Great hotel with great rooms”

When I arrived from airport to the bus stop nearest to the hotel, I couldn't figure out how to arrive the hotel. I entered a restaurant and asked the owner to give me the directions. I had my Agoda Hotel Voucher with me so the owner read the address in seconds but couldn't figure out the location. He typed in the name of the hotel on his computer and got their number. Then he called this number and reached the hotel. After a small talk, owner told me to wait a couple of minutes. After 6-7 mins. a man arrived at the restaurant, picked me and showed me to the hotel! I couldn't believe what has happened because in my country, you can't get such kindness... And when I arrived at my room (Which was a Suite Twin because no other rooms were available) I was shocked because it was very large, had a nice decoration, there was a desktop computer permanently connected to Internet and there was this huge, 52" HD TV. The TV channeles also had some English Movie channeles. With a single remote you could adjust the heat, control the TV and the lights. And the bathroom was plain awesome with a jaccuzi in it. After this hotel, I've stayed in a very famous 5 star hotel in Busan and it was no Amourex Hotel. The location of the hotel is also quite nice with a subway station 10 mins. walk distance. (Sangwangsimni station.)

Pleasantly Surprised”

booked the hotel because other hotels were either fully booked or beyond my budget. although the reviews said it's a love hotel, but i didn't see any negative images. besides there are so many schools nearby. the hotel is generally good. well above average. although the carpets in the reception may not be in a 8/10 state, but the price far offsets any inconvenience. the hotel is situated close to the main road, and far enough for the traffic to disturb your sleep. shopping malls are within 10mins walking distance. subway train is close, conveniently located between the 2 stations of namdaemung and dongdaemun in the circle line. although i have been to seoul several times, it was with the encouragement of the receptionist that prompted me to take the trains. it's was relatively easy to navigate. i was also surprised by the big flat-screen tv. i would say 48"! the biggest tv i have seen in my many years of travel, with surround sound. the internet was easy to access and best of all it's free!. water was also complimentary. the room's decor is great with nice lighting. would go back again and definitely recommend singles or couples. great value.

Good location, spacious rooms”

we stayed in amourex hotel on 29.07.2012. very good location (150 m from bus station and maybe 400 m from wangsimni subway station). many food shops and restaurants around, large supermarket near the subway station. they also have japanese restaurant in the hotel, but we did not eat there. we had a very spacious double suite room at the 8-th floor (120 usd). the interior includes some nice decoration and various lights that can be controlled separately. the large tv in front of the bed, computer with internet. it was fine, but at the same time seemed to be rather empty. photos on site reflects the room interior pretty well. the only disadvantage is that air conditioner is right over the bed, that is, however, usual for korean hotels/motels. very spacious bathroom with jacuzzi, another one shower and warm automatic toilet. for the price they also could have bathrobes as default. there is a nice garden with benches on the roof with a city view in two directions, good for relaxing before bedtime.

Delightful staff, huge room”

The Amourex is my kind of hotel. A great bargain with huge room, modern bathroom (with Jacuzzi. And the staff were professional and warmly friendly. The location might not suit everybody, tucked away on a quiet street one block from the main thoroughfare. But I liked it because the area around it was quiet and relaxed. Plenty of restaurants in the area, and a large shopping mall. The public bus to the airport was a ten minute walk and very convenient. I believe they also have limo service. Taxis are easy to find. A great place. NB: one reviewer complained that his room had not been cleaned. On one occasion my room had been straightened by new towels and complimentary drinks had not been replaced (likely because I was in the room when they came back and they prefer to wait until it is empty). But rather than whine about it, a simple call to the desk resolved the issue immediately.

fast checked-in upon arrival without any hassle. location of this hotel is only 5-7 mins walk to wangsimi metro. . there are two convenient stores located very close to this hotel as well. hotel staff speaks basic english but polite. i had a family room allocated for my stay with comfortable bed. the housekeeping cleans the room daily. if i were to return to seoul, i would book this amourex hotel again.

excellent services and location”

It was a great experience staying in Amourex hotel with the friendly and good service to assist us on our load when taking the as they write in korea for us to show it to the taxis driver. Not only that the room are decorated differently in each room with big bed and huge room which come with jacuzzi for the rooms we stayed in . Will definitely go back to the same hotel if going to Korea again

great location and nice room”

Amourex Hotel locates in the central areas, only 100m to airport shuttle bus and 200m to subway station. the room is big enough with different decoration styles. the bath room is very clean. many restaurants and convenience shops are around. have met one receptionist, who is an excellent English speaker.

this ones easy ... perfect”

so, ill review this one even before i finish staying. first off let me say i cant figure out how this only has a 7.0 rating. that is insane. It has literally everything you would want. fast check in.. they dont hit you up for a deposit last minute..its super clean , daily cleaning, a jacuzzi tub, heated freaking toilet seat (and a bunch of other buttons im afraid to try), extremely comfortable comforter.. like 500 channels on the tv, a computer, a giant tv, a fridge, bathrobes, an ac thats run from the tv remote, a doorbell to your room, a seperated area with a table and chairs... even a hair brush..and thats just the standard room. im not sure what else people are lookin for. I would say this is at least a 4 star property. i could live here... seems like they thought of everything. well almost everything im deducting a bit because the listing says they have laundry and turns out they don’t and i decided to wait on doing laundry because it said they did now i gotta figure that mess out or walk around in dirty clothes... other then that.. i literally cannot think of anything else they missed. crazy ratings on this one. oh, directions. at the train station use exit 2... walk straight like two big blocks (not alleys) and make a left. its at top of hill mini marts on your right. gps will have you running loops looking for this place... i think it told me it was like 3km away.. its not. btw.. i am a very critical reviewer by nature. and this will be my goto place in seoul. reasonable price .. top quality room. staying a week this time.

Location and great hotel service”

the amourex hotel is conveniently located next to the subway station, although exiting the subway, you will experiencing plenty of steps so be sure not to carry a huge wheel operated luggage otherwise it will be a nightmare for the guys. the hotel has a airport bus shuttle service that takes only 40 minutes to incheon airport. the shuttle service is not on schedule, mine came 20 minutes late and i waited in -10 degrees celcius environment for the bus, so you must be patient and just wait for the bus.

It was so nice staying at amourex hotel, the wangsimni station is just a minute walk access to all shopping places in the entire city of seoul like namdaemun & dongdaemun market...next time we have plan to visit korea with my friends & stay again in this hotel...also near to e mart shopping center. All in all we had a good time staying in this hotel!

Nice hotel...nice staff”

Overall, Amourex Hotel is a convenient and nice hotel. Its location is quite good. It is of a ~5mins distance to train station. There are quite a lot restaurants just opposite or next to the hotel which close quite late. Staff are helpful and nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable basically. I would recommand this hotel to the travellers to Seoul!

overall good value”

we( couple from swiss ) booked the suite room on the 9th floor. we really liked our stay in Amourex. kind receptionist, specially the seniour one was really helpfull. the room was huge and felt very comfortable. I will recommend this hotel and my future visit in seoul will be this hotel.

GREAT FOR FAMILIES”

We very much enjoyed our time at the Amourex. Very clean, great bathroom (spa pool)in the suite. Staff were very helpful. The room service was great. The room was cleaned each day and fresh towels laid out. Great location - we used the directions from one of the reviews and found it no problems at all. 2min from wangsimni station. Family room has a massive bed we have 4 kids and they all could sleep on the one bed.great size t.v's. very spacious rooms. free internet very good. Unfortunately there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. A little expensive for what you get but at least it could accommodate a family of 6 comfortably for 4 nights. Anything cheaper just doesn't come close in terms of size and quality. I am very happy to promote this hotel to anyone who is keen to enjoy all the sites of Seoul.

Huge room and nice location”

this is my second time to stay at amourex hotel already. we stayed at the suite this time. it was really huge, with a massage bathtub in the bathroom. staff are nice and helpful.

while everything seems great and nice, the only thing that would make anyone disappointed are the attitude of the receptionists... they are not so accommodating if you ask for directions on how to go to other places. they don't even have a smile on their faces. and the way they answer is not very polite. our first hotel helped us by calling amourex hotel to help us know how to get there, and they told them, 'our guests should find out by themselves how to get here...' i think that's being rude...

Convenient location”

location is convenient if you are taking the airport limo bus from incheon or gimpo airport. the hotel signage is visible along the road so you know where to alight. for subway, you might have to figure out the direction of wangsimni subway station which is about 10 mins walk away and not visible from the main road (hotel). but it is easy once you know the direction and it is located in a big shopping mall. travel to dongdaemun, myeongdong etc is easy. eateries are plenty around the hotel. there is a coffee cafe just near door which open till midnight, and two korean restaurants opposite the hotels. if you walk the lanes, there are more korean restaurants for your pick. recommend upgrading the room to luxury room type or above for comfort and space. i had taken the luxury twin and the room came with large lcd screen, jacuzzi and pc for surfing internet. there were refills of bottled mineral water everyday which was a big convenience. however, you might need to request for more towels....service was not that consistent.

Big rooms with great facilities ”

The room has all the sufficient facilities that we need, in additional to that there is a big bathtub with jacuzzi. There are many restaurants that open until late hours nearby, as well as 24 hours convenient stores. Wangsimni subway station is a 5min walk from the hotel. However, if u intend to shop a lot, taking the subway to myeongdong and dongdaemun can be a bit troublesome. I suggest taking a cab instead as it is quite affordable, about 5000-8000 won. Wangsimni shopping mall is also nearby.

value for money hotel”

amourex hotel is a very good value hotel. the rooms are big and there is a jacuzzi in out bathroom! rooms are cleaned everyday and there is wifi in the room, a huge lcd tv and a computer! its a 10 minute walk to wangsimni, the nearest subway station. from there you can go anywhere in and around seoul. there is a big mall as well for shopping and eating nearby, the hotel staff are not that friendly though. maybe they avoid talking to us as they are not very comfortable in english. otherwise our stay at amourex hotel was very good indeed. i surely will recommend it to my frienda and relatives.

Nice Hotel ”

My stay at Amourex hotel was nice. Nonetheless the bedroom as well as the bathroom were of considerable size. The free internet and computer in room was also very convenient. I also did not experienced any noise; it was very quiet. In addition, the personnel can speak English. Moreover, the location of the Hotel is very convenient as it is located near the Metro Loop line and a bus stop. However, the street in which the Hotel is located is not that beautiful, but there are many places in the area where you can have breakfast and good coffee. So overall I had a good experience at Hotel Amourex and if you are looking for a convenient location to see Seoul, I will recommend this hotel.

i always stay in this hotel and i'll be back .great location, easy access to train station, shopping center and with lots of food around hotel. theres a few 24 hrs mart around hotel too... very near to mydeong shopping area where you can find food and shopping... its even nearer to dongdaemun where u can shop till you drop dead and also shop till 6am.
