Cotai hotels & places to stay

we reach macau after 6 days stay in hong kong and travel to macau for another 3 days holiday. we reach macau ferry terminal and easily we are able to see a lady standing at the exit of the ferry terminal showing "venetian macao resort hotel" and directed us to the free shuttle service. before taking the free shuttle, i had tried to queue up at the macau ferry when i arrived for the purchase of ticket (turbo jet) back to hk, and end up, after half hours, the queue is still non moving. so,i back to the hotel, and through their great concierge service. we are able to book our ferry ticket (cotai jet) back to hk in advance without any hassle. once we reach the hotel, we are welcome and directed to the check in at the south lobby. we are expecting that it will be a slow process or long queue, due to these hotel having 3000 rooms! however, we are surprise of check in within 5 minutes, and was being shown to our hotel room. we are even being offered 2 welcome drink & 1 free 4r photo! our requisition of baby cot & high floor is being meet as well. we shops inside the hotel itself, and we walk till drop coz of the great varieties, though the shops price is a bit higher than outside. we did join the half day tour around macau and at affordable rate at mop98/ppl. its surprised that with mop98/ppl, we are able to see 15 highlight place of macau. a great tour to join! during our check-out, we did keep our luggage at the "baggage center" and when we did a claim at our baggages, the staffs offer to help us "trolley" our baggage to the free shuttle waiting for us to cotai ferry terminal. if i were to come to macau again, i will definitely stay in the venetian macao resort hotel and will recommend my friends to there too... p/s : the next time, i will visit the casino, and i had missed it this time due to time constraint on shopping! :)

All top-notch excellence. It rarely gets better than this–for the price. True 5-star facilities, services and amenities and over-the-top Art Deco decor. This hotel also offers a wide range of entertainment rides, glamorous shows, a state-of-the-art Ferris wheel, an expansive outdoor pool, shopping mall, restaurants, expansive buffet, free shuttle buses, and of course a mammoth casino–all situated on the Cotai Strip. Best of all, compared to the others on the Strip, it’s far less crowded or busy, which some travelers might prefer. This hotel offers a much better package deal than most of its neighboring competition, especially if booked early.

Typical luxury hotel expected of the casino area. The hotel is new, so it's quite refreshing addition to the list of hotels in Cotai. It's clean and refreshing, compared to the other older hotels in the area. However, the non-casino leisure area (shopping, dining, pool, and other indoor hotel attraction) is smaller than I expected. The way the hotel is designed is rectangular and at least half of it is the casino. For non-casino goers, you pretty go through a narrow indoor strip of hallway from one end to the other. Choice of stores are limited as they are all high end unlike the Venetian for example which includes more variety of shops. Food and Dining at the Galaxy, you can choose from high-end to quality casual food court dining, which is good. Families with kids will also appreciate that they have choices like a McDonalds. For families with older kids, the movie theater may be a good draw. The garden and pool in the 2nd floor is actually quite spacious though so it's nice if you like the outdoor ambiance. They also have a wave pool which is unique to them. The garden area on the other hand had some mini activities for smaller kids like toy archery, boating, etc. It's a good place to keep your younger kids busy, if you're bringing them. On the other side of the pool and garden area, you'll find access to the other hotel partners like Banyan Tree (a few high-end villas with their own pool) and Hotel Okura, both more expensive than the Galaxy. What I love most are the free shuttles which run almost every 10-15 minutes and cover most of the popular areas to visit. Aside from the usual airport and ferry terminals, as well as trips to the other Cotai hotels, it offers shuttle to City of Dreams if you want to watch the shows, the Old Taipa Village nearby, and most importantly, the city of Macau via San Ma Lo, which is just few blocks away from Senado Square. Rooms are excellent and spacious. They are clean and beds are quite comfortable.

I’ve been to several hotels in cotai area but this is the best experience ever. The staff who helped us check in (I think her name is fancy) gave us a lot of useful info for our Macau stay, and guided us to the elevator. This may be small for a lot of ppl but first impression with the hotel is in fact very important (especially other hotels didn’t offer this, maybe cos I went to Macau on sat before and they were busy). For the hotel room, it is really spacious and I like how they are now using tablet for controlling lights tv and curtains etc. Bed is comfortable too. One compliment for the housekeeper - she is so considerate that she put an eyeglasses cloth next to my glasses. (This may not be really necessary but I felt I was being looked after). Although it is expensive, this hotel is totally top notch and worth the premium room price. I will most likely stay at Wynn palace again for my next visit to Macau.

this was my first stay at hotel okura macau and i was impressed with every aspect of the stay from the courteous and efficient check-in to check-out. the location is in the heart of the cotai area although i personally still favour the old part of macau over cotai. but for those who want to stay in cotai i'd highly recommend this hotel and if you can a get a special deal it's a bargain so keep an eye out for it.

The value of the hotel is simply great. Not very expensive when compared to other hotel in Cotai Central, and still provide 5-star experience and premium service. The room is spacious and comfortable. The beds are big, clean, and comfortable, and so does the pillows : comfortable and clean. The view from the room is excellent : the skyline of Cotai Central, and in clearer days you could see the sea and see buildings on the Chinese side. The television provides good selection of channels from Western, Japanese, and Chinese television. The room is well-lit and comfortable, air conditioner is available at every room. The bathroom is excellent, with clean bathroom, a shower, and a bathtub. The bathroom is spacious and very comfortable. The location is great, being in Cotai Central. It's very close to City of Dreams, and you could just cross the road for Studio City or The Venetian. The streets are quite empty, but it's well lit so you will have no problem walking around. Should you prefer walking inside malls, Sheraton is well connected (through Sands Central) to other casinos and malls such as The Venetian. The staff speaks good English, and would gladly assist you if you have problems. The casino is quite lively, but not as good as the one they got in Studio City or in The Venetian. Great hotel to stay in Macao.

An ideal place if your on a budget, has a 24 hour convenience store outside the property, restaurants which are not overpriced compared to the other properties in cotai. Has a shuttle that goes to star world hotel to macau district, from there you can walk to senado square. You can also get a free entrance to the galaxy resort for free! I would definetly stay here again if I am in Macau.

Room & Hotel cleanliness: Excellent Service: Excellent, from the check-in to the housekeeping to the plumber technician. Food: We tried the buffet breakfast, there was a wide variety of food with good quality. Location: Located within the City of Dreams shopping mall (in the Cotai area), with a wide choice of restaurants, & a convenience shop located at the basement, near the shuttle bus area, where we bought snacks & bananas for supper. There is free shuttle bus service to MGM, Wynn Palace, Galaxy Resorts, Venetian, Studio City & Sands Cotai Central. If you prefer to walk, the Sands Cotai Central shopping mall is just across the road, though there is no shelter from the rain or sun. From Sands Cotai Central, it is a short & sheltered walk to the Shoppes at Venetian, Shoppes at Parisian, & Shoppes at Four Seasons shopping malls.

Fantastic Stay! Unforgettable Experience! kudos to Jessica Cai who is front dest duty manager,she is friendly and helpful. As I was celebrating my Husband birthday with my family at MGM Cotai, We were offered a free upgrade to a resort suite and the room was spacious. Everything matches up with a five-star hotel expectation. They gave me a very lovely birthday cake and lovely cholocate.The resort room is very big ,the bathroom is great,and the resort great location connecting to the shopping mall and restaurant ! So very convenient,Thank you all for your kindness. I will be definitelly back to your hotel. Finally,There is a staff member at the Tria spa who is impolite and hopes that the hotel will improve next time!

This the 3 rd time I go to macau, previously i stay i Macau and this time i choose in Cotai, i arrive on late evening, the staff give me the perfect service, detail introduction about the hotel facility and so on, from the receptionist told me that had upgraded my the room very big and grand room, i was a supprise, really nice and grand room. Location, perfect location cotai area, nearby with Vannician, City of dream, & four season hotel. THis is the best hotel i ever stay, I will choose this hotel again once i revisit Macau. Thank to staff & management.

I asked for a room without connecting door but they still gave me one. At first i was worried about the noise but it turned out that the room was super quiet. So i like it very much. The only downside is that i cannot find the checkout information anywhere written and had to search the web for it. But by the time i have got the answer i am already wide awake! Another thing with these 5 star hotels is you cannot find any convenient stores anywhere near and ended up we cannot buy bottle water from a 711. But the room in general was great! Very Clean and quiet. They even upgraded us to a pool view. Got a fantastic view of the pool.

Their service stood out the most for me, the friendly, professional, English speaking staff were very courteous and helped me with every thing I needed, when I needed it. The rooms are well worth the price, the environment they offer is a nice change of pace from the more party centric atmosphere right across the street at the Crown or Hard Rock hotel. The location, next to the venitian mall and t galleria, places it within walking distance of anything and everything you would want to do on the Cotai Strip, and it is one of the tallest hotels around the area, allowing for great views. My room was on the topmost floor and I truly enjoyed it. Well worth it, and I will be staying again in the future.

I felt different to stay at this 5 stars hotel no matter the pier to hotel transfer and the services provided, what more I can ask for? The concierge Jason assisted us for the dining reservation in person since there was no one answer the phone at the restaurant, that's really impressive though I know some of the 5 stars hotel will provide this kind of service. We got free upgrade to twin bed room with effiel tower view, spacios room, nice and wide variety of breakfast buffet choice. Though the exterior looks old, it's a really minor matter among all. Definately stay again in next visit.
