Great location close to the train station”
The Bossotel Chiang Mai Hotel was in a good location, since we were leaving by train. The desk staff were very nice about keeping our bags for us because our train was leaving at 5 pm. The hotel pool, although it was located in a different building behind the hotel, was great. The rooms were nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. We found breakfast to be more suitable for Asian travellers; there were not many Western dishes to choose from. The upholstery on the chairs and booths in the eating area had seen better days. All things considered, we would definitely stay here again.

Great location and value for monrey”
i have stayed here regularly on my visits to chiang mai. this time i am very pleased to say that the buffet breakfasts have vastly improved - i.e. they have now included additional courses including 'fried chicken cashew', 'fried spicy pork' etc... it may be a small (positive) move, but the breakfast buffets are now something i really look forward to staying at the bossotel... overall, i can state all the usual about bossotel, clean, friendly staff, functional and excellent value for money.

Excellent hotel strategically located in front of the train station.”
This hotel is perfect for people arriving/departing from Chiang Mai train station. There is not much to do in the area, and if you would like to walk to the main Chiang Mai attractions, I suggest you choose a hotel closer to the city. That being said, there are a lot of taxi and tuk tuks parked in front of the hotel to take you anywhere. The main areas (Lobby, coworking spaces, lounges) were almost brand new. We chose a "modern room" instead of a standard room (not sure if standard rooms are renovated as well). Room was almost new and clean, except for the old, VERY noisy fridge that we had to unplug at night. Shower head is very strange and uncomfortable (Tiny nozzles spraying a mist-like stream of water, but very strongly) Buffet breakfast is located in a restaurant next door. Buffet with 4 choices of hot foods, bread, mini muffins, juices, coffee, a few cold vegetables, and egg station. Vegetarian/vegan options could be improved. Staff was really nice.

Convenient locastion away from thr tourist parts”
i stay at bossotel for regular visits to chiang mai. this is a very good value hotel with a few good selling points. there is a thai beer garden called rod sabiang next door selling a range of thai food. near the train station, there are many food and drink stands. the area itself has all the usual western conveniences such as atm's, 7-11's and transport into town.

More value for your money with good location”
The rooms are almost 5 star quality with clean and mordern bathrooms. The height of the shower head is ridiculously low which requires some bending but besides that minor problem, nothing to complain about. The hohel is just 8-10 mins drive to the night bazzar and lots of tuk tuks available outside the hotel. This is an ideal hotel for those who are travelling to chiang mai by train as you can literally wheel your bags into the hotel from the train station. Although the hotel may not have too many facilities besides the clean pool, it is ideal for those visiting chiang mai for tours and other attractions.

Excellent value for money”
The hotel is literally across the street from the train station - which means that it is excellent for those than plan to stay in Chiang Mai for short time and arrive by train. The interior of the hotel is at least a 3 star, very clean, nice big room, nice staff, travel agent has a desk by the reception area, and she was pretty informative. Hotel keeps your luggage if you need it, early check in was allowed, express laundry for reasonable prices, decent selection of food for breakfast. Nothing spectacular or too fancy, but excellent value for money.

Fantastic service and fantastic room.”
We booked this hotel as it was across the road from the train station and we planned on catching the night train the next day. Very accomodating staff and we found the room to be very clean with quality furnishings. If I had of known about this place I would probably stayed the duration of my trip to Chiang mai. Very clean room, kids loved the room, very kid friendly. free drinking water provided, and breakfast was great. Loved both the Thai and western options. Will come stay again when we visit next. Thank you to the staff for all the assistance.

Bossotel Inn's a winner!”
There is a good welcome form English speaking staff on your arrival. They are willing to give you time, answer questions and provide directions if necessary. The rooms whilst basic are clean and adequate for a short stay for about a week. Whilst the hotel is quite a long walk from the night bazaar, it is quiet and interesting one crossing the river. It is a particularly well appointed hotel should you be travelling via the railway station in Chiang mai. The hotel has a wonderful swimming pool situated in the nearby adjoining hotel. For a more little walk, it is large and clean and well worth the visit!

Stayed longer”
Decided on another extension, which was easy on Agoda. All I needed to do was email booking confirmation to reception and everything was looked after. The reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly at all times, and Gems at the travel desk became a good friend. The Bossotel was a perfect place to stay while deciding on my next moves... and I eventually moved to a smaller place near the night market for a few days before travelling on to Laos. All in all, a very happy stay was enjoyed at Bossotel and I recommend it to all.

Bossotel, Chiang Mai”
The Bossotel is an older budget hotel located across the street from the train station. It is a good value budget priced hotel. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean, and maintained. Everything functioned well. A bit far to walk to night bazaar, but negotiating with tuk tuks for transportation is not difficult. Tour desk is available as well, but guests can shop around for better prices by checking the Chiang Mai Tourist magazine. Good hotel, recommended for budget minded travelers.

good hotel in a great location for travel by train”
i have stayed here on several occasions and the hotel never disappoints. the rooms are of a very good standard with comfortable furnishings and all the ammenities you need. the main reason i choose to stay is the location, directly opposite the railway station. i usually fly into chiang mai the use the rail network to travel the north west of the country. the trains are reliable, comfortable and very cheap. the breakkfas is average by thai standards and the restaurant is fairly good, but there are so many eating options in chiang mai that i rarely dine in house. next door to the hotel ( and i think it is connected in some way ) is agreat little al fresco bar diner which offersgreat value all day and night. the hotel is a little out of the way for the night life, but no more than 80baht by tuk tuk to anywhere you may wish to visit.

I've stay in this hotel twice! Nice location just next to train station.”
I've visit and stay here twice already. As I'm loving to travelling by train and this hotel is just in front of the main train station! Room was nice, the only thing that I don't like is to control the shower temperature. I don't really understand how it is work LOL. However if I have another trip to Chiang Mai by train, I'll probably stay here again!

Older but lovely hotel and great friendly sevice.”
the hotel is in a good location as far as the railway station is concerned and not to for from the airport. only a short taxi or tuktuk ride to the night bazzar and other markets. the service was very friendly and polite. the only down side was one night the people next door were quite loud until late in the night and were very audible through the adjoining door. all in all i would recomend a stay here as the cost was very cheap and you cant expect a 5 star hotel at this price.enjoyed my stay and would stay again. thankyou staff of the bossotel.

A nice hotel in a good location”
i have stayed here a few times because of it's location near the train station and for business. the staff are very helpful and polite. the rooms are clean and functional. the bossotel is about 4km from the centre, but a tuktuk is only a 60 baht ride downtown. there are nearby restaurants, shops and other facilities (e.g. 7-11's, a park, atm, pharmacy etc), all within easy walking distance. overall this hotel is very good value for money

I have stayed here a few times because of it's location near Train station. I have found the staff to be very helpful and polite. The rooms are clean and functional. Convenient location and consistently good service”
I am a reguloar here on my visits to Chiang Mai. This hotel is consistently good. THe breakfasy buffet is of a high standard and offers great value for money - considering this is not an expensive hotel. There are some more positives such as a better than average swimming pool and a quirky but friendly bunch a tuktuk drivers outside

Good stopover hotel near the station”
Bossotel Chiang Mai Having previously stayed at the Bossotel in Bangkok, we booked this expecting a similar style of hotel. Think again, this is completely different. This large hotel is situated right across from the railway station and is really a stopover hotel for the station and certainly not a holiday hotel. However, if a stopover is what you want for a good price this is what you get. It is too far out of town to walk to the night market or tourist areas, which means that you have to get a tuk tuk all the time. This begins to negate the low price for the room. The hotel appears to be divided into two sections, each with their own entry and reception, one part being reserved for Thai people. Our room, on the 5th floor, faced the station and did not have a balcony as rooms in the other part appeared to have. The room was small, and a bit shabby, but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom quite functional. We had free wi-fi in the room. Breakfast was buffet style and catered nearly exclusively for Asians with virtually nothing for the westerners except toast and marmalade.

Extended stay”
Well I decided to extend my stay despite being a bit away from the main attractions in Chiang Mai. Booked a couple of excellent trips with Gems at the travel desk, including an ATV trip which is highly recommended. I actually enjoyed my regular walks to the city and back again, even in the heat. Post Office was very handy for sending stuff home.

Great Value for money”
I always stay here when in Chiang Mai. Its a little out of town, but a short ride in by tuktuk for about 80 baht. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is varied and filling, the pool is great and the staff friendly. I recommend this hotel. Good value for money.

Great for railway, bag storage and breakfast.”
We took the very long (15 hour) train journey from Bangkok, so to be able to walk to the hotel after getting off was blissful. We then ate at the restaurant located next door, which was excellent. The location is quite a way from Chiang Mai centre, so if you're aim is to go to the bars and restaurants in the centre, this might be just for those who are doing a lot of travelling. We took a tour to see elephants and they picked us up from here. We considered moped hire, but noticed that police were very "eager" with riders on our first walk into town. The breakfast is excellent - we ate really well on the lovely eggs, toast and (Thai style) sausages and ham and I loved the fried rice and accompanying Thai dishes. The fruit was lovely and there was also salad available. Tea and coffee and juices were great. The pool is a bit of a walk away from the main building but it was large and pleasant enough. It is used by the condominium too. Internet was available, but as with other hotels we stayed at, a little "intermittent". Staff were lovely and they let us store our bags and valuables for no charge, even when we were away from the hotel. Its location next to the railway was fabulous for us for booking and making our return journey by rail to BKK.
