"This spot was a great spot to stay in - the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the breakfast had a variety of options which was nice. Could probably have added more fruit/ fresh veggies to the buffet. The onsen within the hotel is quite big and there’s an indoor and outdoor section. A nice option to unwind with before bed at night. Would recommend hiring a car if you want to visit the Nyuto Onsens, as Tazawako is quite hard to get around if just relying on the free hotel shuttle and public bus. Overall would definitely stay again!"

"A very homely feel place, 1st-time self-drive at japan for us. So we always book a hotel via Agoda last minute late at night. Upon arrival, a very quiet cold atmosphere turned into jazz music evening lounge at the ground level of the cafe which was very soothing for us as a late-night traveler. The host invited and cook some home cook meals and share with us together with their friends and of course together with the famous jazz musician. Homely feel but shared toilet facilities which we are not really used to. "

The staff had very little English, but their service and effort was 100%. The restaurant serves delicious food and a good selection of craft beers. The Onsen itself is amazing and the view of the mountains from our room was spectacular."
