Couldn't fault it.”

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Royal Princess and found it excellent value for money. Check in was fast and friendly. We arrived on an early flight and were pleasantly surprised to find that we could check in to our room immediately upon arrival. We were expecting to have to leave our bags and hit the streets until check-in time later that afternoon. Being able to check in at 9am was such a bonus and really amounted to an extra day for us. We were settled, showered and put sight-seeing within an hour. I had some items of clothing laundered through the hotel and, although relatively expensive compared to the cheap services offered at various outlets nearby, we needed a few things in a hurry and, again, were amazed at the service....our clothes were back to us within 3-4 hours. The rooms are well equipped with toiletries, hairdryer, safe, robes and slippers. Bed was super big with good quality linen so we slept very well. The night bazaar is right at the doorstep and the whole area has a wonderful festive feel about it. We were on the 4th floor, facing the street but did not experience any bothersome street noise. We ate I. The hotel restaurant just once (again, so many options available in the immediate area, including the western stalwarts McDonalds, Burger King, Subway and Starbucks) and found the food to be great. Money changers, pharmacies, massage shops, arts and crafts are all just metres away. I would highly recommend the Royal Princess Chiang Mai and, if I'm ever back in town, this is where I'll be staying.

The Dusit Princess Hotel is in an excellent location in the Night Bazaar; in walking distance (10min) to basically everything you want to see in Chiang Mai. The staff were so kind and the room was very clean and comfortable with Western-style bathrooms. Food is expensive but great for breakfast/coffee/etc and very fast. Very helpful with booking activities. During Songkrahn the Dusit was the life of the party! I was honestly blown away with how wonderful our stay was. Usually fancier hotels are stuffy and cold but I really felt very comfortable walking in everyday. We were only planning on staying here for 1 night and ended up staying for 4.

Dusit Princess Chiang Mai is located right in the middle of Chiang Mai. Right across the street from the night markets. This was the best place I stayed this trip in Thailand. The service was fantastic. The food was very yummy. Everything was literally right on the doorstep. I really liked the bar/cafe in the lobby. Live music, great cocktails, yummy food and you can sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai.

Superb Stay AT the Night Market”

The Royal Princess is perfectly situated. The famous Chiang Mai Night Market is literally out the front door. There are dozens of fantastic little restaurants within easy walking distance in any direction and the shopping is everywhere. The hotel staff were universally attentive, polite and eager to please (which is pretty consistent throughout all of Thailand, but seemed especially so at the Royal Princess) and if you need transportation (from Tuk Tuks to taxis, to private minivans of the hotel's shuttle) it can all be arranged in seconds. The internet access was rock-solid (which was a big deal to us) and there is a printer right in the lobby for easy Boarding Pass generation before you hop to the airport. Loved Chiang Mai and especially loved the Royal Princess.

Great hotel with an equally great and friendly sta”

Our stay at the Dusit Princess Chiang Mai Hotel was splendid. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the night market, and within walking distance to all the places we wanted to go. The staff when we check-in was very friendly, and the room was clean. We would definitely booked this hotel again and would highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Excellent Hotel and Location”

This hotel is right smack in the centre of the night bazaar and the city comes alive from 6pm onwards. The night bazaar is awesome and I enjoyed being there every night. No regrets booking Dusit Princess and we will definitely stay at Dusit when we visit the next time. It is practically walking distance to most places. Breakfast spread was good too. The only setback was, there was a baby cockroach found on the sofa in our room. Other than that all was good! Thank you, Dusit Princess!

Best Choice for Chiang Mai Trip”

The hotel is in best location, in the middle of night bazaar. Room is spacious and clean, and have great view with Chiang Mai downtown and mountain behind with lots of green. Staff are nice, too. The best thing about this hotel is breakfast, offering wide variety of menu in good quality. Needless to doubt, Royal Princess is the best choice among the hotels in same price range. *FYI: The lobby is now in remodeling construction, but no problem at all for guests.

Great hotel with a fantastic location”

A great hotel, located just right in front of the night bazaar. very convenient for travellers to eat, shop and massage. massage parlours are everywhere around the hotel area. franchised outlets such as starbucks, mcdonald, burger king, subway are right in front of hotel too. room wise, a very clean and modern room, i must say. Fruits are replenished everyday, together with complementary drinking water. toiletries, bathrobe, in room slippers are provided as well. I have no complaint about the room, except that internet is not free here (in fact the whole chiang mai area). hotel's wifi internet access is exorbitantly expensive. if you wanna access internet, i would suggest you go to mcdonald (opposite of hotel) or starbucks (beside hotel) where they still charge for the wifi but at a cheaper price. In a nutcase, My family and I had an excellent experience staying here, will definitely come back here next time!

Very nice”

A very nice, clean hotel. Medium sized pool with good water temperature. I had room 222 which was next to the pool so I guess I was a bit spoilt. All the facilities you would expect of a 4 star hotel and no complaints. I also stayed at Duangtawan hotel and Chiang Mai Plaza and would rate Dusit Princess second of the 3 (Chiang Mai Plaza was my preference)

Perfect shopping bag drop location...”

Location could not be any closer to the action. Seated people watching facility with added advantage of food and drink on offer is right in front of hotel. Good for a breather from potential shopping exhaustion. Breakfast, spoilt for choice, good variety. 7/11 next door, pharmacy, massage centre, good tailor all within 100 steps away from hotel lobby, that's like drink, popcorn & remote all being within elbow reach whilst nestled in to watch dvd for the night. how good can it get, well from my experience at the Royal Princess, you cant get much better. Being my 3rd visit to Chiang Mai this is my 2nd stay at the Royal Princess and will be hotel of choice for all future visits. If you can ignore the dated decor this should be your choice, the property is very clean and tidy,anyway when we travel do we travel to enjoy the decor of the hotel or to soak up the atmosphere of the destination!!!

We were staying at a different hotel outside the city for 3nights and our friends stayed at Dusit Princess, we loved how it was in the middle of everything. Right outside is the night market and the Ladyboys Cabaret show, a little further walk is a MuayThai stadium. Needless to say, we did a last minute booking at this hotel on our last night in Chiang Mai, it was all worth it!! We didn't have to pay 400B for a tuktuk roundtrip to the hotel.

More than a mere Hotel”

Having stayed at the Royal Princess Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand, has been more than a mere stay at a Hotel. The service is the best ever encountered. Special request and services such as for food items and various services such as laundry, communications and others are met with a CAN DO attitude, seldom found in other Hotels. The excellent location of the Hotel in the central Night Bazaar area are a huge plus. Excellent transport services to and from the Airport.

stayed 2 nights in Dusit Princess formally called Royal Princess. its conveniently located in Chiang Mai night bazar with plenty of restaurant nearby. Starbucks and 7-11 is next door. the room is good but the bed size is small. pool is not that great either. overall its great to stay here

The only place to stay in Chiang Mai”

Staying at the Royal Princess Chiang Mai made our visit to Northern Thailand a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is fabulously located, clean, comfortable and the staff are incredibly nice. Located on the night bazaar it is the best place to stay when visiting Chiang Mai.

Very convenient location, fantastic staff service”

While I have been to Chiang Mai many times before, this was my first time staying at the Dusit Princess. I was pleasantly surprised and it was a pleasant stay. The room was spacious and relatively well maintained. It was value for money, for the price, location and convenience, as well as the fantastic staff service. I would certainly consider staying there again during the next visit.

Excellent choice Chiang Mai”

We were impressed with the Dusit Princess. The decor is beautiful and staff are some of the friendliest folks you'll meet. Location is in the center of the night market and close to many attractions. They even have free weights in their gym. We'll certainly stay here again next time we're in Chiang Mai!

Royal Princess Chiang Mai”

This is a fantastic hotel located in the most ideal location. It is located within the night bazaar with many seafood restaurants, 24-hours fast food resturant (McDonald & Burger King) opposite the hotel. The staff will assist you in crossing the road if they saw you stuck at the side while trying to cross the road. We managed to get a connecting room and this really made our stay very comfortable and cosy as we have 2 toddlers and one elderly. My 2 kids have been asking to go back to Chiang Mai to stay at this hotel which we will if we were to go back to Chiang Mai again.

Nice hotel in a great location”

Royal Princess Chiang Mai Hotel is situated in a very good location, right in the middle of the famous Night Bazzar at Chang Klan Road. Everything is available right there, food and shopping. I couldn't ask for more in this hotel where they also provide great service with a smile. I will definitely opt to stay at this hotel again in my next Chiang Mai holiday trip !

Pleasant Stay ”

Had a pleasant stay at Dusit Princess Hotel. It's a less than 30mins ride from Chiang Mai Intl Airport and Dusit Princess Hotel provided a complimentary airport transfer for two-way and that is really a value-added service to us. Breakfast spread was of an affordable range and just outside the hotel. there are many restaurants available like local Thai restauraunt , Macdonalds, Starbucks etc. Night market is also just opposite the hotel. However, it can become very noisy up to 12am because there will be a band performing at night market and it can be heard from the room.

Like going home”

This is my fourth stay at the Royal Princess, and it is just like going home. I have found my "favorite room", the staff recognizes me and is very accommodating, and I found what will be come my favorite room that I will request. I had a good view of the night market, and was high enough (7th floor) that the noise did not reach. Although the hotel is older, they have remodeled much of it and is seems established and clean and well maintained. The price is very reasonable, will be curious to see what happens when we hit tourist season, but I plan to make this my monthly stop if the price stays within range. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want easy access to the night market and Chiang Mai city sites.
