“Could have been improved, but I will come back”
We went there on a valentines day since its our birthday. We arrive at around 4pm due to heavy traffic. We expected that at this late check in time, the queue is already short. Surprisingly, the check in counter line was too long. I am about the 25th customer. THEY HAVE NO PRIORITY LANE. Their 4 counters were not enough for the surge of customers checking in. It is strongly advise to have additional 3 counters during peak seasons to quickly accommodate tired and hungry travelers. The room is very spacious and with good facilities and even a day bed for superior rooms (can fit up to 3 to 4 guests actually). However, their window, mirror was not cleaned very well and with dust and dirt. The most disgusting part was there were lot of mosquitoes inside the room so pls bring mosquito swatter (around php150 in ace hardware). However, the other room with my sister was not too much infested with mosquitoes. The room's aircon is working so well. The shower heater is very good also as well as the strong water pressure. The bed is comfy to sleep at but the day bed has no blanket nor pillows and the bath towel assigned is for 2 adults only. It could have been better if they have foot rug in the room. The buffet breakfast starts at 6:00 am to 9:30 am. We went there at 6:45 am and there were lot of people already. After we enter, there were lines outside the restaurant. Don't expect too much for the breakfast buffet. There were actually just enough variety of foods , but the taste were just ordinary. The pools were big but we bathe in the sea instead and their shore is clean and well maintained. We actually enjoyed the sea. For the dinner, they have an indoor restaurant which is very pricey as expected. We spent about *** for 5 pax for chicken, tilapia, tuna and rice. They have free service water. Their check out was at 11:00am, I lined up at 11:20 and there's the long lines again. I think I'm the 30th customer this time when I line up but the line were faster this time. At around 12 noon we are done at check out. Here are the suggestions for the travelers checking in at Canyon Cove. 1) be extra early to lessen the time for lining up 2) bring mosquito swatter for safety against mosquitoes 3) bring snacks inside your room 4) bring extra blanket and bath towel if you are more than 2 adults inside the superior room 5) arrive at breakfast buffet as early as 6:30 am 6) the hotel is very wide so expect a lot of walking (for senior and pwds) 7) prepare security deposit in cash which is *** per room.(they accept credit cards but refund turn around time might take 7-10 working days) 8) for travelers coming from manila, it is advisable to have at least 3d2n stay since the travel time tooks so much time 9) when travelling with kids, senior, pwds, always manage their expectation for lines... bring extra patience That's all folks.
