The best part of Aryaduta Medan Hotel is the facilities and accomodation provided.I never expect that this hotel has a beautiful swimming pool in the 3rd floor 1st of all. Plus when i when step in into the room i felt so peace and harmony. Almost all the food are delicious and hygine...As a new couple we prefer to discover the town by using the trishaw or something look like motorbike (forget what they call in Indonesia)the person name is our tour guide(ride the said vehicle) we had a lot of activities with him. That is something unforgettable for us. Thank you Aryadutaaaa

Valued hotel in Medan which is surrounded by pedestrian places, such as: Merdeka walk, railway station, bookstore, and mall. To reach all pedestrian places in Medan, you can walk, taxi, public transportation or even with pedicab. This hotel also has subscribed pedicabs so you can order at the front desk and then enjoy the Medan atmosphere with a unique pedicab. Bookstore available at the 2nd floor. To go to airport there are 2 ways: by rental car and railink service. I thought the second one is a cozy and faster way to go to airport. You only have to go to railink station by pedicab or taxi. Outbound time from station to airport only 40 mins, instead using roadway is almost 2 hours.

Arrive in Medan in Morning i was seen that the city was clean (compare to the other big cities in Indonesia). JW Marriot hotel was one of taller building in Medan with modern style. However, the security of this hotel was tight and as a guest i can understand that the hotel would like to guarantee the security of their guess. The lobby was designed with moden interior design. Although weather in medan consider as hot, stay in the lobby of hotel was nice with cooler temperature. I really liked the room, I thought it reached the 5star level in decor and quality. I liked the room service Pizza, and I loved the buffet Breakfast. The staff in the restairant also very generous and helpfull sepcially for our kids. They didnt have some things on the room service menu, but they had just opened, so i give them a break. The front desk staff were efficient and very nice...I felt the 5star welcome, that I have felt at other established 5 star hotels. For the $ it is a great deal, in my opinion, I travel thru Medan on occasion, and I will spend my night or 2 there every time. Got to pay for high speed Wifi, but it wasnt much, and If you need to download something, it is very fast. In the end, its really a pleasure to stay in this Hotel...very recommended to those who to stay in medan for any kinds of trips.

I had a lovely stay in this hotel with good price (Comes with Breakfast), strategic location (inside the city centre with walking distance to alot main attractions in Medan). Hotel do provides the return airport transfer (Complimentary) from/to the hotel. Hotel breakfast is acceptable and the restaurant is clean. I would definitely come back again for my next visit to MEDAN! Cheers.

Karibia Boutique hotel is new, with another wing still actually undergoing renovations. Rooms are clean, so are sheets and bathroom. All basic necessities like shampoo and soap are provided for, with flat screen TV in the room, electric kettle, but lacking a refrigerator. Aircon is strong and cold, room is relatively spacious even with a king/queen size bed in the middle. The hotel has an in-house spa which you can relax at, though prices, as usual, are higher than what you can find elsewhere. There is also a gym which is relatively big with numerous freeweights, strength machines and threadmill. The only issues I had was with the shower. I find that the water current coming out of the shower appears to be relatively weak, but not as weak as though it reduces to a trickle, but still hampers the feeling of a good shower after a long day. Also, I got a room with a window but no view. Basically my view out of the window was a wall that was meters away, with no sunlight. So as good as no window. However, if you wish, you could request for other rooms that has a view of the city The hotel is just a 2min walk to the biggest and newest mall in Medan, which is the Centre Point. Brand new mega big shopping center with most shops already opened for business. Hypermarket (Lotte Mart) is also there to ensure you get everything you need there. Also near is the Medan Train Station. Basically Center Point shopping centre is sandwiched between the Hotel itself, and the Medan Train Station. How convenient! Well the hotel provides a free shuttle service to being you to the train station anyway! Getting there: When you arrive at Kuala Namu International, you will have to take the Airport Train right at the opposite building when you exit the Airport Terminal. Train ticket is priced at about IDR50,000 to IDR80,000 (about 4USD to 6USD) gets you to Medan Train station in about 45 - 50mins. Train runs about every hour. Having been warned about the quality of budget hotels in Medan, this one was fantastic for the price. However, the Internet was out for a day (frustrating as wifi in restos and coffee shops seems largely unheard of in Medan or the area around the hotel) and apparently it had been out for awhile a few weeks back but was fixed. They said it was a problem in the area but maybe it was an issue that was hotel specific. The only drawback is the location is not by food. Merdeka Walk is easily reachable on foot (mind the open sewers!) or Becak and there is a KFC and some other restaurants on the next parallel street. Otherwise, the food in the cafe was just fine albeit the service was "relaxed" as one gets used to in Indonesia. Note: A friend in Medan warned me that when he was in high school, this hotel had a not so good reputation as it was where his classmates would bring "lady" friends so to speak as the location was discrete. However, I never saw anything unusually and I think they have since cleaned the place up or don't allow those sort of activities any more...

Stayed here for 1x night this time as we loved it so much during our previous staY. Check in was efficient and friendly, the hotel itself is new and very grand. One of the best hotels in Medan in my opinion. Room was lovely with a huge bathtub not a tiny single person bathtub. Very big luxurious bathroom with a scale ;) Ful buffet bfast was worth it, it has very wide range of breakfast, from all types of food u can think of for bfast was there. Staff in the restaurant was very friendly and polite. Will definitely go back again, in fact can not wait

not only did i stay at my dream hotel from 11/7/2011 - 11/9/2011, i returned to stay on 11/12/2011 - 11/14/2011. this speaks well for the hotel. there are other hotels in medan to which i have not returned because of the service. all the people at my dream hotel were great, from the front desk personnel, like priscilla and josephene to the driver, eri. the only thing which did not go as well as expected was the wake up call. i asked for a wake up call at 5:00 am. the call came 30 minutes late, at 5:30 am. had i not awakened early, there would have been problems being at the airport in time to take and international flight. other than that, my stay was wonderful. without question, if i have a choice of hotels in medan, my dream hotel will be my choice.

compared to my previous stay in a few other hotels in medan, this hotel is highly recommended if you want rest , relaxation, peace and quiet. my golf trip was very well organized by the hotel staff from transportation to dining. the hotel was also fully equipped with ports and entertainment facilities. i will definitely come back here if i have to travel to medan again.

Sebenarnya saya hanya nginap 1 malam sama anak saya tgl 1 Jan 2019, pulang dari Parapat, karena mengejar pesawat jam 07 pagi e JKT, jadi lebih baik menginap di hotel area bandara KNO. Kondisi kamar, sangat baik, bangunan masih baru, kebersihan kamar mandi OK. and location is perfect for may need that time. Food stores are available nearby the Hotel, within walking distance. Overall, great, I am happy and satisfy for that price, plus a free airport shuttle. If I travel again to Medan in future, for sure I will stay again on this hotel. thank you.

I was in Medan 2 weeks ago and stayed at Swiss-Belinn Gajah Mada and it was awesome. We arrive early morning and do not have any plan. So we went for our breakfast at Garuda Restaurant and then straight to check in but we notice the time is too early and i am afraid if the room is not ready yet because the check-in time is 3pm but now only 12pm. But Angga at the receptionist assist us with a very polite and smile on his face and explained it to me. i book with smoking room but he notice that im with a baby and a kid and i did not notice my booking was with smoking room. Angga has change my booking to non-smoking room. so helpful staff. the room was nice but a bit small because the bed is king size. but we can put our stuff below the table. got small bar fridge and kettle. There is a mart infront of the hotel so that you can buy anything u need. the swimming pool is so nice but we dont have much time to enjoy.

This hotel is located about 15 minutes (walk) away from the Sun Plaza Mall, approx 10 minutes walk away from the Grand Mosque, and ten minutes walk away from two other malls making it central to pretty much everything Medan has to offer tourists. The airport is an hour's drive away. The staff are friendly and helpful, renovations were ongoing whilst we were there. Workmen entered one of our rooms to complete work when we were out - we received no prior notification of this. Free wifi throughout the hotel, on site coffee and food available, air con throughout (except open dining on top floor) and welcome drink in foyer, clean bathroom but tired carpet and air con in room. The promo price we paid is more in line with this hotel than the advertised price. I will NEVER return to Medan again, but would have no issue with recommending this hotel to others.

This is the perfect budget hotel to stay ! After staying here in March 2015 and June/July 2015, it is the best value for money hotel. I did checkout other hotels like Swiss Bell Inn, Alpha Inn and Soechi Hotel, etc. but in value terms, this is the big deal ! The air-con works always, reasonable breakfast and clean rooms with hot water. The only drawback is the poor wi-fi (or non at all) in the bedrooms which is only available in the hotel lobby. However, this is the perennial problem in all budget hotels in Medan which is testament o Indonesia's poor internet network nationwide !

Overall ok, very nice to stay here but we booked airport transfer with this hotel, the taxi belong to the hotel and the driver was not friendly at all. I tried to start a small talk with him but didn't respond. When tried once again with a question instead of answering me, he asked me a question. He should answer me before asking questions. A big size man and very rough in nature but I guess he is not the hotel driver(may be one of the shareholder because a day before i saw him sort of monitoring the hotel and he looked very familiar with the staff) While talking to his phone he scolded the person at the other line. He showed sign for us to unload your luggage ourselves. That was minus incident. The rest I satisfied with the hotel

The hotel is strategically situated in front of a busy road and close to the best shopping mall in Medan, Centre Point as well as 2 doors away from a local supermarket as well as next to a 24 hr store. On a overall basis, the hotel rooms and bathroom attached to each room are clean, well lit and well stocked with shampoo, bathing liquid soap, toothbrush, comb, shower cap, etc. On a slightly negative side, the hotel has only a single elevator or lift. So if that lift breaks down, you can imagine the problem going up to your room. .
