Sendai hotels & accommodations

I was again impressed with the Hotel Management and Staff at the Front Desk, I was traveling away for a night but returning to Washington Hotel in Sendai. The staff made it easy and stored my extra luggage for free which made it real easy for me to get around. The rooms are clean, the bathroom really nice with a lot of space. It is steps away from everything you might ...

This was the perfect hotel for my first trip to Sendai. It is located within Sendai Station - very convenient: shops and food choices abound! The staff members were accommodating, even before I arrived. They replied to every inquiry I had via email, and received important parcels on my behalf, which I claimed upon arrival. When I got injured during my outing, they were...

This place is truly a hidden gem in Sendai. It doesn't have a fancy facade or anything you might even miss it if you walk past it. Its a no frills type of hotel, yet has everything and more for a comfortable stay. Not only its very close proximity to the main Sendai station, but its wonderfully relaxing public bath and delicious fresh and hot Japanese breakfast are ...

Very central location, near to Sendai Station and the big malls surrounding it. It had old-timey European decor which was well-maintained and made for a fun experience. The room was quite big by Japan's standards and bright, clean and airy with a beautiful bathroom. There was an onsen on the top floor which boasted iron-rich waters and a view, but it was perhaps a bit...

I like Hotel Monte Hermana Sendai because of its location is really close to Sendai station, only 3-5 mins walks. Hotel is petty new compare to other hotel in Sendai. It is close to the shopping streets, and it is right located in the center of Sendai Shopping area. I will stay again if I come to visit next time.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and was so happy with my decision. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, just across the street from Sendai station. There's a mini-mart downstairs and you have plenty of choices of restaurants around and inside the train stations. A plus side for those travelling with kid is that it's not far from Anpanman Museum! Th...

Stayed one night on a last minute booking that was necessary because another hotel had to cancel on us. We were happy to be able to get a room. The hotel is good quality. Room was small but that is to be expected in Japan. Staff was great. Location, adjacent to the JR station, makes it easy to explore Sendai or go on excursions. We have no complaints...a solid choice ...

If you are looking for a modern, clean capsule hotel with great amenities, i highly recommend any of the 9h hotels. They all come with the best facilities including shower, lockers and of course the famous Toto toilets. Capsule size is quite large, definitely no issues with it at all, however only comes with one power port which can be challenging. Location is great...

Many Dormy Inn hotels in Sendai city. Unfortunately, I booked the wrong one. I needed to take JR from Sendi city and then walked 20 mins to the hotel. If you don't have a car, it's very inconvenient. Other things are great. Brand new facilities, nice staff, and complimentary mid night snack. It's a great places to take a rest and enjoy hot springs.

I love Sendai. Not many tourist sites but good for day trips. The city itself is pretty, clean, has wide streets and has no sky scrapers so it feels very open. The hotel is smart and efficient with good amenities and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

This is a good choice. If you arrive by train and have cases take a taxi from Sendai station it is a bit of a walk if you are wheeling cases. Once in situ the location and facilities are good. Breakfast is a buffet with good Japanese selection also western but limited. In the immediate area lots of small local restaurants to choose from

I was traveling from northern Japan to Tokyo and made the stop in Sendai to rest and find a good meal. The Royal Park was FANTASTIC! The value and experience exceeded the very affordable price!! It's a very convenient location and has parking. I am American and do not speak Japanese, but they had staff who spoke English which was very helpful. I had a wonderful ni...

Booked one night here and it was perfect. From Sendai Station to Hotel Premium Green Hills, it was about 10 minutes walking distance. I walked through Cris Road where you could get almost everything. The staffs were helpful and patient. The room was small which is normal in Japan and it's enough for single traveler. There is a Matsuya restaurant close to the hotel and...

The hotel room was bigger than I expected. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. When I booked the room, it said it wouldn't have a shower. But when I got there, there was a shower, bathtub, and a bathroom. Very happy with that. Will book again if I visit Sendai again.

I stayed at Value The Hotel Sendai Natori for lack of other choices, but there's nothing to complain about. It's a very decent place for travelers on a budget, even with the lack of public transportation except taxis. My room was quite large for a Japanese hotel, exceedingly neat and with good lighting. Surprisingly, the toilet seat wasn't the customary washlet, just a...

The rooms are fine according to Japanese standards. During our stay, we had a problem with the toilet, and the staff was very nice and upgraded our room to a deluxe room. The only drawback about this hotel is in my opinion the breakfast, which was not as good at the other hotel that we have been to. For a westerner, the choice of food for the breakfast may not be very...

I stayed in a discounted "Double King" room and loved it. The hotel room was very clean, and had modern-looking, stylish and comfortable linens. There was parking available in the hotel but at an additional fee of ~1100 yen for the night. I'm not sure what the rates are for a longer stay. However, this rate is consistent with the rates offered by the private parking...

For those worried about walking distance to JR Sendai, as I was when I booked this hotel, I did it in 7 minutes at my usual brisk clip, door to door. You may get held up at one pedestrian crossing for what seems like an eternity. On the other hand, there are walkways that mitigate against that risk. I doubt you will find a better, closer hotel than this one. For some ...

This was my second time staying at this guesthouse and honestly, Masaki and Keiko are a large reason I stopped in Sendai at all. They took such good care of me last time and they did the same for me and my mom this time. It's a comfortable place to rest, a family if you want to hang out and chat before bed, and full of local wisdom if you want recommendations of how to...

I stayed for three nights and each day the staff would clean up my room with all things replenished. the free breakfast, though basic is never running out of supply. The hotel further has a big bath and sauna room for men and the same to female occupants. The WiFi, though only available at the lobby, desk top computers are provided in the vicinity. The hotel is about 10...

Stayed here for 3 days as a solo traveller, and every basic thing you need for the stay is all here. Even a "Handy" phone is included, which you can bring when outside, totally a surprise for me. Haven't tried their breakfast, like most budget hotels, i guess its pretty much ok to good rating. Their hotel staff in reception, one of them can understand & speak english...

The room area is small, but this is true for most Japanese business hotels, for a solo traveller, the area is enough. The hotel was opened in 2019 and is brand new, the rooms have smoke detectors so the 'usual' problem in Japan of booking a non-smoking room and entering a stinky smoking room won't happen here. There is a semi direct entrance from the sendai station, do...

The hotel is super close to the station and shopping malls in Sendai. The room was bigger than I thought. The bathroom is a good size by Japanese standards. The bed was comfortable, but quite small even for a semi-double. The room feels like it's getting old, but is in pretty good condition.

The hotel is about a leisure 15/20 mins walk from JR station. I didn’t mind that at all. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and convenience stores near hotel and on the way from / to station. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Air con and WiFi both working well, staff super friendly. Tea and kettle on the room. Coffee available from the lobby at 24 hr coffee station. Option...

Location is good everything is close from there; Sendai station is only 4 blocks or around 750¥ by taxi if you have luggage. Cons: the bathroom is small, and I agree with some reviews, it sometimes have like a humidity smell. But if you don't mind and only will stay for relaxing and sleeping; it's good hotel.

It was an enjoyable experience stay in this capsule hotel. The hotel is located in the shopping area and about 10 minute walk to JR station. It is quiet in the capsule and I had a good sleep every night. This is the best capsule hotel i’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend ~

The hotel is located far from any subway station or Sendai train station, and it is on the wrong (E) side of the station as most of the tourist spots are on the opposite (W) side. However, the neighborhood is quiet, with a supermarket and a restaurant just behind it. The room and bathroom are clean and tidy as usual. Staff is friendly and polite.

It is a pretty cool hotel, where you get the traditional vibe of japanese room, but also got the quality of a hotel. they have a small sharing onsen too, which is nice, but could be pretty crowded. The room is clean and near a train station (1 station away from sendai station). I would say I love the stay, and would totally recommend it.

The hotel is in the middle of Kokobuncho Entertainment District, so maybe not so good for tourist families. The staff at the front desk, did not speak much English so I don't think many Foreigners stay here. The room standard was good, as always in Japan, plus laundry facilities on site are very handy.

It is a bit distant from Sendai downtown, but shopping centers and good restaurant are in walking distance. This was my second stay and generally I am quite cotent with this hotel. They let me check-in early and they speak good English. However, breakfast was not quite satisfying as compared to my first visit. There was no fruit at all. Overall, I would definitely sta...

This is the 2nd time I travel to "Sakunami Onsen Yuzukushi Salon Ichinobo", luckily for this time I got a good deal off Agoda website for around 15,000 yen a night, where usually it can cost up to 30,000 yen a night. The onsen here is as amazing as usual, so many theme onsen to relax in and the food was spectacular. The room was big and clean, the facility and the rec...

This was a really easy city and region to navigate, full of interesting and beautiful sights. We had some great meals, and generally a really enjoyable stay in Sendai.
Sendai station is centrally connected all that facilities in Sendai, going further the country side is beautiful & experience differently, relax, greatly helpful people.
I am partial to Sendai, since I was born there. The area around Sendai station has plenty of restaurants, shopping, and accommodations.
I fell in love with the laid back atmosphere of Sendai, the abundance of trees, the view of the Hirose & Nanakita River, the multiple choices of food at Sendai Station and the history.
Easy city to walk around, sidewalks well maintained, clean no garbage. Around the train station is excellent for shopping & restaurants.
If you love beef tongue, then this is your place! Found the shopping districts diverse and enjoyable.
Sendai was very easy to get around. Shopping was fabulous. Large department stores and a mile long covered mall.
Sendai is the largest city in the Tohoku region and well worth a visit. It's a great way to experience the Tohoku region year-round.
I visited Sendai for the Tanabata Matsuri, and was completely captivated. The decorations are gorgeous, and walking through the covered shopping streets with streamers hanging down like an upside-down, enchanted forest of fluttering, colorful ribbons is quite the experience.
A nice city but not too big, having a serene river and hills around. In the central area, you would also experience the vigor of a city.
Sendai is, justifiably, proud of its grilled beef-tongue (gyu-tan) dining. Go for it. This stuff is great.
We used Sendai as our "base" for exploring Omoshiroyama-kogen (day trip) and Matsushima (another day trip).
Sendai is happening place. Food stores are still open till quite late. Sendai specialty is a must to try such as beef tongue and Sendai beef.
Big City. Convenient to travel and go sightseeing. There are many interested places to visit such as Sendai Castle, Sendai Museum, and etc.
Take the sightseeing ferry boat to Matsushima through the islands, interesting places to see. Visit Yamadera (1000 steps temple) up in the mountains - a spectacular view no matter what season! Obviously, Autumn would give the colour, but Winter is interesting too!
