"We followed the guidebooks for a day. Went to fort Kochi and visited the most highly recommended restaurant there. Many tourist and food was ok. The next day, we asked the hotel staff where did the local ate. They recommended the ambiswamy restaurant near the hotel. Not all ambiswamy restaurants are the same. This one was excellent, the best Indian vegetarian meal I had but the place was more like a canteen with no air con, which I didn't mind given the quality of the food. Decided to avoid the tourist places and found paragon restaurant inside Lulu mall. Not a tourist inside. The best fish meal. Very spicy. Came back twice. If you are looking for amazing authentic Indian food, go to the local restaurants. For those who can understand, this has the same sophisticated flavor as the hole in the wall mutton restaurant in old Delhi. "

"We stayed at this hotel during our visit to cochin. Im fully amazed by the level of expertise the hotel staffs had. To be frank, the overall look of the hotel is luxurious. We stayed at a deluxe bedded room on which im surprise it has a very huge bed. The room is exceptionally big. The best of all, is their lounge. They have a fantastic dine in with wide variety of breakfast selections. The best part is they labelled each of the meal with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food clearly, which helps us alot! In room dining was served very fast (roughly within 20min). Overall, it is a pleasant stay at Holiday inn kochi. Would definitely stay in there again on my subsequent visit.
