Hamburg hotels & accommodations

Selected this hotel on-line and a first-time visitor to Hamburg. Location is just a short ten minute or so walk from the central train station, so no need for taxi expenses. The check-in desk were v efficient and had all my details to hand so was in my room in no time at all. The bedroom was just as seen in the pics, minimal, stylish and a great modern shower room. I...

The hotel in Hamburg was simply chosen for its proximity to the Eurolines Bus station. It was a short walk to and from here. The metro lines were also here, so it was easy to travel round the whole of the city with ease. The rooms were of suitable size, the showers were effective and there was not too much noise from the street outside.

I chose this hotel for its location in the city center of hamburg. It didnt disappoint here. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. Fitness center and spa were nice even though the pool was not made for serious swimming. The breakfast was rich and choices were plenty. I found the price of 29 EUR for one person for the breakfast buffet a little too high by Ge...

Well If you want to save on your stay in Hamburg, this is your choice. For the cheap price you will get a tiny room and a decent breakfast. Thats all. But if you step out of the hotel in ANYTIME of the day, you will be met by a bunch of hookers standing around like soldiers on duty. So if you travel with kids dont stay there.

Pleasantly surprised. Great location, very close to U and S train stations. Good breakfast. Excellent service. Decent rooms for a very reasonable price. Would absolutely stay here again. Was cheaper and better than our usual hotel in Hamburg. Guess we'll stay here now everytime we are in Hamburg

As said in the title, the hostel was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the hostel's location ist extremely central - right in front of the main station (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof). Even though we booked a twin room, we got upgraded to a 4-bed room (maybe just bc the rooms were free and/or our still occupied?) and also got two towels after asking, which ...

Stayed in hostel. Clean and comfotable bed, towels provides for. Common area with television amd vending machine. No kitchen. Less than 5 mins walk to subway station and supermarket. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. About 20-30 mins walk to attractions. In the middle of the the red light district (strip clubs, erotic toy shops etc) but did not feel unsafe. Accom is ...

They did not have my booking when arrived .It took them 35 mins to sort out a room for me which was very worrying. The hotel is good value clean and secure. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Don't worry about the street outside as mentioned in other reviews it's just like any other centre near a train station.Would stay here anytime in the future.Best value in Hamburg...

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of all the major areas of the city, and is also a quick cab ride from the airport. The facilities are very nice and while the gym is not large, it is still possible to get good exercise there. The rooms are well-designed with a nice apartment feel and even include kitchens for those who want to prepare their own food. T...

Typical comfortable NH-quality. Very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, quiet rooms although in good central location. Hotel is in close distance to the Altona Trainstation. The perfect place to stay if Hamburg Downtown is not really required. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Hamburg.

Hotel was wery nice...The crew was nice,helpfull..Hotel was on perfect location from the highway, city center and others facilities...Wery clean,,comfortable,,My children loved it,,me to...We ghot wery much for the money...I will recomend the hotel too others..Me and my kids enjoyd staz at the hotel,,and we will come back next time we are in Hamburg...

All facilities at the A and O hotel were of a standard expected of a budget hotel. The hotel was easy to find using the subway, being only 3 stops from the main station. Good supermarkets very close to the hotel and breakfast was basic but filling. I would certainly recommend the hotel for a short visit to Hamburg for sightseeing with older children or friends.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Hamburg is superbly located close to the city centre as well as all major attractions in Hamburg. The friendly staff as well as the great service and excellent breakfast made our stay one of the best we ever had in a German city. We will be back again soon ...

I personally really love this hotel and if we have chance to come to hamburg, we will visit this hotel again. The location was very nice as locate in the city centre and infront of the central station yet not so noisy. The breakfast was acceptable and the room for 3 was big enough and sofa was cosy to relax.the workers were very kind.Get sun from windows feels so good.

we are satisfied stay in hotel nearest in station nearest with central station next to 5 mints hotel staff is very good cleanes is good but problem is guest kitchen not working no problem next time I vist to Hamburg I think so it's working room rate is good every year me and my family stay in A&o . now a day's we are stay in A&O Amsterdam this property location is ve...

The very central location makes it so ideal to travel from place to place. For example, the Staatsoper Hamburg is only 10 minutes away using public transportation and a lot of the sites are only a walk away. My only complaint about the hotel is that the internet was really slow and tended to fluctuate. It was understandable because the hotel was located in one of the b...

Very nice place situated near several offices, easy to access, nice and friendly staff 10 min drive from airport and easily accessible to other central areas of Hamburg by bus or train Good food (though a veggie myself) with several cuisines to choose from!! Overall, good value for money!!

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. It is about a 15 minutes walk to the nearest U-Bahn (Horner Rennbahn) which is where a bakery, a convenience store, a supermarket, a deli, a drugstore and other shops are located. Alternatively, you can take bus 23 in either direction to the U-Bahn, which is either 1 stop (to Horner Rennbahn) or 3 stops away (to Wandsb...

just remember to check the booking confirmation about the city tax, do not pay double when you check in. sheets €3, luggage storage €3, no free breakfast, credit card payment needs to pay extra. location is just opposite of the metro and quiet because far from city centre. kitchen is good though.

This place was the cheapest place for us to stay in Hamburg so we booked with low expectations. The room we got was small but came with a shower and a sink. The beds were overall clean however some ants were crawling around the room. Wifi is free along with breakfast. The TV in our room didn't work but we didn't really care. A subway station is only 2 minutes away...

If simple, well-appointed comforts in a small single room is your thing, then the Terminus am Hauptbahnhof Hotel in Hamburg may be just the place for you. The hotel had a make-over recently so everything is “spick and span”. The hotel is most conveniently located only 100 metres from the main railway station. Because of the location, the condition of the hotel and t...

Right in the center of a thriving, vibrant neighborhood. good rooms, good beds, good breakfast, helpful staff: what more could you want? The only downside is that it is far from the usual "center" of Hamburg and is more convenient by car than by public transport. But we were driving through so it was fine.

This hotel is perfect for families and gives good value for the money. It is easy to find from the motor way but a bit far from the airport. Room was large and comfortable, a small kitchen which fulfilled the purpose. Kitchenware was not included but could be rented from reception in different sizes. Parking available and not too expensive. A perfect hotel for a f...

I enjoyed my stay here primarily because the owners are very nice people. I was made to feel very welcome and given a quite thorough introduction to Hamburg and the local food and travel options. The hotel was decent value. It is located very near the main train station, which was the reason I selected it. The location itself is a bit of a redlight district, but didn't feel unsafe, so everything was good. Cleaner staffs are impolite. They entered the room without knocking the door when i was sleeping at 10am. Then they clearly showed their "dissatisfaction" when seeing the bathroom floor was wet and started grumbling in local language. Warm/hot water is on and off now and then. I was keen on taking a shower late at night after a raining day, but could not do it because ...

Very nice modern hotel, with rooms with huge tvs, big windows and nice atmosphere. Very beautiful downstairs, with candlelights on in the evening, perfect for having a cocktail! Walking distance to downtown, many cafes and restaurants in the area (st. georg) i would definitely go there again. Very nice breakfast too, and a nice closed garden nice in the summer.

Rooms are small and other than being close to the Hamburg Messe, there's no reason to be in this part of town. Food is not great at hotel but there are quite a few other options further down the block. No bath tub, apparently all rooms only equipped with showers. Despite being a new hotel, the walls are so thin you could hear the guest snoring next door.

A very good business hotel located almost in center of city-10 minutes to anywhere important by cab-less than cost by cab to most locations Have an excellent breakfast.staff is friendly.free usage of Internet and printer at the lobby is helpful and a good advantage for the hotel overall a hotel I would recommend to a business or tourist visit to Hamburg

I am travel around of Europe. This hotel has great facilities and friendly staff. Even it is quiet far from Hamburg Center (11km) but it takes only 10min to drive. For Muslim travellers. There is a lot of halal restaurant at Hamburg Central Mosque. Try Lades Restaurant

We are very satisfied about our stay in the Dorint. The hotel was very clean, the staff extremely attentive and nice. Rooms as well as the fitness area were quite modern and we fell very well there. Also the way to the tram for going Downtown Hamburg was not too far away and was reached within a nice about 15 minute walk. We can only recommend this hotel as price and ...

We travel to Copenhagen and we decided to stop in this hotel. This was not our first visit of Hotel Bottcherhof.Last summer we stay some days in the hotel and we felt very good. This was the reason that we came again this year.I warmely recomend to visit Hamburg musicals with package of Hotel Bottcherhof.

Hotel seems to have improved a bit from its Novotel days. Still feel it is expensive for its location and pretty basic facilities...but it works well for my needs as it is very close to where my relatives live (who I visit when I go to Hamburg). Tends to get noisy in hotel corridors when a sports event is there in Volkspark (lots of young people in hotel who tend to ma...

We booked the room one day before arrival. We just stay there for one night. Price was close to 186 euro per night, maybe because late booking. We wanted central location, and everything else was fully booked, so we choose Madison hotel. Everything looks quite nice. However you have to pay for parking the car in the garage under hotel. When staying in the hotel, ...

this hotel is close to the airport but if you were travelling to Hamburg via trains then this place can be far. Nevertheless, it is a brand new hotel and i have no complaints if you were just looking for a place to sleep peacefully at night. The hotel is connected by S-Bhan but the walk to the station from the hotel takes 20min.

I was in Hamburg for SMM which located at Hamburg Messe, so indeed a good location which near the exhibition is definitely important, this hotel offers free shuttle bus to SMM every hour which is really convenient, even if you miss the bus, it's about 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by taxi. room is a bit small, other than that the rest are ok.

My stay at the George Hotel was very enjoyable. The friendly staff were always helpful. The bar is very well presented and often provided a lively atmosphere in the evenings without being overbearing, the bar staff were always friendly and willing to offer drinks recommendations (they have an extensive array of spirits - I found a new favourite gin -Tanqueray Bloomsbur...

Pretty close to the center of town but not right in the middle. Rooms were clean and modern but the hallways kind of basic. The staff was fantastic! Extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely go back to this hotel if I'm ever back in Hamburg.

I have stayed here a couple of times for the purpous of enjoy Hamburg. Especally for Christmas market in December, this is the best choice. Very friendly staff, nice bar and very good breakfast facilities. Walking distance to the shopping area and to a lot of restaurants. Parking the car in the garage downstairs, but it's sometimes tricky to find the way there....

Nice hotel - but a staff that doesn’t have any idea on how to check in. I used over 10 minutes to check in, and I was told that they stay wasn’t paid for - despite that I have booked and paid through the Agoda app. Anyways - we had a lovely room - and a lovely breakfast.

Our stay in the Renaissance Hamburg was OK. The hotel is honestly fine. It's not 5-star by any stretch of the imagination, in any city or situation. Even the hotel exterior has the rating down as 4-star, as far as I recall. Regardless, set your expectations for a 4-star experience. Staff and public areas are fine. Location of the hotel is tough to beat, very clos...

My review is AFTER the renovations were completed: An amazing classy hotel in Hamburg with top services, world class spa(sauna + pool are free for guests), free high-speed WIFI, free mineral water, daily turndown services, great buffet breakfast and piano bar! Hotel was beautiful, at a great locations with many quaint retail and F&B outlets within walking distance. View or the river was fantastic. The cafe and grill were superb. Nikkei Nine highly overated. Service was inconsistent - impeccable with some and slightly snooty and not bothered with some. My spa booking which i made months in advance was confirmed yet upon ar...

it's amazing ever i have been this city. i like that river and store aroung it. many people i met are kind and willing to help me.
Very pleasantly surprised by Hamburg, having been put off by seedy image of Reeperbahn red light area.
Hamburg is a city where shipping business is. It has a lot of good restaurants as well as good fun for nightlife if you like.
We enjoyed the city during the daytime plenty of sightseeing etc. The only issue was finding places to eat in the city centre it seem to close down at night.
is a well mix area with different culture. the most issue needs to be concerned is some people who force you to buy the rose.
If you have limited time , 1-2 days. Suggest Hop-on Hop-off for city tour. Wonderful! Easy and save time
it is a very claen city, will be more attractive when hafen city is completed... a city in bloom for tourists.
Besides all traditional tourist spots have we been to several nice jazz clubs. Winter markt at several places in December is nice.
Hamburg is a city with different attractions, easy transportation access, be it by flight, by train, by bus and other modes of transport.
Hamburg is one of the most classics and beautiful cities in the world, every one has to see this city at least once.
Lots of arcades, shopping streets etc strewn across the city. Lots of interesting sites around the old center - churches etc.
I stayed in Hamburg for 2.5 nights by train from Velbert after trade show. I hopped on one of those bus tour at Central Train Station to know better the area then you can take off wherever you want and hop on the next bus for next attraction.
Hamburg is a city-state. It values its status as a city, being as independent as possible of other states that have existed or currently exist in Germany.
There is a big garden that visitor could take a rest and enjoy it. You may also find some nice houses built.
