The river view is absolutely beautiful. The bed is very soft and comfortable. However, the bathroom does not have a bidet.”
Underground parking is quite dark with orange lights, but there are signs. Stayed 2 nights with a 3,000 baht deposit. Receipt provided and paid in cash, which will be returned at check-out. There is a 7-Eleven and Starbucks nearby. The room has a beautiful river view and good soundproofing. The hotel did not turn on the air conditioning in the room, so it was a bit hot at first. Had to wait a while for it to cool down. Eventually, the staff switched the fan to cool mode. The room is well-equipped with a comfortable and clean bed, large soft pillows, and a TV (Netflix not available). The bathroom does not have a bidet shower and the bathtub does not hold water well. During the COVID period, the restaurant was closed, so breakfast was served in a box in the room. It was quite cold and not very tasty, but luckily there was a microwave to warm up some of it. The advantage is that if you don't finish the food, you can keep it for the next meal. It's not very delicious, but it's okay. I recommend downloading the Chatrium Hotels app for easy access to hotel information, ordering food, and checking expenses. Most of the staff are friendly and provide good service, especially the room service staff who are polite and provide excellent service. Some front desk staff provided incorrect information, but they corrected it (they would be even more charming if they apologized a little). However, there was a small female front desk staff who was very cute and had great interpersonal skills. Overall, it's a nice hotel to stay in. Beautiful room, beautiful view, and comfortable bed. In the hotel room, just before the scheduled time, there was a slight problem with the air conditioning leaking into the bathroom, causing a lot of water to accumulate. We had to use a towel to soak up the water and wait for it to be fixed before calling to report the issue. When we returned to the room, we found an apology letter for the problem that had occurred and that the problem had been resolved. The breakfast was of good quality and had a variety of options, but we couldn't try everything because there were so many choices. There were Indian, Chinese, boiled rice noodles, and everything tasted good. The mini-bar in the room had everything we needed, and it was included in the room rate, but we could add more if we wanted. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were sufficient for the number of people who stayed in the room. There was a shuttle service to Icon Siam and Sathorn, which was free for both hotel guests and outsiders. Overall, it was impressive, and we would consider staying there again. There were fewer Thai guests than foreigners at the hotel.

Our experience with the Chatrium Hotel started before we even entered the oversized lobby doors. Arriving in Bangkok after traveling for 36 hours from our home in Iowa, we were tired and the luggage was starting to get very heavy. I don't know if the concierge of the hotel saw the look of desperation on my face as I was lugging our bags towards the hotel or just really loves his job, but before I knew it an ambitous young man, who I had hoped was employed by the hotel, was out the door and taking two of our bags without even knowing that we were for sure checking in at the hotel. I wasn't sure at that moment but it was a sign to come of the exceptional service that we would come to expect with our next two days we stayed with the Chatrium Hotel. The staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating. They were quick to respond to our questions and comments and were patient while we tested out the very few words of Thai that we had learned before arriving in Bangkok. The staff all spoke very good English and everything was done with a smile. We arrived at ~9:30 AM and check in was not until 2:00 PM but they were willing to hold our luggage while we explored the nearby neighborhood for a bit. Starbucks and 7/11 right next to hotel is super convenient. When we came back ~11:30 our room was ready and luggage was already delivered to our room! We also requested a later check out of 2:00 PM versus noon which they also accommodated with a smile. The hotel itself was beautiful, we had a king suite with a city view balcony, and the room was amazing. The room was very clean, had a sink, a large refrigerator and freezer, along with a two burner stove top and an oven. We didn't use the stove/oven, but I am sure they worked just fine. The balcony did have a very nice view of the river and the city. The city sounds were not noticed from our room and we both slept very nicely in the very comfortable bed. The shower was a glass walled shower with great water pressure and a separate bath tub. The toilets did have a bidet, which we enjoy in our very own home (highly recommended if you don't have one) and everything seemed clean and well maintained. The breakfast was amazing the two mornings that we were guests of the hotel. We commented between the two of us that it had to be one of the best buffet style breakfasts that we had been to in quite a few years. The selection of fresh fruits, breads and a huge variety of breakfast options, from fried rice to eggs and potatoes to bacon and ham to oatmeal and a wide variety of coffee and juice options. The staff was very attentive and quickly cleaned up our used plates and, again, I had a hotel employee help me carry something else I was having trouble with, an overfilled coffee cup. This steady handed gentlemen saw my dilemma and without hesitation rushed over to help me get the overflowing coffee cup safely to my table with minimal spilling. The pool area was beautiful, to say the least. It was very clean and the staff, as we come to expect based on our experiences with the rest of the hotel, was very attentive and friendly. The bathrooms were very clean and the wall/waterfalls were picturesque while providing a relaxing running/falling water sound. There were always plenty of towels and places available to set up at the pool, and while we only had two drinks while we were at the pool, those were prepared quickly and delivered, again, with very friendly and smiling faces. We at one point asked about how to mail a post card and the gentleman that was at the concierge desk to help us out was almost lacing up his running shoes to go get the stamp when we said we just needed direction, but that is our basic experience at this hotel. The staff was great, the hotel was beautiful and clean, the food at the restaurant was amazing. Did a 2 nights stay for our family of 4. We booked 2 rooms (Grand deluxe) to accommodate the group size. Although we had reached out ahead of time to request the rooms be connecting (at best) or close to each other, we only found out at check-in time that the rooms were assigned to be on different floors. We ended up paying an upgrade in cash for both rooms to be upgraded to 1 bedroom (apartment-hotel?) that were side by side on the same floor. The 1 bedroom came with a living room and micro-kitchen. I found it very comfortable and appreciated the extra space as we could have breakfast (that we bought from the nearby Starbucks in Chatrium Residences) in the living room area. We had lunch twice in the hotel's restaurant on the ground floor. Food for the kids was decent and service was quick. Interestingly, the hotel is next to an international school so there were quite a few school kids grabbing a bite in the afternoon. Definitely check out the pool, it has gorgeous views of the sunset over the Chao Praya river. The hotel provides a riverboat shuttle service to Icon Siam though it only stops there on particular timings of the day. Highly recc this hotel if you're looking for a place to stay near Chao Praya River.
