Hotel Cape Panwa 4D3N”
The stay at Cape Panwa Hotel was awesome. Huge room even for a junior suite, pleasant surroundings and environment, private beach. It would be great if there's room wifi for the junior suite though. Nonetheless wifi in public areas are strong. The hotel room is clean and the staff always replenishes the necessities. The TV is mounted such that it can be rotated to face either the sofa or the bed which are at 90 degrees angle to each other. The bed was the size of 2 super single beds. Because we had other plans we didn't manage to get the free boat ride out to coral island and didn't manage to utilize the free complimentary drinks. Cape Panwa Hotel has a sister hotel nearby (about 15mins walk) and they provide free shuttle services to and fro the Kantary Hotel every 20mins. There is a night market, several delicious restaurants and a convenience store at the exterior of Kantary Hotel. The staff at Kantary seem to be more friendly and helpful even though they know that we're not from Kantary. Overall, Cape Panwa is a good hotel to relax and chill. Private beach was beautiful. They even provided a tram (5mins ride) from the hotel lobby to the beach.

Our favorite hotel on Phuket”
the cape panwa hotel is by far our favorite hotel on phuket island. on the southeast tip of the island, it has lovely breezes daily that make it cooler than patong and the west coast. isolated from the noise and the crowds of most of the rest of the island, it is a real shangri-la peaceful and joyful hideaway. the staff is exceptionally alert and competent. the manager, tim laven, upgraded our room within minutes of our suggestion that we did not have a good view of the sea. the staff at the beaches was friendly, attentive and very competent. the rooms are clean and there is free wireless in the "round house" patio of the hotel. the breakfasts are outside in a beautiful patio area of the hotel and the boat trips to coral island or phi phi are easy to arrange. cape panwa is a bit isolated but that is what we were looking for. not an abundance of great restaurants nearby, but much peace and quiet and beauty.

Beautiful resort away from the hustle & bustle ”
Having eyed off this resort many times on Scoopon I was eager to book it but we only needed one night so we booked for a good price on Agoda. The hotel is located in Cape Panwa, located about 40 minutes or so from the main tourist area of Patong. We booked the Cape Suite. Our suite had beautifully decorated and was very spacious with a walk in robe, lounge area, whirlpool spa on the balcony along with a day bed, mini bar at affordable prices and a coffee machine. The hotel property itself is quite impressive with the 'private beach area' and the rest of the hotel connected by a Tram operating up the hill or several stairs. The beach area has the pier, plenty of sun beds, the beach house which offers fine dining, a pool outside the beach house and the bamboo bar. Cafe Andaman is up on the hill behind the lobby overlooking the pool/beach serving up cocktails at around 200 baht each and a menu with both Thai and western dishes all day. Breakfast is served here also and is huge! Everything you can possibly think of is available and is of good quality. Even an omelette station for freshly cooked omelettes. The gym is good with sufficient equipment. A singer with a beautiful voice performs easy listening songs in the Otter bar which was a great addition to our 'Candlelight dinner' in the Top of the reef restaurant adjacent to the bar. We had originally book private beach dining however as it was raining we were offered at check in an option for the same menu at the beach house or the western menu in the Top of the reef restaurant for half the price. Our dinner was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back one day!!

Beautiful place”
Cape Panwa is a truly beautiful hotel. It is big, without being impersonal or imposing. The facilities are great - especially the beach and beach pool. It really makes a difference having a private beach in somewhere like Phuket (IMO). I went in low season, and I imagine the place is probably MUCH busier during high season. At times I had the whole beach and whole sea to myself! The area is good, but there isn't much to do. I only stayed for four days which was perfect. There are lots of taxis/tours etc too around (both organised by the hotel and also independently) if that's your thing. The restaurants/bars in the hotel are okay, but not great. All were VERY empty when I was there, which is not great for atmosphere. The breakfast buffet however is great! Room was really big and luxurious for the price. Overall, a great place to stay that is just nearly bordering on the side of too expensive for Phuket. Beers/food at the hotel were double (if not more) than a little further out. Good shuttle services to take to you to the nearest 'town'. Staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful!

Very nice hotel”
Cape Panwa was the first hotel we stayed at on our trip, and we couldn't be happier about our choice. The hotel seems really well-run, and the rooms and facilities looks very good and well-kept. The beach is really nice! Palm trees line the beach, white sand and turqoise water. It's a bit rocky at low tide, but nothing we cared about. It's still mostly sand, and you can still take a bath when the tide is out. If the tide is low you can still go for a swim in the two pools, so we didn't care about the tide. They have free sunbeds and bath towels, and it's not crowded at all. We ate at all the restaurants, and the food is quite good. Especially at Panwa House, the curry there rocks! And what a beautiful location. All in all, a very nice hotel that will absolutely be on my to do-list the next time I go to Thailand. If you are young and single it might get a bit boring, and it's quite far away from both Phuket Town and other more happening beaches. But it's a great place to start of your tan and relax.

Thumbs up for Cape Panwa Resort/Hotel”
"our 4 night-stay at cape panwa resort was heavenly. the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious with such variety of choices created by their french chef ( we heard ). the smiles and courtesy of the resort staff still linger weeks on in our psyche. the nearby village offers wonderful shopping and is just a short walk to the nearby unique phuket aquarium and seaside promenade. we will definitely come back to cape panwa resort."

Quiet Private Resort”
The Panwa Cape area of Phuket is quiet, beautiful, and very relaxing. The Cape Panwa Hotel offers an escape from the touristy parts of Phuket. However, given it's outlying location, it does take a longer while (and more expensive taxi) to get to this location. However, once you get to the hotel, you are welcomed by a lovely staff and a cool towel. The rooms here are spacious and most, if not all, offer a beautiful view. The bathrooms are clean and modern. The Spa is booked quickly so make your reservations early. You take a mini tram down to the beach area. Overall, stay was nice, but you pay for it with the price of the stay.

Attractive Hotel with wonderful service”
In general, we are very satisfied with the hotel. The privite beach is the best we love and enjoy. The food is good and price is reasonable. The hotel has well trained staffs. They are hoest and professional to provide quality service. I have left wallet in the safe of my room after check out, but they kept it for me and returned it to me safely. We had wonderful experiences in cape panwa hotel and will go back again for sure. If there is one thing I have to say about any disappointment, that is the view in my room. My family has spent 5 nights in cape suite room at C wing. The room is comfortable, but the ocen view is NOT as I expected.

Fantastic hotel with great view”
Although the hotel was built for many years, it stilll looks nice and well maintained. The service was very good from the front desk, the restaurant and the housekeeper. I had such a wonderful time there. We stayed in Cape Suite with jacuzzi on the balcony. However, the jacuzzi is quite small for two people. The view from the balcony was great. The beach was very nice, clean and white. The hotel is big enough for activities. You can walk to the pier, take pics at the Panwa old house, dining at the restaurant, take the tram up and down the hill, swim in the pools or in the sea. They have free shuttle bus service to Kantary Bay hotel where there are shops, restaurants and cafes. And you can walk to Phuket aquarium from there. The hotel is about 12 km from Phuket town, quite far if you don't have car.

An oasis of calm with its own private beach set wi”
There are some places where, as soon as you arrive, any stress just melts away. The Cape Panwa is one of them. The staff are unfailingly polite, make an effort to remember your name, what you like, where you choose to sit on the beach... there is a sense that this hotel, while embodying all the luxury of a high-quality 21st century hotel, is true to its authentic Thai roots. The grounds of the hotel are crammed with banana palms, casuarina trees, flowering shrubs and a grove of coconut palms on the private beach, which mean you are continually reminded of the natural world. The walls are all open, so there is lots of air and light. Food is generally good and the hotel strives to make guests happy. Although there was building work going on, it was minimal in terms of disruption yet the hotel still laid on free lunches with drinks and excursions. The new suites are stunning - limestone tiles, dark wood furniture, plasma TV, jacuzzi, state-of-the-art bathrooms. A very special place that allows you to unwind and recharge the batteries ready to face the world again.

Legendary hotel with private beach, a steal”
From the open lobby and the main pool/hotel wings the beautiful private beach is accessible either via a few stairs or the hotels own mountain-mini-train; great after a long dinner at the beach and especially for kids. The service is good, not outstanding but that is easily compensated by the great food in all restaurants we sampled and the extensive Western/Asian Breakfast buffet. Next to the large main pool there is also a 2nd pool right at the beach, incl. a small outdoor whirlpool. The pool villas also have their private infinity pools. The rooms are large and fairly new renovated, the suites also have private Jacuzzis on their large balcony. The hotel staff is very helpful in organizing trips to all locations around the island and there are a few free shuttle buses running to major destinations daily. Cape Panwa is a great place to relax. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!

Great place”
We had a great time at Cape Panwa. Although we tend to like smaller hotels, Cape Panwa offered a cozy stay despite its pretty big size. Rooms were big, spotless, and cozy. Breakfast was nothing to complain. One of the best thing about Cape is the Cape House, located on the beach. This classy, antique house is a place of wonder for those attracted to history and architecture!

Hotel for relax”
It was our eighth trip to Thailand, but first to Phuket. Usually we were staying in Pattaya Royal Cliff, but after this five-star hotel Cape Panwa is beautiful for this money. If you want to be off the beaten track from the major tourist areas in Phuket, then this is the place for you. The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, food was great and more than sufficient. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Great little find!”
Cape Panwa is a great little find. A brilliant hotel with a private beach and two pools. It’s located at the bottom corner of the island, which looks remote when you look at the map, but it isn’t really, as the island is so small that you can get from the airport to the hotel in less than an hour. It is one of the unspoilt areas of Phuket and has more of a laid back feel to it. After sunbathing on the private beach all day you can retire to the main pool for a swim which is like swimming in a warm bath! Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic resort, amazing private beach”
We stayed at Cape Panwa for 5 nights Fantasic facilities, amazing rooms and brilliant service. We visited several beaches on our travels to Thailand and Malaysia but found the Cape Panwa private beach to be the most beautiful. The high tide can bring in some rubbish but this is promptly removed by the resort staff and is not an issue that is isolated to the area. We look forward to returning.

quiet and comfort”
mature design and quiet enough. Cape Panwa do not have lots of people, for example, chinese (but i'm chinese, LOL), so you can have a quiet and comfort tour in this little cape, such as hotel, restaurant, beach and sea museum. Well designed garden and swimming pool, private beach and nice staff, lobby-only free wifi, and i still want to say buffet dinner is so valuable and well tasted, but only offered in monday, wednesday and friday... A good place to families, couple and solo traveler just like me:)

Great place to get away from it all”
cape panwa is a great place to stay if you want to have a quiet getaway. the private beach, especially, is a good place to unwind and relax. there is a spa on the hotel grounds that provides a complete range of services to help one relax further. the restaurants in the hotel and its sister hotel kantaray bay provide good food, and gives you more reason not to venture out to the busier parts of the island. we had dinner at the gorgeous panwa house by the beach, where the food was authentically thai and service impeccable.

Great place, unfortunately we suspect bed bugs”
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Cape Panwa Hotel however, my husband and I left with some welts that appeared similar to mosquito bites. Having no previous experience with bed bugs we didn't suspect until after we'd returned home. There were very few mosquitoes at Cape Panwa but my husband had quite a few welts (I had only a few)on his lower leg. We did some research and are quite certain they are a result of bed bug bites. We notified the hotel via email the day after we checked out and included an attached photo. The only response we received was that other guests had been assigned to the same room and didn't lodge a complaint. This to me is not confirmation that they have acted to determine if bed bugs are present, rather it is only an assumption that there are no bed bugs since there is only one complaint.

Cape panwa bliss”
I enjoyed our stay at the hotel,it was just for 2 nights.I wished we had stayed here for more.We could really compare hotels as on this trip we stayed at 3 properties in Phuket. We would love to return as guests to Cape panwa. Definitely would recommend it to my friends.infact it made me wonder what am I doing on the other part if the planet.
