"It was my first time to stay at CitizenM. Location is convenient that it was closed to a huge shopping mall (about 5 mins walk). Suitable for business traveller and people who would like to explore the Hongqiao dist. as it’s closed to National Convention Centre and Hongqiao airport. A young and energetic hotel that brighten our trip in Shanghai. The room surprised me as it was very smart that I could customise lights, AC, blinds, media via an iPad. In addition, I liked how the bathroom used aircraft-like materials and looked very refreshing. We had a lot of fun staying at citizenM with its facilities and its artistic interior design and ornaments. The breakfast was also delicious and my friends and I loved it! Would recommend it to friends and family. "

"Just a very nice experience. I've stayed in several hotels in Shanghai, this was the nicest in terms of value and quality. My only complaint was that they were remodeling the exterior of the building, and they started early in the morning on some days. But I recommend this hotel to anyone in the Jing An area. Very nice."

"This 12-to-20th floor hotel is located in a major posh shopping district of Shanghai and there is a metro station just across the street. The amenities are limited for a five-star rated hotel, but the facilities offered are tasteful and top-notch. Our room had a spectacular view overlooking the magnificent Jing-An Temple and beyond. Shopping and food in the area is more than plentiful. The building also hosts a famous spa just below the hotel. The breakfast offering was smaller than expected but still sufficient for both local and western taste buds. The emphasis is on quality rather than quantity. The only minor complaint was the lack of a bathtub. By the way, service is always pleasant and splendid for Chinese-speakers/ nationalists. It seems that most complaints about bad service in China on Agoda are from non-Chinese speakers. Well, conversely... I almost never see any other country catering to non-English/local languages. Well, you know what they say… “When in Rome… ”"

"Basic and near to airport ( 15 to 20 minutes ) driving distance. Hotel provides free shuttle service from 5am till 12pm. Every hour has a route from hotel to Pudong airport. Few similar hotels at that area but this is the best as the convenient shop just right beside and there are few restaurants/shop lots behind. Confirmed with front desk if you need a ride to airport and receptionist will ring you for morning call half an hour before the ride. * receptionists don't really speak English..only Chinese so be prepared if you are not able to speak English"

"it's our first night in Shanghai and we want a hotel near the airport. we thought that this hotel is near the hotel, but when we take metered taxi, it caused 150 yuan. although the hotel has it own free shuttle but it has schedule, i think the last trip would be 10 in the evening and the first trip is 4 in the morning. the room is good and we really love it, they have elevator for those who have heavy luggage and the staff is nice too. it's just that we cannot reach the provided contact no. here. please update. that's all. additional comment, please have at least English subtitle for your facility (sign board) and things inside room (tv remote, aircon remote) for those who can't read chinese."

"The hotel building looks old from the outside but the rooms seems to have been renovated not that long ago and seems new. For the price, I think you will be mostly satisfied with this hotel even though of course there will be better hotels in Shanghai at a higher price. The staff are polite and efficient even though communications in English may be difficult for them but that is a problem you will encounter in many places in Shanghai."

"If you will be taking the free shuttle service, exit at T1 Gate 8 on the 1st floor (or i think Gate 27 for those at T2). There will be no signs to where you should wait but just wait right in front of the exit of Gate 8. The shuttle bus of Shanghai Deco is a LIGHT BLUE mini bus that arrives every 20-30 mins, don’t get on the big buses because those are for other hotels/locations. We found it difficult to figure out where to go because no one speaks and understands english when we asked about the shuttle despite showing them the name of the hotel. Another tip: If you will be going around and need to speak to locals, load a translator on bing.com (google does not load in China). This will save you a lot of time from repeating yourself to locals who don’t understand english. "
