EXCELLENT STAY! FANTASTIC RESORT!”

We had a fantastic stay at the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket! On Arrival we were greeted very well and informed that we were upgraded to the Club Sea view room. The room had a direct access to the beach and the view was excellent! The beach is nice and clean with very cool blue water. The hotel has an excellent sunset bar where u can have a cool cocktail and watch the Sunset. So beautiful and romantic. There is a baby elephant which passes the hotel beach by evening around 3-4 pm. What a fantastic setting it is .Pool on one side and the lagoon behind. Just walk into the XANA beach club by 11 pm and have a good party there. The entire area is so chill you can visit the other resorts and have a look. Dusit has the best beach for sure.

Wonderful hotel”

Clean, comfortable and well serviced rooms with large bathrooms and all amenities, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food - breakfast was particularly good. We lacked nothing during our stay at Dusit Thani Laguna and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for quality accommodation in a very pleasant setting away from the hustle and bustle of Patong. Beach is clean and quiet but with activities if required, pool and grounds very pleasant - plenty of shade if needed. Complimentary boat and shuttle transport between hotels. After touring all the other hotels in Laguna, we found Dusit to be the best. We even preferred it to Banyan Tree which is much more expensive. Certainly could not recommend Laguna Beach Hotel or Allamanda Best Western - very unimpressive and we were so pleased we didn't book into either of these.

Exceptional. Do not miss!”

We stayed at Dusit Thani for 2 nights in Dec 2019. The resort is located right on the beautiful Bang Tao beach, which is a 6 km stretch of white sandy shoreline. Apart from going to the beach and nearby bars and restaurants, there's not much that you need to leave your resort for. They have 4-5 restaurants within the resort offering a variety of cuisines. We tried the Thai restaurant (Ruen Thai), which had a lovely rustic ambiance and a nice view of the lagoon, apart from delicious food. Breakfast spread at the Laguna Cafe was amazingly good. Do not miss it! :) The staff made us feel at home and made our anniversary stay extra special by upgrading our room to a premium ocean view room. They were also kind enough to decorate our room. We were very impressed with this resort and the exceptional service levels which made our stay truly pleasant and memorable. Wish we had stayed longer as the 2 days just flew away. We will definitely visit Dusit Thani again! Highly recommended.

Stunning location and amazing service”

we stayed at the dusit thani laguna phuket for 9 nights and had a great time. the whole hotel was beautifully landscaped and spotlesslly clean. we tried all the restaurants in the hotel (except the bar in the lobby), and the food was of a very high standard, particularly in the italian and thai restaurants. the staff were attentive, helpful and very respectful, they made us feel like royalty! i would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

UNFORGETTABLE STAY AT DUSIT THANI LAGUNA!”

My stay was wonderful in every way. The staff were ever so helpful, courteous, kind and professional in all my dealings with them, from the waitresses in the Laguna Cafe to the staff in Reception (especially the Concierge!) to the housekeepers to the towel boys stationed near the pool. I can hardly express the gratitude I feel towards them for making my holiday a thoroughly enjoyable one in multiple ways! I was amazed by the 5-star quality and variety of the breakfast served every day, and by the way the staff everywhere in the hotel were willing to go out of their way to render excellent service, cheerfully and with a smile. Anyone who needs help of any kind should approach any of the fine young ladies at the Concierge in particular. Even the housekeeping was so thorough that I would discover fresh towels in our room at every turn over the course of the day, with bathrooms scrubbed clean at least twice. There was ample room for everyone at the beach and at the swimming pool - something which is not necessarily the case in all other hotels. The Thai restaurant provided a unique dining experience both by way of refinement of the fare served and the tranquility of the ambience, situated as it is on the edge of a lake with mountains as backdrop. When the hotel suggests that it has attempted to create a little bit of paradise here on earth, they have good reason to say so! I would happily return to the Dusit Thani and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy a perfectly relaxing holiday!

Perfect for Phuket Marathon but also for a getaway”

We stayed for 2 nights at the Dusit Thani on the weekend of the Phuket Marathon. Check-in process was as efficient as expected. Room itself was very pleasant, on the ground floor directly overlooking the Lagoon itself. A small technical glitch with the bedside "control panel" that manages the lighting etc was quickly rectified. Only negative experience of the holiday - we'd landed and transferred on a late flight from Singapore. Following the check-in and set up of the room we tried to get some food on the Friday night at one of the restaurants, to be told that last orders were at 10.30pm and that the kitchen was closed. We'd arrived at the restaurant at 10.32, so this seemed pedantic and not accommodating to weary and hungry travellers. To be fair, the restaurant staff allowed us to have items from the 24hr Room Service menu delivered to the restaurant so that we didn't need to eat in our room but the menu was limited and the food was merely "OK". Dusit Thani has a nice pool area that backs onto the beach - service at the pool bar was efficient and courteous. We ate at the Trattoria (Italian Cuisine) that evening and the food was pretty decent too. for the race day itself, the hotel has made exceptional provisions for breakfast (starting at 3.30 am ahead of the race starting at 4.30am). This was a good touch, I feel. We were also allowed a late checkout to reflect the extra time needed after the race to recover and freshen up. I would definitely recommend the Dusit Thani for a long weekend getaway.

Quality Hotel”

This was my first visit to Phuket although I have a home in Thailand and am a regular visitor to other parts of the kingdom. I wanted a hotel away from the masses but, at the same time, we wanted somewhere near to "civilisation" for my visiting teenage children. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We priced up the cost of getting a limo from the hotel (1350 baht) against a taxi meter (350-500 baht) having read the reviews so it was a no brainer. The taxi meter stand is on the right on leaving Phuket airport. The hotels location is in the Laguna complex which houses 5 or 6 major hotels. Access to other hotels is via ferries or shuttle buses so transportation within the resorts is easy if you fancy a change of scenery. Outside of the complex are a number of restaurants, shops, spas and bars but it is no Patong Beach (although nor is it typically Thai). We booked Club Rooms which were spacious and fairly luxurious. A Club Room gives you breakfast, complimentary soft drinks from the mini bar as well as extras such as free cocktails at the bar between 6PM and 7PM. This proved a bonus and actually ended up saving us money so well worth it. On reading previous reviews, I noted comments about the price of food in the restaurants but, frankly, I feel that it is unrealistic to compare the prices in the hotels restaurants against, say, a restaurant in downtown Phuket. Its a bit like comparing prices for a meal in Southend to a meal in the Dorchester (sorry for non Brits reading that). You have booked into a quality resort so you expect to pay over the odds and I did not feel ripped off at paying less than £100 for 4 people to have a 3 course meal with wine and drinks in either the Italian (which by Thai standards was excellent) or the Thai restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience

Sun, Sea and Relaxation”

DTLPH is a gem located in Bang Tao. From landing at the Phuket airport, waiting at the Laguna stand, offered cold refreshing towels, being transferred in a very comfortable vehicle to the check in, all smooth and super efficient. Friendly receptionist had us checked in and fully informed about everything and within no time we were in our beautiful pool villa. It's exactly what's shown in the photos, large spacious and ideal for a big family, we were 2x adults and 2 kids 13 and 11. The private pool was superb and great for when you want some privacy or to cool down at end of day. Breakfast for villa residents was separate to rest of hotel, very good selection of food across a range and staff and chefs always go the extra mile, my eggs Benedict were fantastic. In room dining as well as the food at each restuarant on the resort was delicious and reasonably priced. Beach access super easy and pool only a few meters from beach. Lots of activities on beach or just relax whatever your preference. Staff always willing to assist with umbrellas, towels etc. sunset is a must see. Shuttle service provided for all hotels in the vicinity and 3min drive to the main town entrance and from there a few minutes walk to great restaurants, shops and local businesses. Villa market is as good as any first world supermarket and 1minute walk for hotel there's a small shopping centre with family mart, bakery and doctors rooms, money exchange and more. Depending on your preference many different restuarants on site and in town, but local Thai, seafood and Italian food usually dominate menus. Bampot restuarant is a hidden gem and must try, especially their Thai fried cauliflower ! All issues (there weren't many) were resolved quickly. Each villa gets bicycles, great to ride around the laguna and town. Overall a 5 star experience and will definitely stay there again.

Unbelievable service ”

We stayed at the Dusit Thani for three nights and it was definitely not enough time. The resort is located about forty five minutes from the busy city of Patong on Phuket. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the laguna Villas and they were exquisite. The rooftop pool and outdoor showers were wonderful and the villas were open, bright, beautifully decorated and spacious. The beds were comfortable and luxurious and wonderfully clean. I can't say enough about the service at the hotel. I felt like visiting royalty. The public pool was not as spacious as I would have liked and the beach area although beautiful was could use some updating. In a pool villa , this wasn't an issue since we always used our rooftop pool. Some of the best pool food I have ever had. Would definitely return.

This was a treasure after the first 2 nights we stayed in patong. We were warmly welcomed by the staff of Dusit Thani. Check-in was a breeze, & we were given the room early since it was available. The room was well maintained, but was a tad disappointed as it wasn't the kind of ocean view i was expecting; the view was covered by trees! It wouldn't have been disappointing if i haven't paid a premium. nonetheless, the room ambience made up for that! There were a list of activities for kids. In fact, we brought our 17 mth old kid to the playroom & he totally enjoyed it. There were also activities for the older kiddos. The swimming pool was relatively small for a big hotel, but it was never overly crowded. Free shuttle bus service is provided for the hotels within the laguna area. Similarly, there was a small ferry that shuttles amongst the various laguna hotels. And u could dine atany of the restaurants within laguna & charge it to your hotel room. Overall, it was a great stay. We enjoyed it thoroughly & we definitely will be back again!

the laguna region is the best choice in phuket for families. the dusit is one of these hotels in laguna bang tao. this hotel have different kinds of rooms from laguna view till the villas with private pool the stuff is very friendly and help ful.gthe breakfast has many choices. the kids club for children is fantastic and have good program i advise every one want to travel to phuket to book in this hotel.

What a great week We spend at Dusit Thani Laguna Hotel. The Club Room is very Good, specially the Benefits, it's excellent. My daughter having lots of fun playing in the private beach and great swimming pool. Although the location is quite far from Phuket City/Patong, you can always rent a daily car/motorbike for transportation. Overall, a great holiday in a great hotel.

Great place if all you want is a beach holiday”

This is my 2nd stay in the Laguna Complex, which consists of 5-6 hotels. The Dusit Thani offers beach front access, which is convenient. Phuket town and Patong are about 12 km away. Taxis were charging about 700 Baht each way, which is exorbitant. No free shuttles are provided to town, which is most unusual. The hotel was charging 300 Baht per person each way for its bus shuttle to town, which is still expensive. In any case, it didn't bother me much as I was there for the beach, which is most pleasant and scenic.

Peacefiul Heaven”

we had a wonderful week at dusit thani laguna at the beginning of our 6 weeks stay in thailand. what a perfect place to get rid of jet-lag, an really "wake up" to holiday! we enjoyed the hole of this hotell, from the spa, to restaurants, the beautiful an almost private beach, to the everywhere nice and friendly staff. the big gardens made the hole extra luxourios, and we spent the 2 first days there with a book just to get used to the climate. perfect!

Fantastic in every way”

We loved staying at the Dusit Thani, it was just right for us- two families with children aged 3-12. It was a lovely location with the beach and the lagoon within access and it was nice not to face heavy touting every time we stepped outside...as we have experienced in other parts of Phuket. The only disappointment is that the hotel restaurants are overpriced. Just go outside the resort if you want Thai prices. It is also away from noisy bars and clubs which suited us but if that's your thing go elsewhere. The only downer for us was the weather...it rained a lot. We took this risk going in July, when it can be nice or can be rainy. We still managed to enjoy ourselves- hired a van and driver for a day to explore, walked around Cheong Thalang, went to Naka night markets, went on a boat trip and played lots of card games in between!

Lovely hotel, great location, nice room”

We thoroughly enjoyed our albeit short stay in the Dusit Thani Laguna Hotel, it was a great introduction to Thailand, the land of smiles. The staff were very helpful and attentive, right from a very full and varied breakfast, in a beautiful airy room, located next to a little pool full of fish, and looking out to the swimming pool and onwards to the beach. We were thoroughly impressed, and would definately stay there again, and probably for longer next time. One improvement i would make, would be to make more of the little pitch and putt course, to bring it into line with the high standard of the rest of the hotel.
