Extremely satisfied with our stay, great hotel.”

My friends and I were very blown away by the standards of 53 Hotel. The hotel is just a walk away from the Taichung TRA station, even taking a cab to the Taichung HSR station isn't too far off and very cheap. Just beside the hotel is a Family Mart so really good and convenient for getting late night snacks. Just opposite the hotel is the famed Miyahara (宫原眼科) for their ice cream (huge portion), so do try that out. The breakfast buffet has a nice wide spread of options, mini croissants and the scrambled eggs were divine. The coffee is great too. Breakfast menu is relatively similar each day but they do change it up a bit so kudos to that. Rooms are very clean and spacious, the only lacking thing would be the number of TV channel menu. It would be better with more English channels. But other than that, we loved this hotel and would definitely be back for future stays. Washing machines are available at B1, but purchase a pack of detergent for just NT30. Oh and just to note a special thanks to 53 Hotel, my friend had actually left behind his pair of earphones at the hotel when we took off to Taipei, the hotel had emailed me almost immediately after to notify us. We requested to have them posted to our Taipei hotel and we received them a few days after. Extremely grateful and impressed with the service staff. All in all, a definite recommendation to all for Taichung stays! :)

New hotel, good location near Taichung station”

53 Hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the Taichung Railway Station, and is directly opposite Miyahara, which serves delicious ice cream and shaved ice. The hotel is really new and well decorated. The family room I booked (for 4 pax) was spacious enough and clean, and the room looked brand new. Staff at the front desk were also very helpful with our queries -- from where to eat nearby, to how to get to certain tourist locations. When we informed the staff that a lamp in our room was broken, they had the lamp promptly fixed within half an hour. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its value for money, as well as its location near the Taichung Railway Station. Do note that Taichung Railway Station is NOT the same as Taichung HSR station. The hotel is around a 20-30 minute cab ride away from Taichung HSR station.

My home away from home”

My secretary booked me into the 53 Hotel for an overnight stay. My experiences with hotels in close proximity to train stations in Taiwan have usually been shifty, and given the price she said she booked it at, I was expecting the same. Imagine my surprise when my taxi pulled up. It was modern, clean, and Vivian at the front desk gave a very warm welcome to this weary traveler. My room was huge and had a midcentury modern feel to the decor and lighting. Water pressure and heat weren't a problem (very common in Asia) and aircon and bedding was comfortable. I didn't sample the food there (I just bought snacks at the Family Mart next door) but with such a central location there's plenty of choices. Vivian was also very helpful in telling me a shortcut to the UNIQLO store and hooking me up with some bandages after I accidentally cut my finger. Will definitely stay there next time I'm in Taichung.

53 Hotel is the best choice in Taichung”

We stayed one night at the 53 hotel and found the service and staffs were very good. We left our luggage there one day earlier when we checked in the hotel, and the staffs were very helpful and arranged for us. The location of the 53 hotel is very good and it's so close to Taichung train station. The room was clean and spacious, and everything was so comfortable. The overall decoration is very nice, the breakfast room looks pretty and the breakfast was good enough. Wifi was strong and we had complaint at all. The only drawback is that the gym room doesn't have any window and so you can have any view when doing exercises. All in all, the 53 Hotel should be the best choice when you stay in Taichung.

Refreshing and conveniently located”

My stay at 53 Hotel was pleasant. The hotel staff checked us in fast. As we were early to check in, we left our bags at the lobby while we went shopping. Upon our return the hotel staff had already brought our bags into the room. This was a kind and thoughtful gesture. The design of the room is simple and clean. There are no closets which makes the small space look larger than it is. This would be a good place to stay at for a short visit. The location of this hotel is just a 2min walk from the train station. Opposite the hotel is a beautiful store called Dawn Cakes, featuring traditional and fusion treats and snacks. They even provide postal services for your buys if you require. Overall I had a great stay at 53 Hotel and will definitely stay at this hotel again if i ever return to Taichung.

Clean Convenient Hotel”

53 Hotel is located very conveniently, about 5mins walk from Taichung Train Station. This accessibility is enhanced by the fact that there is a free transport (BRT) within Taichung city if you have the Easycard. You can go anywhere from Taichung station and explore the outskirts of the city just by taking the BRT. Places like the Museum of Natural Science, Night Markets etc were well within bus-ing distance. We did not have breakfast included, however there is a local delights store just next to the hotel selling sandwiches and soybean milk for cheap. If that's not sufficient, there are minimarts (Family Mart) just near the hotel where you can get snacks, drinks and even microwavable meals. The staff in the hotel are really really friendly and were more than happy to help direct you to bus stops and/or walking directions to your areas of interest. During rainy days, the staff would even offer to loan complimentary umbrellas to you. So all in all, it was a very clean and comfortable stay for my wife and I. Enjoyed the experience very much since it was the first time in Taichung for us.

53 Hotel is only 5-10 minutes walk away from the train station, which saves travelers time to getting to the hotel. The room is spacious, clean and the facilities are great. The simple yet modern design is suitable for everyone. The breakfast provided is above average compared to the other hotels I've stayed in taiwan, so I'm not complaining. If you know you way, you can get the wet market for breakfast or Yi Zhong night market for shopping on foot too. I'll be likely to stay in 53 Hotel again on my trip to Taichung. Keep it up 53 Hotel!

Clean, new & comfortable hotel! Value for money!”

Had a really pleasant stay though we only stayed for a night! Only 20min taxi ride away from the crowded & bustling Fengjia Night Market. Most people would prefer to stay at Fengjia but I definitely prefer to stay at 53 Hotel as its quiet and peaceful, and not smoky and noisy like the Fengjia area! Location wise it is good and convenient to get around as taxis are easily accessible and its near the Taichung train station. Rooms were spacious and comfy and the hotel was new, clean and had great amenities like a meditation room and fitness room. Staff were also very pleasant and polite. Check-in and check-out was fast! A colleague left a box of cigarettes in the hotel and straightaway after we checked out, we got an email from the staff informing us that we had left the pack of cigarettes in the room and the staff asked if they needed to keep it for us.

The best hotel for my trip in Taiwan”

OMG ! I love this hotel very much, it nears Taichung Railway Main Station, just a walk by around 300m and it’s so easy to be found, just across Miyahara Ice Cream. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the room itself is so clean, neat and tidy, I wish all the hotel that I stay in Taiwan would be as good as 53 Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for those who will have a trip to Taichung, you won’t get disappointed. Thank you 53 Hotel for the great service and experience.

Very trendy hotel opposite Miyahara”

It is always with great anticipation whenever I stand in front of the door to my hotel room for the first time with key in hand… what sort of room lies behind? This time, we were very pleasantly surprised when we stepped in and found a very big and spacious room of 3 beds, with wooden flooring and simple warm-toned décor and furnishing. Our family of 4 had been upgraded to a room to fit 5! Hotel 53 has been very tastefully designed… from the red-bricked façade of the hotel building to the contemporary designed lobby with its shiny polished black and white marble flooring. Head down to the basement to find a nice cozy area with a gym, a reading room and a laundry room. So nice it was, that I was more than happy to do my laundry, free of charge (except for the detergent powder, which you can purchase from the hotel reception). Another added bonus for this hotel is its location next to the Taichung main train station and opposite Miyahara, a very famous and fancy ice-cream parlor and pineapple cake shop, well worth a visit (the pineapple cakes make great gifts to bring home from Taiwan).

Value for money. Rooms are clean, staffs never fail to greet. Transport not a problem as there are cabs in front of hotel & TRA & bus stops near the hotel. Breakfast can be found outside on left & right side of hotel if you are not fussy. Left side is a food truck selling porridge, rice ball & noodle while right side is a permanent stall selling all type of sandwichs. Reception staffs always helpful in giving directions to places u want to go. Only drawback is rooms are without wardrope but just a few hangers on the wall. I will definitely stay at 53 Hotel again when I'm back in Taichung.

Superb location near Taichung Train Station”

Taichung was my 1st stop during our Taiwan Trip, we had travelled a long journey from Taoyuan, we had no diffciulty finding this hotel which is located just 5 mins from the Train Station. Check in @ 3pm, we arrived too early and they could keep our baggages for us, as we went for the city tour and head back in the evening to collect our baggages and back to the room. The view from the window is another building just beside us, no view. The room is small, but just enough for a couple like us, the bed is comfortable, we had a good rest. Breakfast was a choice of east & west, so selection is good. Overall its a good experience @ 53 Hotel!

Good location, very value for money”

Just a two-minute walk from the Taichung train station - very convenient. Just opposite the Miyahara - place where many tourists buy foodstuffs as gifts (in high-class packaging). Also a convenience store just beside. Most buildings around the Taichung train station were rather run-down. So I was surprised to see that Hotel 53 actually looked really nice. Room furnishing was nice too. Overall very comfortable, and very value for money - definitely much more than I expected from a 3-star hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful in recommending places to go as well.

Second time at 53!”

53 Hotel has been a stopover hotel whenever we visit Taichung. It's room are spacious and clean. Most importantly, it is really near Miyahara (just across the street) -- they sell really massive ice creams with a wide selection of generous toppings such as, cheesecake, pineapple biscuits etc. We like it so much that we will usually have dessert before our dinner! There are lots of food to explore around the neighbourhood -- Steamboat is one of the popular ones. There were a couple of vegan cafes(?) that popped up around in our recent trip Dec 2018. Gym had some dumbbells, and 2 thread mill, and a water dispenser. Pleasant short stay and staff were quite helpful when it comes to recommend places of interest.

It was our first time staying at 53 Hotel, we chose this hotel because of the overall satisfactory comment by other visitors. 53 hotel is better than what we expected, the family room is spacious and clean. Location is convenient. Hotel staff are helpful. We will definitely choose 53 hotel again if we go to Taichung in future.

Excellent”

Stayed 2 nights at 53 Hotel in January. Would say that this is the best hotel among our stay in Taiwan. Room is spacious. Shampoo smell nice. Room is clean. There are 2 sets of washing machine and dryer at the basement, free for all to use. If you do not have detergent, you can buy from the receptionist at 30 twd. Gym is available as well. Location wise, it is located just opposite the railway station (5 mins walk), making it convenient to travel even in the early morning. You can choose to walk from hotel to most of the tourist attractions. Miyahara is directly opposite the hotel. Taxis are avaiable at the door step. Recommend everyone to go to zhongxiao night market. Mainly targeted for local as its by the roadside, which means that you have to watch out for the car especially the bike as local tend to just stop right in front of the store to order food and drive off. Food is a lot better I would say. Grab the cheap sushi. Cons: We brought our own detergent contained in a plastic bottle and placed it on the table. The cleaner threw it away. We seperated rubbish on the floor beside the door and stuffs that we want together with our belongings on the table. In the end, they threw things on the table as well. Cleaners should be trained not to throw anything on the table. They threw away all our bottles except for their own bottles. Pretty bad. Otherwise, this hotel would have been perfect. I would still consider this hotel for my next travel as the overall impression is good.

Great hotel ”

I must say it's one of the best hotel in TaiChung I have ever stayed. Actually, it's the third time I went to TaiChung, but this is the first time to came with my family members. I did lots of preparation job before I chose it and I found out 53 hotel have so many good comments, that's why I decide to have a try. I can swear, you won't regret if you stay in here and you must enjoy it very much.

Comfortable stay with 53 Hotel”

very impressed with the level of customer service standard in Taiwan. 53 hotel is a small but well located boutique type of hotel. friendly receptions and helpful staffs made our stay even more pleasant. It is near to taichung train station and convenient stores are just few walking steps away. room size is ok, clean, and comfortable. Will certainly return if we visit taichung again.
