Perfect Paradise”

Maikhao Dream Resort & Spa Natai was a fabulous experience! Was looking for some place relatively obscure for some peace and relaxation and that was exactly what I got. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and went out of their way with their service. I couldn't have asked for better! Not a single communication issue as almost everyone spoke pretty good English. Rooms were huge, clean, and beautifully decorated. The evening chocolates/cookies room delivery service added a very special touch. The almost deserted beach right in front of the hotel restaurant was absolutely wonderful... though the sea was pretty rough since this was during the low season. The view of the sunset was simply unforgettable. I highly recommend the resort and I will definitely be visiting again very soon!

DREAM COME TRUE”

The best stay i made in Thailand. Where staff, facilities where at its best. Although the only minus point is a bit of renovation required in pool area ( which was already ongoing during the time i was there). 10/10 will be what i call it. Never came across a hotel or a resort where the staff are truly the greatest asset like maikhao dream resort & Spa Natai. Those staff were able to change our moody days to happy and joyful. Thank you to the staff if they come to see this. And very special thanks to Ping Pong ( who i sadly couldn't manage to catch up on my last day)

My 2 night stay at the Natai Beach resort was idyllic. Peaceful surroundings, excellent service in the restaurant, friendly welcoming staffand exceptional cleanliness. The newly renovated pool was a wonderful experience with crystal clear water. The hotel is in an amazing location right on the tranquil beach.

A Terrific Time!”

A thoroughly enjoyable week at the Natai. The resort was spacious outside; plenty of amenities for both children & adults. The buffet always had a plentiful array, both Thai and “conventional,” our room & bath was spacious w/banquette seating & our own private pool was well worth the extra. The staff was friendly, most accommodating; facilities inside & out were kept tidy and clean. This is geared more to a family type resort than 2 others we had occasion to visit during our stay. The Jivanna is definitely high end, exclusive and the food especially superior, geared more for adults, as was the Akyra; newer, more polished, the landscaping especially lush, the staff perhaps more fluent in English. The pool here significantly smaller, the facility smaller & condensed, the room I visted on the 3rd floor; much smaller, 3 chairs, 2 dbl/queen beds, bath (no tub), a small balcony. All features newer and higher end, but definitely “squeezed” in comparison. Hope to return again w/grandkids!

Beautiful beach and friendly staff!”

If you're looking to get away from the craziness of Phuket island, this is the perfect place for you. Since it's so far away from the main attractions of Phuket, you won't see anyone on the beach but resort guests and the (very) occasional fisherman. No hawkers, no boat tour guides, and no masseuses harassing you. The beach, pool, and grounds are well-maintained and there is decent snorkeling right off the beach. We visited in February, and at that time the surf was very calm and the swimming was excellent. The resort also faces West, so you'll see amazing sunsets if the weather is good. The food and drinks are good, but you should be prepared to pay the price since there are no bars or restaurants within walking distance. To save money, tou can take a taxi to the nearby Tesco, where you can stock up on food and drinks.

From satisfactory start to great ending”

At first it was very hard for my driver to find this place. There are two resorts under this name one being in Phuket, and the other in Phang Nga. Initially, my driver took me to the wrong location. When booking, be sure to note the correct directions. Check-in was fast, I was greeted by friendly staff. I loved my large room from the get-go. The décor was clean and modern. Plenty of shelving and storage, a couch, lots of cushions and chairs. Bathroom was clean and large in size. In-room wifi and internet were fast and secure. Buffet breakfast, as well as meals weren’t as great I would have hoped for. Seemed quite ordinary and boring. I wish they had changed it up a bit. There were no freshly squeezed juices at breakfast, but store bought ones, which I didn’t care for. The hotel provides a daily shuttle to the nearby Tesco where they give you 1.5 hours to shop. There is also a bakery, pharmacy and donut shop. Outside Tesco has a nearby 7/11 and food stalls where you can buy local food and snacks. The driver also took us to a local fruit market and we were happy to buy some fresh fruit. The resort is rather secluded, but that didn’t bother me. I was there to relax, and that I did spending numerous hours at the pool and in the gardens. The grounds are beautifully decorated with a contemporary feel. There are lots of touches and sitting areas which I enjoyed. In terms of the beach, I was surprised to find the beach quite dirty full of garbage, tree trunks, bottles, glass, bags, shoes and debris. This was the rainy season so naturally the sea swept lots of garbage in, however it didn’t seem like anyone was taking the time to notice this. Only after a few days, they started daily cleaning and garbage removal. It finally started to look like it belonged to a resort. It really is a nice resort once things are in order, which they have improved upon the last few days of my stay.

Best hotel ever”

Cant say enough about this hotel, i had one Deluxe suite for 3nights. Was prob the best 3nights in a long time. Upon arrival there was live music performed just for me. Really good service by the ppl working there. The pool, spa food places are just amazing. I got one welcome spa treatment, it was 15min back massage. The hotel has a shuttle leaving every day at 10.30 to Phuket, takes about one 1hour to get there. Its about. They also have one BMW 7 series limo service. I had this BMW to the airport my last day, it was really nice. for the BMW 7 to the airport. The beach is really nice, they also have activities on the beach every day. You can rent kajak as well. There are 2 food places, one thai and one Mediterranean. both are really good. Its truly a perl hidden from all the rush n tourism.

amazing hotel and staff,the perfect place to stay!”

we stayed at maikhao for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. the rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. everything is luxurious as you would expect with a 5 star hotel. the beach is clean, and there are plenty of activities to do onsite. the only downside is the location to phuket. it is about a 40 minute drive into downtown phuket, and transfers can get expensive, although the staff is very helpful with scheduling. the staff here goes above and beyond... you won't be dissapointed. it is absolutely gorgeous! the spa and fitness center is immaculate, and the massage was the best we had. thank you maikhao for such a great vacation!

great resort for relaxation , right on the beach”

This resort promised a lot but didn't quite measure up to the 5 stars seriously lacking in maintenance, ( unfortunately Thais build things and then let them fall apart ), The location is perfect for a remote getaway on the beach, unfortunately because of the remoteness price gouging is rampart, The food was good but at western prices, They charge 90 baht for a 600mm bottle of water which is 7 baht in the fridge at 7-11. I suspected this would be the case so stopped on the way and filled the car with beer, mixed drinks, chips etc. Found a great Thai/ seafood restruant 5 minutes walk Nth up the beach and this saved the day, as the resorts 2 restruants were very expensive, and always empty, Go figure! if they lowered the price they would get much more custom. The staff are excellant, very friendly, helpfull and good english, Happy hour 4 to 6 pm at the pool bar, for 1 drinks was great. The resort is very remote and there is nothing to do outside the resort except walk on the beach, although they do provide a bus in the late afternoon to take you into the local markets. It suited us we wanted to get away from it all for a few days

Pang nga hotel”

I reserved this hotel by mistake, thought this one is the same location as MaiKhao dream hotel in Phuket at MaiKhao Beach. But this hotel is in Pang Nga provience which I had to cross bridge to get outside of Phuket, althought 10 miniutes drive from the bridge. Hotel is nice private beach front and quiet, but the section of entrance road still underconstruction, so a bit difficult to drive during the rainy season cause there are many mud puddies along the way. But the hotel and the rooms are very nice, new and very clean. Best value for money. This hotel is further away from city, so better rent a car to go there. Taxi to go to Phuket city is around 1,200-1,800 THB.

Peaceful...had the Natai Beach almost to ourselves”

I enjoyed my stay at the Maikhao in Natai - it is a quiet place with lovely surroundings. The beach is beautiful - if you are looking for parties and bars you will not fin it here - this is not Phuket and I loved it!

Reasonable hotel on an amazing beach”

This might be the best beach in Thailand - long, golden, empty, with beautifully clear water. Great swimming and sunset walks. That's the main reason to book Natai. The resort is pretty good, although not the best. They committed a cardinal sin by overbooking and trying to tell me they didn't have a room for me even though I'd paid in advance. Of course, I insisted and they found me a room. They made up for this poor start by giving me a generous late check out. Pretty good food, although the breakfasts are not up to the high standards of other southeast Asian resorts. The staff are friendly but slow to get stuff done. It's worth knowing the hotel is Russian-owned and most of the guests are Russian. Not a problem, but you will be in a minority if you aren't speaking Russian by the pool.

great hotel & friendly staff”

our stay is lovely from picking up by the bmw 7s to the beautiful hotel. this hotel is suitable for someone who just want to have a relaxing get away as the hotel is quiet, great pool & private beach. the hotel staffs is friendly but the cons are, the service are not consitance for example someday we get a free juice by the pool someday we don't or sometime, half of the pool people get the free juice only. the spa was good but they don't give you the full time as you've paid for which is a shame... i was plaining to have massage everyday but because they cut short my treatment, i've changed my mind. restuarants food was ok especially the thai restaurant (natai beach)but slow & the western restuarant, lunch menu is ok but dinner... over priced as the food is poor. overall, its good if you just want to recharge your mind & body but not for shopper because it's far from shops.

Right in front of the beach, all you can have in resort”

The resort is 25 mins drive away from the Phuket international airport. There are all facilities you need like swimming pool, fitness center, sauna, steam room, massage and spa place, activities center, kids area, etc. Lunch grilled bbq is perfect by the pool. Breakfast buffet to start a beautiful day with superb sea view. Room is huge and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Eill come back again.

Wonderful hotel with great staff”

we stayed for 5 days at this hotel in march. it was fabulous and i could have stayed forever. the hotel is lovely buildings in a thai style. we had a pool terrace room which was very nice and the pool was big enough to relax and cool down in but not really for swimming! we hired a car at phuket airport as the hotel is about 1/2 hour drive away which meant we could travel around the area on our own. the hotel is very quiet but that is what we were looking for and meant a deserted beach as it was quite a long way from other hotels. the staff were all superb without exception right down to the little old man who was doing the garden on his knees! we did not eat in the restaurants as on the first night we found the little thai restaurant about 250 yds up the beach which was wonderful even in the pouring rain.

Quite, clean, relax but nothing to do.”

Very good place for refreshment. Quiet and garden friendly. They allowed early check-in to us at 10am with good welcome drinks & fruits. We also got free room upgrade. But, deluxe room was not impressive which much worse and smaller than photos. You would better get a room from duplex class. Otherwise never satisfied. And they has got super good swimming pools and spas and fitness centre. Especially not crowded. However, there was boring. Nothing to do near there because so bad location. Even no grocery, no restaurants. If you don't want to stick at hotel, must rent a car or bike. Breakfast was acceptable compared with cheap room price which had got 60% discounts. Two maikhao resorts in phuket. So you make sure to taxi driver or tuk tuk or whoever "go to maikhao in natai, please."

Paradise”

Beautiful hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely with everything you need and more. Pool and beach were stunning. Restaurants were expensive as were the spa treatments. We found a really good beach restaurant if you walk along the beach a little way which was inexpensive. There was nothing else around which some might find a problem, but geat for us as we wanted peace and quiet. We booked the cheapest deluxe room, but nearly booked a pool room, these were very overlooked from above, so no privacy at all. So undecided if it would be worth the extra money! Would most definately return.

Beautiful resort but far from city”

Natai Beach Resort is a beautiful resort but it is located very far from Patong, the main area for all the entertainment and food. You definitely need to rent a car/van/motorcycle to travel around. However, if you're looking for a place to just relax and away from the busy area, this is the perfect place. My family and I stayed at the beach house and it was perfect as it was facing The beachfront, making it easy for us to step foot on the beach anytime we want.Food in the hotel is delicious and staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good stay. We were satisfied with the facilities, food and service. Just the location was too far away.

Amazing room, great spa and friendly staff”

Maikhao has 2 hotels about 25 minutes or THB1000 taxi ride apart. We were north of Phuket a Island. It had a seemingly endless and deserted beach, a great pool and pool bar, fantastic rooms and a spa that was out of this world! Transport was easy to organise through reception.
