Surakarta hotels & places to stay

Hotel : new hotel,nice interior. Room : big room, clean, bathroom with view. Food : great breakfast ! Lots of varities. Facilities : OK! It has LIBERICA coffee shop in front of the lobby (my suggestion,please add more resto or bar). And a SKY lounge at 30th floor,where you can enjoy city view. Location : Near from Purwosari train station, near from SOLO square mall. It takes 15minutes to the Airport with car.. Staff : Superb !!! Friendly & very helpful. (Many thanks to Mr.Andy&Mrs.Titin-front office, and Mr.Dwi for airport transfer). Definitely will come back for ALILA Solo. Nothing minus for me!!! Best hotel in Solo area... Thank you for your hospitality..

We traveled to Solo baru for cousin's wedding on December, it was held on a convention hall inside a mall. It was surprising to find this hotel that very much near to the Mall, with very reasonable price, so we booked without thinking. We arrived very late because of traffic, but still have our desired room neatly waiting for us. Rooms are clean and neat, every electricity works. Staffs are kind and helpful. Location is perfect! There's Double Decker cafee next to the hotel, but it close on midninght so not noisy at all. Fave Hotel Solo Baru is surrounded by 2 huge mall and other business centre. We stroll around the Malls on the nest day before heading back to hotel for check out. It was only a short visit, but I recommend this hotel when we back to Solo for other trips.

Ibis Surakarta hotel is easy to visited and it's location nearly main road of Surakarta and almost " attcahed " by Novotel Surakarta hotel. It's not Our first visit to Surakarta, last visit in 2002 but we stayed in Jogyakarta. We love sport and match to your hotel fasilities, we swam everymorning and visited gym in the afternoon, but a little unpleasent is 'no roof to go there both ', but nervermind there always umbrella available at your lobby. Overall, we satisfied during stay at Ibis Surakarta hotel and keep in mind to stay again, next time when we come to Surakarta.

My husband and I booked this place for one night since we wanted to treat ourselves to the Royal Heritage Surakarta for the remaining of our holidays in Indonesia before heading home. What a terrible mistake which we will live to regret. We should have stayed at the Aston. The service was attentive and very helpful. The swimming pool was fantastic, but most important of all, the room was clean without fault. Attention had been given to every detail. Breakfast was also an incredible and delicious spread of food. If we ever come again to Solo, here's where we will stay. Great value for money.

The Alana Hotel gave me a great impression from the moment I walked in. Here are the positive aspects of the hotel: - The receptionist was able to speak and listen to me in English - When there was a misunderstanding between Agoda & me, the receptionist was patient and tried to help me as much as possible. In the end, we got a successful outcome - Beautiful and spacious lobby - Everywhere is CLEAN! - The rooms were very spacious, modern & luxurious. Rooms included a sofa, a big shower and the floor was clean - The gym and pool were great! They provided towels for guests who used these facilities - The construction of the hotel itself (the rooms, lobby, etc), was more professional compared to other expensive hotels in Solo. Negative aspects: - The TV was hard to use! You had to point the remote control at a certain area for it to work - The bathroom sink was almost broken - Location quite far from most places (like malls/eating areas) Overall I rate this hotel 9/10. My family and I loved it so much, we decided to always come back to Alana, whenever we visit Solo again!

Juat stay stay there, here’s my opinion on Amaris Sriwedari: Pros: • located in the heart of surakarta, near with many of this cities tourism spot • Bang for the bucks! Considering the locations and what we get (standard room with breakfast) Cons: • There’s a smell of cigarettes in our room, even we were not stay on smoking friendly room • The staff is lil bit slow on their response, I ask them for a door mat for the bathroom (which not provided upon our arrival) took them nearly an hour to accomodate my request. Over all, I recommended this property to everyone who seek a place to stay in surakarta, if you planning to use this property just for good night sleep, i think its worth it.

As a family we have been coming to the Sunan since our son was born four years ago. We have never been disappointed. Staff at the entrance, desk, and rooms were all happy, polite and respectful. Highlights include the three fabulous pools. One for young children, one for non swimmers and older children and one for swimmers. Our favourite is the breakfast which has always has a great choice of Asian and some western foods. Smiling, courteous and friendly staff well organised by Maria and the other senior staff. The room was spacious, impeccably clean and well serviced. We will always stay at the Sunan if we can when we stay in Solo/Surakarta. Steve, Suharni and Mikael.

This Amarelo is cheap compares to the other Hotel in Solo. Like always, Amarelo provides clean and very comfortable room. I like the design and the size of the room. The bed is VERY comfortable. I really like my staying there. Definitely will go back there next time I go to Solo. And oh, the location is a BIG plus ! And I love the Batik store in the front of Hotel. Simply the best

Tune Hotel Solo staffs knows well how to keep their guests happy and enjoyed their stay in Surakarta. They're very passionate and attentive to our concerns. Not to mention very proactive in giving us suggestions on what to visit and do in Solo. The receptionist keep us warm from the moment we step in and out of the hotel. Thus reminds us of our good stay as well in Tune Hotel Hatyai.

Location wise, it is near Tirtonadi Bus Station, therefore many out-of-town buses pass here. It is also near the latest dam that is opened as tourist spot. There's a minimarket right across the hotel too. However, it is rather far -- in case of small city like Solo, I mean -- to a lot of food spots or shopping places. You need to take ojek or taxi to get there. But my room was quite cozy, all facilities worked including hot water. Many TV channels to keep you entertained. Would love it if a hair dryer is provided in the room, though.

I did not expect too much when i book this hotel, but very happy because its more than what i expected. The hotel room is clean and got upgrade into suite room. The location is near station Solo Balapan. I checked in at 2 am by walking from station to hotel. Bathroom is clean and works properly. The linen bit old but clean and smells good. The view from my room also nice. My favorite is the breakfast range. Its complete and all foods taste good and the restaurant also very comfy. Staffs was also helpfull and friendly. Overall highly recommended ❤

this is the best transit hotel that i have stayed at so far. the location is very close to the solo balapan station, which makes it ideal for transit hotel, yet not too close that you would get bothered by the noises from the trains. we were pleasantly surprised, the room, the service and the breakfast quality exceeded our expectation considering the amount of money we paid. the only thing that they could do better is upgrading the bed matrasses, the bed was quite hard. but other than that this is now our first option when transiting in solo.

Sahid Kusuma Hotel in Solo City, Java, is on the whole a very good hotel. This may have something to do with the inborn Javanese attitude of reserved kindness and genuine politeness, but must also be a typical characteristic of the people serving here. The air-conditioned rooms are big and clean and the breakfast and dinners are perfect. Three consecutive evenings the hotel management created a perfect Javanese atmosphere with an 8 people strong gamelan orchestra playing on typically Javanese instruments in the open air.
