The cozy boutique hotel that I would recommend.”

My fiancée and I stayed in de charme hotel for 5 days as our last stop in Thailand. Before that we arraged our accomdation in a few stylish airbnb homes and boutique hotels so we never had too much expectations for this ordinary-looking hotel. However, this has turned out to our favourite stop and best part of the trip. Upon our arrival, my fiancée was having a fever so we wanted an early check-in. They didn't have a room yet but the front desk kindly arranged us to rest in the air-cond library room. They also helped us to call and confirmed our tick

Perfect little place”

De Charme's staff was one of the best I've met in Thailand. They spoke English very well and were extremely helpful. The property itself is very cute and well kept. The location is great, although a little far from the action of the city. About a 20 minute walk from the river. Our room was very clean and nice, although it did smell kind of funky. It's definitely not as nice as the photos make it out to be, but that's to be expected. Breakfast was very limited and not good. I think it's an amazing deal for the price, but plan to buy breakfast elsewhere :)

Good Value - Nice Place. ”

The hotel is located in the old city of Chiang Mai, in the square mile, behind its old walls and moat. Its about 2 miles from the Night Bazaar which is the main hive of activity for night life. There are communal van taxis that can take you there for 30 Baht. Buffet breakfast is included, served outdoors and indoors. The hotel allowed me to change a non-refundable booking which was appreciated. The only negative point was very bad air pollution in the Chiang Mai area at the end of March due to agricultural burning, I wasn't expecting it and this honestly did spoil the trip, but certainly not the fault of the hotel.

Great Location in Old City | Near Many Options”

We were three adults traveling with a 14 year old boy and 10 year old girl. De Charme was located in a super spot within walking distance to great, cheap eats, good massage vendors, shops, etc. The breakfast buffet had an abundance of offerings. Kids enjoyed the pool. Staff was friendly. Taxi's were easy to catch just outside hotel. Be sure to get dinner at the nightly food market located just outside the north gate about a 10 minute walk from hotel. Food at hotel was more expensive than street food but didn't break the bank. The only downside of the property was the WiFi. It was awful but we only used it to check into flights and send a handful of emails, but if you need a strong WiFi, theirs will leave you pulling your hair out. Otherwise, great property and we would stay again!

The room is cozy and tidy. Air conditioner work efficiently and quietly. De Charme Hotel is located nearly the center of the city. So staying here not only be convenient but also very feasible for us to travel wherever we would like to go.

Amazing experience! ”

We had a wonderful time in Chiang Mai and a lot of that was due to the amazing hospitality of this hotel. The staff are incredible - so helpful, kind and accommodating. They organized a free afternoon of making our own krathong (floating flower offerings), it was such a great time and a great way to be involved with the festival. When I come back to Chiang Mai, I would definitely stay here again! :)

Exceptional”

I spent two nights, then extended for two more, I left for four nights and returned for a night which i again extended for two more nights. Great position within the 'old city'. I'm 66 and have a bad knee but i walked from one side of the old city to the other on a number of occasions. Other times i just grabbed a red sangthew and for 40 bahts I could ride anywhere within, or just outside the o.c. The room was large and very comfortable with a great bed. The swimming pool was very good and large enough to swim laps. Breakfast is a very good buffet. They have parking spots available at no charge on a vacant lot opposite the hotel. I would stay again.

Very Nice Location”

The Hotel is Nice, Very Close to the Airport, Sunday Night Market and many eateries to choose from. Our Room is very spacious and clean. Breakfast is good as well. Staff are nice and Helpful. We will definitely stay again whenever we come to Chiang Mai. It was a great experience.

Would be 5stars if not for hard bed and no shower pressure ”

Hotels is very clean and beautiful. Staff was so nice and helpful. Street outside was a bit busy for me but the location was in the old city which I wanted. Breakfast was the same every morning however lots to choose from and enjoyed it. Room was spacious. The bed was so hard but when we couldn’t take it the 2nd night and we complained they immediately understood as we’re sure not the first and delivered up a topper. Bathroom was tiny and shower had no water pressure. Despite all this the staff and cleanliness of this place we would definitely come back again

Excellent hotel”

We were very happy with our visit to De Charme. Very clean, service was great, pool and court yard were lovely. King size bed is always a plus! Only negotiate is the prices of food in their Resturant were high compared to others in the area. But food was good. All inclusive breakfast was a plus!

Good value for money but a few issues with the room”

De Charme was good value for money and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However there were a few issues with the room that you wouldn't get with a more pricey hotel. The air conditioning was not very effective. The shower generally only had cold water (except for a few random occasions) and the shower head could not be adjusted and sprayed directly outwards into the shower curtain (which was not only annoying in terms of its use, but meant water ended up dripping down onto the bathroom floor). The toilet stopped flushing at one stage. Breakfast was fine, but not a huge variety and food seemed to have been left out for a while. There were often ants getting into the fruit! The pool was lovely - from the pictures we expected it to be in shade for most of the day, but in fact it is only shady in the late afternoon. There are not many deck chairs, so on some occasions we could not lie anywhere (and I expect this would be worse in busier times of year).

Great value hotel”

Stayed two nights in the hotel - great position in old city and having previouslyvstayed outside the old city I would definitely return here. Its location provids easy access to rest of CM via 100bht tuk tuk rides or easy stroll with perfect promximity to Sunday markets. Breakfast was sufficient with egg chef although other Western options limited Value for money hotel

Very nice hotel and helpful staff”

The hotel is clean and nice, the swimming pool is great, rooms very confortable, very good breakfast, good location, and the staff very helpful and nice specially in the reception. Todo perfecto, ningún punto negativo. El personal fue muy gentil, especialmente en la recepción, muy atenta y preocupada de saber como nos sentiamos y con sugerencias muy acertadas. Recomendable absolutamente.

Excellent location in the old city. Nice breakfast and a swimming pool to relax after a long day visiting the beautiful Chiang Mai.

A convenient hotel ”

De Charme is located in a convenient spot, within the old city, walkable to many attractions within that area. Hotel is quite small compared to what you see in the pictures and the road entrance where you descend from your vehicle is very uneven with broken drainage cover slabs. Management needs to pay attention to that aspect. Rooms are rather small but have the necessary amenities. We were originally given a room on the fourth floor very close to the water pump. It was very noicey intermittently and were given a alternative room on a lower floor after a sleepless night. However the staff a friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. A decent hotel suitable for a short stay.

Nice quiet part of the old town”

A nice hotel on the edge of the quiet part of old town. All room doors head out to the pool area which is always kept very clean. Lovely reception staff, very helpful all day and all night. Nice breakfast that changed every day (foreign and domestic). Enjoyed out week in Chiang Mai would recommend this place for a relaxing vibe, close to the night market and walking distance to everything else.

Very nice stay at the De Charme Hotel”

We were very happy with our stay at the De Charme Hotel. Close to many sights and easy to get around City. The staff were always very friendly and helpful!

A good find”

After experimenting with a bunch of boutique hotels in the area, this one was pretty decent. The room was in good shape, the place was clean, and it was located within walking distance of the highlights of the old city. As with much of the old city, getting to/from the hotel can be a challenge with traffic congestion. The hotel has essentially zero place to park a car. Breakfast was average - did not tip the scale either way. Would have spent a second night, but they were fully booked. Would likely look into staying here again in the future. Staff was helpful. They have a secure area for storing baggage which was helpful as we looked into where to stay for our second night. Cable TV had a wide variety of farang channels!

The location is in the city of Chiangmai old town. Hotel includes facilities like fitness room, library and outside swimming pool. While unfortunately it was raining almost all day when I live in. Luggage boy will take the luggage to the room and check the facilities. The room rate includes breakfast which values 250B per person.
