Just like home”

We stayed 3 nights. This is a guesthouse, hence should not have any great expectations. You'll get a small clean room with a 40" LCD TV and hair dryer. There is no place to store your bags/luggages/clothes. Bathroom - there is a shower between the wash basin and WC and both will get wet when you take a shower. They only provide small hand towels, this means you will have to bring your own soap, sampoo and towel. Kitchen - there is a toaster/water cooler and they provide bread and jam for breakfast. Direction from Seoul station - you will have to change lines to get to Ewha Womens Uni (cost 1,000 Won for the trip and 500 Won for the Metro card deposit). Upon arriving at Ewha Womens Uni, leave via Exit 3. When you have exited, you will see a shop, Willy's, selling Apple computer. Cross the steet and then walk toward your right. At the 1st turn on your left you will see a large shopping complex, Yes! a PM (name of the building and Sinchon Guesthouse is directly behind this bulding). Turn left and keep walking for around 1 or so minutes you will come across a 't' junction, turn right and walk toward the large shopping complex. In less than 1 or so minute you will arrive at the 1st left turn street which is directly behind the large shopping complex. Walk down the road (a slope) for around 1 or so minute you will see Shinchon Guesthouse on your right. The door is locked and you will have to ring the bell for someone to come down to open the door for you. Enjoy your stay at this clean and value for money guesthouse.

Perfect location and very friendly staff!”

The place is very comfortable, especially during winter. During our 5 day stay in Seoul, we looked forward to going home to this guesthouse knowing that a warm and cozy room awaits us. The floor of the room is very warm, i guess that's the ondol type. The staff speak good english and are very friendly. The location is perfect, very near the subway and to almost everything! If we have the chance to go back to Seoul, we'll definitely stay in this place again! Thanks Shinchon Guesthouse!

Wonderful place to stay all around”

Of all the guesthouses I've stayed at in Seoul, this one was by far the best. The location is great (only about 5 minute walk from the Ewha Women's University subway station and easy to find), especially if you like night life and shopping (also really close to Hongdae and Sinchon). The room was a nice size and everything was neat, tidy, and super clean. Whenever I had questions about getting a cab or where to eat nearby, the staff had answers for me. Also, it was very quiet in the guesthouse and I didn't hear street noise, so I was able to sleep very well. If you are interested in staying near the downtown are of Seoul, I highly recommend this guesthouse.

Very convenient location and friendly service”

staying at the shinchon guesthouse for a week, very good service there. the room is bigger than expected and a very large lcd tv with many channels to choose. bed sheet, towel are clean. bring your own toothpaste, tooth brushes, shower gel and shampoo. the location is very good, close to ewha subway station exit 1, just 5 minute walk to ewha university and the guesthouse is surrounded by shops selling clothes, food, and shoes and accessories. it's a nice neighborhood and me and my mom don't have problem walking back home late at night.

Suitable choice for buget traveller”

I am pretty satisfied with my stay in Shinchon guesthouse. The location is easy to find and is very near to subway station (Ehwa Univeristy station exit 1/2). There are several convenience stores nearby, and also restaurants and shops selling clothes, shoes etc. Breakfast provided is solely white bread with peanut or jam. If you don't like it you can choose to have your own breakfast outside. No elevator in the hostel but luckily I am staying at the 2nd floor so it's still okay for me to carry my luggages. You can request for lower floors room during your booking. No toiletries except toilet papers and towel are provided, do remember to bring your own toiletries. Towels provided are very small, just like a face towel, bring a towel for yourself if convenient. Washing machine is allowed to use during certain days at certain time, do check with the admin. Heating in room is good despite the cold weather when I visited Seoul. Overall it's a good experience staying in Shinchon Guesthouse.

Great Location with Great Pirvate Bathroom.”

the owner of shinchon (danny) was great in show us the way and the pro of staying his place. save a lot of time to find the place with his advice. the staff also give us a lot of infomation for the place we wanted to go or things we want to do. i was there with my mom and sister. we feel so happy and great staying in shinchon. the most imporatant is the guesthouse was so close with the subway which less than 5 minutes walking distance to ewha uni. station. flea market, restaurant, coffee street was just door step away. easy access to shinchon, myeong dong, dongdaemon, namdaemon, city hall through subway (line 2, green).

Good guesthouse! Location n price thumb up!”

the guesthouse is considered very good with the price n its location. the staff all know how to speak english (which is a very important since most koreans do not speak english) airport limosine bus 6002 will be able to get to the guesthouse. kindly alight at ehwa woman university about an 45mins ride later! from the bus stop itself u can see yes a pm buidling. pls walk toward the building and the guest house is ard there. if u take subway, alight at ehwa woman university and exit by exit 2. walk toward watson and u will see a small alley to turn in. look for yes a pm the guest house is ard it. i will definitely come back again to this guesthouse the nxt time i come to seoul. the location is good. travelling to myeongdong, hongdae is very near and convienent. the room i live in is room102 at second floor. i stayed thr from may10 to may17. the room hv a small fridge. bathroom is clean n not small. the only bad thing abt this guest house will only be there is no lift. so u hv to carry ur heavy luggage up n down the stairs. but no worry, the staff are helpful to help u carry them. actually this guesthouse is located right nxt to sinchon hostel. owned by the same owner danny.

good place to stay”

Shinchon Guesthouse very accessible nearby the subway and also there's a lot of store's nearby. What I like in this guesthouse the staff are very accommodating and friendly. We really enjoy our stay here. Next we come back in Seoul we will choose this place again.

Superb location for shopping and transportation”

Danny and his colleagues are very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse doesn't have a lift, so they helped us carry our luggage to our room. Location is great, just walk for around 100m (from the Ewha subway exit) will reach the guesthouse. Although the guesthouse is dealing with sewage smell problem, both rooms i stayed reeked with sewage smell, which can be lessen by closing the bathroom door, to prevent the smell from getting to the bedroom. The heating system was not in good condition, i was freezing on my last night stay. Throughout my 2 weeks in Korea, I choose to move back to this guesthouse the second time as other hotels or guesthouses isn't as convenient as this. The airport limousine (10,000 won) is just around 300m away from the guesthouse! I will definitely go back to this guesthouse when i go back to Korea again.

owner is super duper friendly and helpful! he picked us up from the subway stn when we got lost. gave us lotsa of tips on seoul and how to get around, etc. other staff at guesthouse were also very friendly and nice. rooms are ok! spacious enough for me and my friends! and also, locate in sinchon! it's best area with all the shops and eateries around! will definitely be back

Cosy hotel with awesome staff!”

Danny and Miriam were great help! Very friendly and approachable! Danny was kind enough to draw out a map and instructions on a piece of paper for the taxi driver to take me to my destination. They speak very good English, so no problems with communicaion. The room was great and I would definitely visit Shinchon Guesthouse again when I return.

awesome hotel”

i chose shnichon guesthouse is because of the ideal location of the hotel. it was only less than 15 minutes driving distance from the train station. i saved a lot from the cad fees. i am so glad and happy when the staff there speaks very fluent english to me and make me felt welcomed. basically, the room was big, clean and i loved the white color theme of the room. there was no worries to find foods as there is a small but complete kitchen at the ground floor. it is convenient to get groceries from the shops nearby. definitely i would like to pay a visit to shinchon guestroom for my next trip to seoul!

Great Location, Good Service - Your Home in Korea”

Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights as part of a 10-day vacation in Seoul. The guesthouse was very clean (which I really liked) and offered free towels for guests to use, so no need to pack those bulky things in your suitcases. The room also came with a dryer which helps during the cold seasons when you don't want to go out with wet hair. The room also has a big TV and air-conditioning unit. The ground floor has a weighing scale for luggages which I found very useful since I didn't want to pay for overweight fees so it definitely gave me that piece of mind. Location-wise, the guesthouse is a 3-min walk to an airport bus stop where you can take bus#6002 to get to Incheon. Subway station is also very near which makes getting around a breeze. The staff - Miriam, Young Lin and Danny are very friendly and they ensure that guests' needs are met. They also give tips for travelers so if you're unsure of anything, don't hesitate to ask! Also, at night be sure to check out the food stalls near the subway station! Good food for a little over 1000won!

Great location Lovely hotel and service with a smi”

The Shinchon, is a really nice small hotel which i would happily recommend to any international travellers to seoul. close to public transport including subways and the airport line. If you are there for shopping, there is many small fashion shops all round the hotel with a great cross section of restaurants and coffee shops for the budget traveller!

Great location with a friendly, helpful staff”

i enjoyed my stay at the guesthouse very much. the friendly staff and cheap daily rates made my stay here very pleasant. the guesthouse is located near a subway station, and is walking distance to shinchon (university district), a great place to grab lunch/dinner, coffee, and drinks.

The room and bathroom are super clean but it would be good if a soap and a shampoo is provided. Also the blanket for double bed is not big enough for two person. Overall it was a good experience staying in Sinchon guesthouse. I would recommend this place to other friends and will definitely stay here again.

I had a good stay in Shinchon Guesthouse. A private toilet is very important to me while most of the other budget guesthouse could only provide a share toilet and bathroom. Shinchon Guesthouse is having a rather low price quote with very good enough equipped facilities. Will probably choose it again for my next visit to Seoul.

A great guesthouse, especially for the price! wow!”

This guesthouse was more like a hotel than a guesthouse in that the rooms were new, perfectly clean and had everything you would expect in a hotel. But it had the additional advantage of wifi in our room, staff that spoke english and did their best to advise and help out in any way. If you plan to arrive late at night, make sure you contact them first as we arrived at about 1am and there was noone about to let us in. Eventually another guest gave us the contact number of the owner and we called him to get a staff member to help us into our room. Breakfast is provided and is help yourself which was great.

Simply wonderful. The staff made the stay.They were very friendly and welcoming, helped me book tours and showed me restaurants and guided me around Seoul. It is also conveniently next to the subway station, right in the middle of the Ewha shopping area, and a 3 minute walk from the bus stations (very easy to get to and from airport). I would definately come back and stay at this guesthouse if I ever visit once more!
