to get to our destination. They always had English subway maps or would print out the directions for us. Furthermore, they always had a huge smile on their faces when we would return home from our adventures. Someone would always ask my son how the day went and as a mom, I really appreciated that little comforting touch. There are three entrances to the subway within a minute walk from the hotel. I think 1 1/2 hours was the longest it took to get anywhere. And that was for our return trip to the Narita Airport. Other then that, it took less then one hour to travel by subway to the locations we wanted to visit. Places like Tokyo Skytree Tower, Hotel Gracery (aka Godzilla Hotel), Ueno Park or the Waving Cat Shrine near Yoyogi Park. I want to stress one aspect of subway travel - we called it Train Sardines! Literally, the Toyocho station cars were PACKED during morning rush hour!! We experienced it a little bit one morning, but after waiting until 8:40 or so the cars were crowded, but not like sardines. :) All in all, we LOVED this hotel!! I would highly recommend it. If you are looking for comfort, quiet, extremely clean and

Very clean & comfy room, right next to subway, lots of food nearby”
We used to stay in another Fresa Inn (Nihombashi) 2 years ago. That was the main reason we chose Fresa Inn again in our 2nd trip to Japan. I had to say we had a VERY WONDERFUL stay in Fresa Inn Toyocho! It's even way better than the one in Nihombashi. A big Thumb Up! to the housekeepers, they are very thoughtful when cleaning our room. Since we do not have the habit of wearing pyjamas to sleep, we just put away the pyjamas provided by hotel on the chair instead. The next day, they still replace a whole new set of pyjamas and put them on the same chair instead of bed. I can feel the housekeepers really put a lot of efforts and thoughts into making the customers feel comfortable & happy. Thank you housekeepers! The hotel is located just next to the private subway. It's very easy to go anywhere although it usually involves changing to different subway lines to get to your destinations but still, you'd be very grateful that you don't need to walk a long long way back to the hotel after a whole day out (we had this bad experience of walking far to the hotel in Nihombashi). My advice is, grab a Pasmo card (costs 3,000 yen with 2,500 yen balance inside) so you can just tap the card instead of keep buying tickets (FYI the card is very pretty! *_*), OR, buy the Day Pass at the airport (comes in 1Day to 3Day Pass) if you plan to use private lines often. I like the fact that the hotel is not located in busy district & you can find plenty of food around, I'd recommend to try out some deliciously beautiful cakes at "Cozy Corner", the cakes look very yummy and too cute to eat & trust me, the taste is just superb! Had to try their cakes for 5-6 rounds before we left to Osaka. It is just right around the corner of the street after passing by McDonald's from the hotel. Thanks to Fresa Inn Toyocho, we had a really great experience this time in Tokyo! <33

Perfect hotel in Tokyo”
This is actually my second time staying at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Chain. I stayed for 7 days at this location. 2 minutes walking distance from Toyocho station. I find the location of this hotel very convenient, just a few stops from Otemachi station which is within walking distance to Tokyo station, shopping malls and restaurants. The room I stayed is totally worth it.

Budget Hotel Accessible by Metro Train Pass”
I like my stay in Sotetsu Fresa Inn. They gave me freebies as soon as I arrived. It's very near the train station. You can get an unlimited metro day pass and it will be accessible to you (which I recommend for you to purchase if you are going around Tokyo City Centre) a lot. The hotel is very clean but the actual room is very small but I think small rooms' the standard in Japan. It has McDonald's and Yoshinoya near the train station. It also has convenience stores like Family Mart nearby where you can purchase bus tickets to Mt. Fuji. The area is quiet. Not a lot of things to do. But the accessibility to the metro station is the major plus why we chose this hotel.

A little jewel in Tokyo ”
This is my 2nd time staying at Sotetsu Fresa Tokyo Toyocho. I love how the location is located within 1 minute walking distance from exit 5 Toyocho Station Tozai line. The hotel also has coin laundry and guest who stays at the hotel get 10% discount for dining at Pronto which is located in the hotel. For a traveler of 2 or more people, I would definitely recommend the standard room which comes with two beds and a sofa . It is really spacious and can fit up to 4 people (not as expensive as other Japanese chain hotels such as APA or Monterey). I would definitely be back here again during my stay in Tokyo next time.

Small but very conveniënt and comfortabele ”
Perfect stay, subway Toyocho is very close 1 minute walk away. Stayed in other Sotetsu Fresa Inn in Tokio and both hotels were very clean and had very friendly staff. Wouldn't doubt to stay again in this hotel when we come to Tokio again. Trip to/from Haneda airport takes at least 1 hour by subway

Clean Convenient And Cramped”
Our stay at the Fresa Inn in Toyocho was good. The room was small and the bed even smaller, but that's to be expected to Tokyo. It had a great decent-sized bathroom though, and was extremely clean. It was good for a quick overnight, especially on a last-minute busy weekend booking. I would stay there again, given similar circumstances. Otherwise, perhaps something more central and bigger.

we love sotetsu fresa”
no kidding,we lost our bag one day with our passports inside, when we were still pulling our hairs out of our head, the next day,the hotel helped us call bus station company and train company to ask about our bag,and what do u know,it was in the lost and found of the bus station I can only say I'm super grateful for the nice staff who helped us call and tell us how to go pick up our bag ,otherwise this trip would have had a down turn the cleaning lady is very thoughtful, always trying to arrange my bottles nicely ,and I have a lot or crap so u can see how patient she is,hats off to her everything is great! the hotel gives a small lady pack for each night, and contains oil cleanser, face washer,a hair band, nice brush, qtips has heater which saved us for the winter room is small but acceptable TV is big ,and u can pay 1000yen to watch movies (adult movie included lol)there's also normal channels for frre of course downstairs there is two restaurants connected, rreally awesome that the restaurant saizeria closes at 2:00 am ,so if u arrive late u can eat there ,very yum haha there's a coco curry near exit one of the metro, which is also good a bookstore infront and a family close by sotetsu fresa might not have the best location ,because goin to shinjuku and Disney and akihabara those places might take at least twenty to thirty mine but I highly recommend this hotel, the staff have excellent English (only one woman had trouble understanding) and are always very helpful if u want to ask for a weigh ,u can ask the staff, they provide one at the counter onc again, can't believe our bag could be found and the money and passport inside are untouched, very impressed with japan haha

Convenient, Clean and helpful staff”
I have booked my partner and myself for a week at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Toyocho. Throughout our stay this time around, We spent a lot of our time shopping and eating at Ginza, Otemachi and Tokyo Station which are all easily accessible from this hotel. This hotel also give out free overnight set to ladies and there is a coin laundry in the hotel which is a necessity for a traveler who brought only an adequate amount of clothing such as myself. This is my second time staying at this hotel. I will definitely be back here again during my stay in Tokyo next year.

Clean and close to subway. Would stay again”
Booked this hotel for its location (right next to Toyocho station) and price (cheaper than other business hotels i looked at around Tokyo area). Pros: clean, close to subway and multiple convenience stores, quiet neighborhood, more affordable than comparable hotel chains, adequate heating, fast check-in and check-out Cons: room is small - no space to lay out suitcases, no closet, no free bottled water Toyocho is about 30 mins to the city center - quite a distance but we didn't mind, we quite liked that the area was quiet and not full of people

Hotel conveniently located; staffs very nice and helpful.”
This hotel is located just besides Toyocho metro station (Tozai line) which takes you virtually anywhere with one or two transfers. (e.g. 15 minutes to Ginza and downtown Tokyo, 22 minutes to Asakusa, 30 minutes to Shibuya and Shinjuku). There is a McDonalds just next door and a number of restaurants and soba (noodle) places to choose from around the corner. Staffs are super friendly. They greet everyone with a friendly bow and big smile. Although they in general speak minimal English they always try their best to help. We never had any problem communicating with them, and always got the answers we asked for. We are a family of 4 and our two rooms were arranged to be adjacent to each other. Hotel room is small but comfy and good enough for rest and shower; clean and tidy room with daily fresh supply of pajamas and slippers. Ladies who clean our rooms are also friendly and polite; laundry room at 2nd floor and microwave and vending machine at 4th floor. Check in and check out – very convenient and efficient. We were allowed to leave our luggage behind after check out, so we could grab something to eat before continuing our journey. We all enjoyed staying at this hotel and would definitely recommend this to our friends and relatives. Helpful hint: Exit 5 is closer to the hotel, and exit 1 with elevator is more convenient if you have heavy luggage.

15-19SEP”
Value: 3.5 stars Location: 3.5 stars Cleanliness: 4 stars Staff: 4 stars Facilities: 4 stars. Embarrassing to say, I missed my last Shinkansen departing from Osaka on my first day in Japan and forfeited my first night of stay at Fresa Inn Toyocho. When I returned the next day to the front desk reception, I was delighted to know that my luggage which was deposited on my first morning in Tokyo has been carried up into my room. Wow that's good service! The room I stayed in was a Single Double Room (non-smoking). As compared to most accommodations in Japan, the space is considered small. The bed size is satisfactory however it's position almost as if it's stuck to the window at the side, as you can only get on and off the bed on the same side. Needless to say, the space is not wide enough to accommodate the unpacking of more than 1 piece of luggage. There are 2 restaurants situated right below the Inn, Pronto and Saizeriya, which I didn't have the chance to try from either. There are 2 coin-operated vending machines on the 4th floor, 1 for hot/cold drinks, the other for beers. Placed next to the 2 vending machines is the ticketing machine whereby you pay 1000JPY for a code that you may then input into the hotel's pay per view (PPV) service, but uncertain if it's 1000JPY for unlimited access or per view/show. The hotel is located away from the bustling Tokyo Central. The neighbourhood is lined with traditional Japanese architecture and buildings. If you are not into shopping in central Tokyo, the neighbourhood's a good place to explore. There are several food choices within a 1-2km radius from the hotel. For the anime/manga fanatics, Akihabara is accessible via the Hibiya line (subway) with a mere 15-20 minutes ride, including transfer(s). As commented by previous reviewers, there is a patisserie nearby that sells cakes and pastries, which looks really tantalizing and appealing, but I didn't have the chanc to try it even as takeways since most shops have already

FANTASTIC”
I really enjoyed the stay. Advise: From Toyocho station, use exit 1 to reach the hotel. Walk left, its on the same block. The building is labeled Fresa. Adjacent to the Post office, across from the book/video store. If you go to Yamaguchi street in the direction of train exit 2 (Family Mart)towards train station 1, you will find a wide variety(food/price) of resturants. Life supermarket is after the ward's offices.

Clean, considerate, but can be more convenient”
I booked a room with double bed. I think the room number is 502. It's a room facing a parking lot. There were no opposite high rise building from my window. And there was sun light coming through the window. It is located right above Toyocho station on Tozai Line. But I feel Toyocho isn't a very good station for travellers. Sometimes the Rapid Trains stop at Toyocho but sometimes they don't. I find it confusing for first time travellers. Also it is a little bit far from all the popular stations such as Shinjuku, Shibuya and Asakusa. Comparably I think the Sotetsu at Nihombashi is more convenient and value worth. The room has everything, a fridge, hair dryer, water boiler, TV, luggage rack... However like all hotels in Tokyo, it is super small. You can only walk in the room, not sit.. And it will be hard to fit in 2 open suitcases. The space doesn't affect me much because I was travelling alone. But I don't recommend it to duo travellers not even to say families.

Nice Staff and very close to Toyocho Station”
Nice Staff and next to Toyocho Station just 1 min walk (Exit 1) There also have 7-11, Family Mart, Mcdonald and Seiyu Department store around the hotel. The hotel was so clean and give us Champoo, body wash, Tea Bag and ice (4th Floor)for free. Free Wifi are added in your room. Next time i surely choose one of Fresa Hotel to stay in Japan Thanks you so much :)

Compact but great hotel near train station in a friendly although not super interesting area”
Excellent clean rooms with all the functionality you'd want, although small as you would expect in Tokyo. Staff was great, too. Hotel is inly steps from the train Toyocho station, which is great to get around. The neighbourhood itself is alright, safe to walk around in night as you would expect in Tokyo and not too busy in daytime. There are several bars and restaurants in the range of a few blocks, although there are certainly more interesting neighbourhoods for eating out and socializing.

Awesome for all 10/10 ! ”
This place was amazing. The price was excellent. It was right next to a station Toyocho Metro (now granted it was on only one line, but it wasn't an issue). The staff was super professional and nice. The best part about the room was how clean it was. They also gave fresh robes every day which were super comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Tokyo. 10/10
