El Nido hotels & places to stay

We have been to other resorts in El Nido, but never had that quality meals or mixed drinks. From the moment we met the French GM, and the Spanish F&B manager, I was sure that we would not be disappointed. The drinks are truly special and two of them we had never experienced before. For every meal we chose between the fish, crabs or langoustines, which are presented caught fresh from the ocean on a platter for selection. The resort has a policy of never offering as fresh anything older than the day it was caught. The location is very special, as was the day tour on their own boat, which is far and away the very best we have seen anywhere in El Nido: very comfortable, not overcrowded as all the other ones you see, personalized and with an excellent crew and food. All four of us also used the top notch massage services at a unique spot on the island. The accomodation is good, but not excellent, and the facilities are hard to maintain. Overall a top experience, well worth the cost.

We made the booking last minute (since we got scammed by a travel agency so be cautious when getting deals from agencies). I saw Matinloc and I must say the photos did stun me which made me decide to book. I have only heard of Lagen and Miniloc so I gave this one a try. The trip to El Nido was long but bearable since they have good roads already. When we arrived at the El Nido Hotel (partner resort of Matinloc) we were welcomed by the staff and asked us to wait for the boat transfer to arrive. It was rainy season when we went there but they really took care of our luggages (black plastic bags) and make sure they don't get wet. We took a boat going to the Matinloc Island and when we got there, we were welcomed by their warm staff. CHECK IN was a breeze and we got the premium suite (beach front above the reception). Their FOOD was awesome as well. They do not offer alcoholic beverages though but good thing is that you can ask their staff to buy it from the mainland. Just check with the front desk on the boat schedules. For the TOURS, i suggest you look outside the resort. There are a lot of groups offering tour packages in El Nido which normally ranges from 1,200 to 1,500 (with gear and food as well). Their packages are quite expensive. On the resort activities, they have kayaking and snorkeling gears for free. :) ROOMS are clean and really comfortable. They change the bed sheets everyday and the hotel amenities are just amazing. Literally you don't have anything to worry about. Overall our stay was awesome! Me and my husband did enjoy our quitet time together and would definitely come back with the family.

The view from this resort is really amazing even if you stay in the garden view room (you can always climb up the hill and have rest on the lounges there). But it's a bit noisy because of 24/7 working electricity generator and water pump (I guess that was their sound). Although electricity and hot water is not very stable like almost everywhere in El Nido. Corong Corong is the best place to stay in El Nido I'm sure, and the beach Las Cabanas which is situated right near the hotel (but you have to climb from there some hundreds steps up, so be ready for that! if you have been to the best hotel on Santorini in Greece you won't complain) is really one of the best beaches of El Nido as well, and if you are near Las Cabanas you don't need these everyday island-hoppings to enjoy your stay in El Nido. E.g. the main beach of Corong Corong is nothing to compare with Las Cabanas. The service is standard (they will offer you all the famous tours ABCD, all possible activities and rent a van to Puerto Princesa or anywhere else), the staff is helpful with all your bags and all you may ask. Every time you'll go to the beach you may ask a towel at the reception. The restaurant is nice for view and dinner, included buffet breakfast is also good. The rooms are a bit small and stuffy. I don't like air-conditioners but I had to use it. No Wi-Fi and no SMART signal (only at the reception desk and in the restaurant up the hotel). Дороговатое место, но вид сумасшедшей красоты, особенно если в комнате с морским видом на Корон Корон (вид на другую сторону с садом и морем вдалеке тоже, однако, неплох). Но после тяжелого дня или как разленишься на пляже, трудно подниматься наверх по ступенькам, но тут уж... на то и вид! Кто бывал в Греции на скалах Санторини на ступеньки жаловаться не будет. В номере душновато, трудно проветрить, номер маленький, если открыть окно - круглосуточно шумит электрогенератор и водонасос, хотя всё равно перебои с горячей водой и светом случаются регулярно. Нет вайфа

We stayed at the resort for 6 days to celebrate our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived to El nido airport they took care of everything! picked us up, took our bags, provided lounge and more. The hotel is on a beautiful tropical island with clear water about 25 min by boat from the airport. Throughout our stay the staff were exceptional, best I seen and I travel a lot. The rooms are very big and comfortable (mostly the beach vila) which is right above the beautiful beach. The food and drinks are pretty good and not very expensive and the massage treatments are amazing in a reasonable price (really recommend to try!) The hotel provides many activities and tours for no costs as well as private tours. Spending the time in the main pool was perfect, the view is one of a kind and the pool water is the perfect temperature. The only things we were surprised about was that the hotel didn't say or do anything about our honeymoon as it wasn't just another vacation for us.

It’s my 5th time in El Nido but this is my very first time to stay in El Nido town. I booked the first part of my El Nido trip at Cuna Hotel for 3 days/2nights. It’s, a 2 month old midrange property on soft opening conveniently located in town, close to the restaurants and shops, and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. It’s an impressive, modern hotel with a gorgeous Skydeck offering a view that more than makes up for it not being a beachfront property. It has a spacious, air conditioned lobby, tastefully designed rooms with modern bathrooms, hot and cold shower, a small infinity pool, and surprisingly like most smaller hotels and hostels - a snack corner with coffee, tea and cookies available for free 24/7. The breakfast buffet at the Skydeck was good too, with the bacon worthy of mention. Cuna claims they are the first hotel in El Nido to use key cards, and I guess one of the few with an elevator. The rooms are spotless; it’s pretty impressive that they’re able to maintain clean and shiny floors to think that most of the people going in came from the beach! Plus the airconditioning is more than sufficient for the room size; it quickly gets cool, and that’s important after a hot day in the sun! There was a letter in the room and several posts in the lobby informing guests about ongoing construction during the day and apologizing for the noise and any inconvenience. As I was mostly out during the day (leaving the hotel after breakfast) for island hopping and some diving, I didn’t even notice any work going on by the time I return late in the afternoon. I’d recommend this hotel to friends and I’d book this property again if ever I go back to El Nido anytime soon.

We had an amazing 5 days in El nido because of double gem hotel. It was our first time to go to el nido, we never knew what to expect. I must say that when youre actually there, you can see/feel and when you compare the hotels in the area, you will feel that you are in the best one. The view from the pool with every sunset is breathtaking.They have a restaurant/bar which is affordable and you dont need to go in town to eat, its worth the price. The staffs are so friendly, warm,and give excellent service, especially jason who tour us around the hotel and very instructive. The rooms are cozy and was kept clean. We are definitely coming back to el nido and definitely gonna be going back to stay at this hotel.

It can be quite challenging to find a hotel in El Nido which both nice and reasonably priced. I'm glad that I made this choice. The location is not too far from the downtown El Nido (about 5-10 mins by tricycle or bike) but yet quiet and peaceful (with a beachfront). From the moment we arrive, the staff was very helpful, they offer us free pocket wifi (which is very handy), help us to rent our bike, and also help us to book our shuttle bus to Puerto Princesa. The room itself is descent sized, comfortable, with a spacious patio overlooking the beach. Highly recommended, and I don't think you need to look further after you read my review.

Going to El Nido itself is a one of a kind experience. But to stay in El Nido Resorts Lagen Island while you're there will make it a truly once in a lifetime moment. The staff will go well above and beyond your expectations. They'll know you by name, and they'll do whatever it takes to make your stay there a memorable one. They have an Activities officer that will help you plan and maximize your stay in El Nido, and they'll customize your activities according to your preferences. The hotel manager is an active participant; he doesn't just sit in an office. He looks for ways to enrich each of the hotel guests' experiences. If you're going to go to El Nido, don't short-change your experience by staying at another hotel that's less expensive. As the idiom goes, "you get what you pay for", but in the case of El Nido Resorts Lagen Island, you will get more than you'd ever expect. We'll go back there as soon as we can just to re-experience the beautiful moment that El Nido Resorts helped us have.

This is a charming, island-style hotel at the north end of El Nido Beach. The room was well-appointed, grounds were immaculate, pool was inviting, location was within walking distance to shops and restaurants in El Nido Town, and staff was welcoming and helpful. That said, I have to add that wifi is available only in the reception area during business hours. When available, it is painfully slow and loses connectivity to the point of dropping posts. Also, they are in the process of building a high-rise addition which, from drawings, does not appear to be island-style. Although adding to capacity, I'm afraid it will destroy the island vibe that was so peaceful and relaxing. Time will tell.

location. one would go to el nido, palawan for r&r and to get away from the hustle & bustle of work. this goal was met by el nido resorts, miniloc island. the hotel is situated in a secluded cove that can only be reached by an outrigger boat from el nido town. it's peaceful, serene and quiet. a perfect getaway from the stress of the city. the beachfront the miniloc island is fantastic! awesome really! just bring your snorkel and walk a few steps from the shore and you're immediately in the beautiful marine world with nemo and his friends. different kinds of fishes can already be seen from the resort, no need to do some island hopping though that one is also something fun to do. we were informed by one of our guides that miniloc island used to be a dive site years ago. hence, the vast variety of fish and sea life living in its area. food. amazing! we booked for the "fullboard" option which meant that buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were included in our fee and man did our bellies get full! it was a gastronomical treat! the fruits were always fresh. there were many varieties of food to choose from. the hotel has to work on shifting their grill area though. the smoke enters the dining area & annoys the guests. we had to move to a different area of the resto, away from the smoke. staff. the staff in miniloc resorts were nice, friendly and they always respected your privacy. had a hard time communicating through email with their representative from the manila office, though. i have received confirmation about our room booking from the manila office but not about the boat pick up. i had to call a couple of their contact numbers before i was finally able to speak with somebody from the resort in el nido to ask about our boat transfer. it would be great if the resort had a 24-hour hotline or online assistance service. overall, we enjoyed our stay. probably because my husband & i are outdoor enthusiasts. we were happy but not ecstatic.

Super nice and clean Hotel, everything you need to have a good time in El Nido! The only thing what was missing was a WIFI connection, but they informend us in advanced that there isnt going to be a signal. The stuff is very friendly and helpfull. The place is quite and peaceful. The beach is actually amazing, the view is much better then the one in El Nido, but the sand was kind of dirty with all the plastic and stuff. At the end we really enjoyed our stay there and would go again!

Booked this hotel because of the good reputations in the internet. Let me mention, that I had spent afterwards in other 3 hotels in El Nido. In the end, this was one of the best hotels. I wanted a room with wifi, ac and near the beach. That was exactly offered by the hotel. Pro: - Wifi worked perfectly in my room - the ac worked fine - is based directly at El Nido beach - nice terrace to sit with view at the beach / ocean - included breakfast was acceptable - nice and helpfully staff Contra: - no electricity from 6am to 2pm but this is a El Nido thing, but there are other hotels, which are running their own generator for the meantime - pricy generally the value for money for all hotels in El Nido is much(too) high - the beach is not spectacular as the water is not really clean, swimming is in my idea not recommended.

Beautiful property, private accommodations, great breakfast included and will serve on your veranda, great location in Corong Corong, right next to beach (short pleasant walk down dirt street) lovely restaurant/bar right on this beach - La Plage, great pool, very clean, 3 of us stayed in one room and lots and lots of space, nice owners, very helpful staff, great AC, highly recommend staying here instead of downtown el Nido, 5 minute trike ride to el Nido and easy to get trike, very cheap for trike ride. If you fly into el Nido you will need to wait I trike line or arrange accommodations ahead of time. They do book up ahead of time so reserve well ahead. Cons - very expensive bar and food. A bottle of water is very expensive, their exchange rate is not great. Make sure to bring pesos and pick up water elsewhere. Also leave the resort for food. While the food is absolutely delicious, it's overpriced. Many restaurants along beach better value for money (especially La Plage)

Excellent new hotel in El Nido, I would assume it is by far the best option for those not worried about being directly on the El Nido beach. Only very slight downer was that for the price (deluxe) I thought that there might be a TV but in El Nido there really is no need for one anyway. Hot water 24 hours a day, air con worked a treat and the room stayed cool even during the scheduled power cuts. This place will be in the next Lonely Planet for sure so take advantage of the good prices whilst you still can.

This place is a short drive south of the main town in El Nido between Corong Corong and Marimeg Beaches. The room was nice, but the bed was a bit firm and the shower was not separated from the toilet. The toilet would need to be wiped down after a shower, but the views of sunset from the 2nd floor deck cannot be beat. The Outpost hostile is just next door for late night fun. The small pool is a nice touch and the staff was incredible! Josephina was a great host and took very good take of us. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again.

We were very happy about the location since the staff was really nice. Considering that all places in El Nido are quite expensive and that you normally get more for the price you pay in that country, it was really a good choice. When you stay there, please consider that it's normal in El Nido that water pressure is not that high, and electricity is sometimes not available. The city of El Nido is quite noisy, so we were happy to stay in a calm place which offers you a transfer to the city centre (30 P/person).

El Nido is a place with many braches, and at the end of each is a paradise on its own. Casa Kalaw is the main artery that connects these branches and offers a slice of paradise by itself. Just 5 minutes away from the airport, one does not waste time on extra land or sea travel just to get to a resort that offers the features of a world-class hotel. The Casa Kalaw Staff are very well trained and answer your needs from arrival to departure. The rooms are clean and cozy, the pool is warm and freshening and the accessibility to the beach, stores, bank and dining options is ideal. Breakfast is well-made everyday and offers variety. The beach itself is very pristine and ine can laze around the whole day and still be impressed at it. Just a 20 minute ride south to the town or 20 minutes north to Nacpan beach, Casa Kalaw is certainly at the center of where you should be in El Nido. Everything priced very fairly. Definitely worth coming back to again and again!

Balai Adlao, is located in Lio eco-tourism estate, together with sister hotels Casa Kalaw and Hotel Covo. Whilst the Lio tourism resort is quite a distance from the main streets in El Nido town, it is made accessible by a complimentary hourly shuttle bus service from TKDC central office in El Nido town. The rooms are clean and spacious, good value for money. Hotel staff are all warm and friendly. The resort was lit up with pretty eco-friendly christmas decorations (think wooden trees) when we were there in December. There are restaurants (and a massage spa) located within the Lio resort so we didn’t need to head out of the resort when we wanted to wind down after a full day of island hopping! Jetty provides a really pretty view of the sunset too. Overall definitely a great place to stay for travellers looking for a hideaway from the usual buzz of El Nido. Will choose to come back to this place if I’m back in El Nido in the future!

We were a group of three friends who visited El Nido, Palawan for the first time. We had a great stay in Swiftlests Inn! The location is very convenient and near to beachfront restaurants. It just took us a few minutes to reach the center of El Nido. The room is clean with hot shower and a tub! The wifi is okay. And there’s also a safe in the room to put your valuables. They also serve free breakfast. Only downside is that our room is on the 4th floor and there’s only stairs. But its okay since even the fancier hotels in El Nido don’t have elevators. They also don’t have a restaurant but the place is near to restaurants. The staff are very approachable and responsive to our requests. We checked out late because we came from Nacpan beach but they still provided us a room to put our baggages and to shower without additional payment. I will surely come back to this place if I visited El Nido again in the future! Highly recommended! Maris 🇵🇭

We had a deluxe villa, it is ideal for two couples. WE LOVED IT SO MUCH! I guess it is the best hotel in El nido. We loved the pool and view. :) Beautiful sunsets and it is quite high in a mountain (many stairs), but for sure the best view in El nido. Only bad thing - there was no wifi in our villa, but we had Philippines sim cards and internet there, so it was not a problem, for others it may be.

I find this resort perfect. It exceeded my expectations. Sunset view from the pool is stunning. Even the depth of the pool is perfect (for me). Food in their restaurant is fantastic. For a family-run resort, I find it professionally managed with a touch of personal interaction. Rose, one of the owners, is accommodating. Her cooking's flavorful. Love it. She steps up and personally handles the kitchen in the absence of other staffers. As it's a small and simple resort (but lovely, with great facilities), they may seem undermanned at times but the owners will readily step up and be of service to guests. As a matter of fact, I find the compactness of the resort (8-10 rooms) part of its charm. It lends an atmosphere of close privacy that's almost creates a feeling of exclusivity. It's relatively secluded from the rest of the town center. Walking distance through the residential area but you can avail of the resort shuttle (tricycle) service. Don't forget to contact them so you can be picked up from the outskirt of the central town proper so you won't need to walk. But you can of course opt to walk all the way and appreciate the neighborhood if you don't mind the dirt road. Price is on the high side, but fortunately, I didn't feel shortchanged. It's worth it. The room's HUGE, tidy, well-kept and new. Next time I'm here, I'll try and request getting a room by the pool directly facing the sunset. Yes, will definitely stay again here next time I visit El Nido. If budget is not much of a concern, it will be great to check in here for your entire El Nido stay. However, if you plan to have at least one entire day of relaxation in your room/resort, in between your adventures in El Nido, you might as well spend it by checking in for a day/night here. There's a good pool and the beach is also right in front of the resort. Lastly, the resort's own generator will ensure that you have power/AC/TV round the clock that you won't even realize that there's a routine/scheduled bla

I researched lots of hotels in El nido and chose this hotel on my birthday. I absolutely enjoyed the hotel and met my expectations for what I paid for. Room was sparkling clean, used good quality furniture, double door to prevent noise from street, balcony to dry clothing, comfortable mattress, facilities were well looked after. Staff were very nice. I did not have time to use a swimming pool as I was too busy exploring around. I strongly recommend this hotel.

I spend a wonderful 4 day stay in Las Cabanas Beach Resort. First the location: exceptional!! I would not be anywhere else in El Nido than there!! The most beautiful sunset in the island!! Amazing staff, very efficient and solution seekers. Vangie was exceptional, giving all kind of good advises to make our stay in The Philippines and in El Nido as smooth as possible. I am very grateful to Hazel for taking the trouble of organizing our transfer from the airport to El Nido and for proposing tours. The food was very good. Our room was a bit more expensive but because it was one the only one having AC. Anyway, don't have enough words to share my enthusiasm for having being in Las Cabanas Beach Resort Thank you for amazing stay and great memories from Palawan Isabelle

The location is perfect on a small beach only accessible by boat. Sunsets are amazing as is the dinner on the beach. Snorkelling just off the beach is the best I've ever experienced. Free snorkels for hotel guests. Breakfast is served on your balcony and the staff are amazing There is only electricity between 6am and 6pm. This didn't bug us especially because the location is so great. Wifi reception is not great but it wasn't good anywhere in El Nido either. Was nice to switch off and enjoy this fabulous and remote location. The stars at night were so clear!

I was supposed to stay somewhere else, and I’m glad I changed my mind at the last minute. Rosanna’s Pension is situated on the beach front. They also have another building, which is just in front of their main building, that has the family rooms. Since you’re in El Nido, you’ll most likely be out for Tours and their location is perfect they easily access the boats or even the tricycles. I’m solo but my room has 3 beds which can fit 5 people comfortably. It’s a basic room with a really really cold AC (perfect for summer nights), a TV with Cable (signal is a bit weak though, but you’re not going to be inside your room anyway), 1 bathroom with a water heater, a dresser, and a wardrobe. The breakfast choices are limited to 2-3 each day. I didn’t mind since it’s free anyway. They also give you a free coffee or hot choco (both instant) and OJ (instant). During my stay, there was a power interruption from 7AM to 7.30PM. The lady in the reception area gave me an electric fan to use while waiting for the electricity to be turned back on. Their generators are powerful enough to use all the lights, electric fan, TV, and the power sockets to charge. The staff are friendly enough but not smothering to a point where they greet you all the time. They also remember all the instructions I told them before I left for my tour. When I got back to my room, all the requests I made were made. If I go back to El Nido, I’ll stay here again. Areas for improvement are: change the shower heads. Offer more breakfast choices. Put up tables and chairs at the beach front so customers can sit there during breakfast. Put up beach chairs for sun bathing in the afternoon. Put WiFi repeaters or routers in the back building so we can access the internet even in our rooms and not just in the lobby area. Do a general cleaning at least once a week inside the rooms, where you’ll use insect killers because there was a huge spider in my room and flies, too.

Stayed here for 6 nights in October 2018. Have researched hotels in El Nido extensively. This hotel was very large room, very clean, great TV channels for nighttime, has a generator for power outages, bed is comfy and staff were able to book island hopping trips without any trouble. Island hopping tours were fun when booked through this hotel with no hassle as the tour leaders picked us up at the hotel every morning. Make sure to buy fruits or bread and water for the island hopping trips so you will have some form of breakfast (no breakfast included at this hotel). The shower had hot water throughout our stay ( i saw others complain about this) however we had trouble finding a medium heat water so had to switch the tap back and forth between hot and cold to keep at at a mid heat. Overall was very happy with this room! No safes provided in room

This budget hotel is right off the road set on hillside. The rooms are native Philippine style. my room, #4, has a queen size bed, a shower room with strong water pressure & spectacular view of the ocean & islands nearby. it has a big deck where breakfast is served each mornings of my 4 days stay. the deck also has that killer view thats to die for. i can just sit at the deck all day to look at the view. the view will prolly inspire those with creative thoughts. i'm content with just sitting back with either coffee or beer (depending on time of day haha)& just looking at the view that i can't get enough of. though the actual room is small & fits a queen size bed, it does serve its purpose with a comfy mattress. There is one electrical outlet where u can charge your gadgets but be aware that there is no power in El Nido from 6am to 2pm. this is a budget hotel so your expectations shouldn't be that of a 5 or 3 star hotels. It is, in my opinion, the best budget hotel in El Nido. just that killer view is worth the price. there is wifi in the hotel front desk area. oh & since this hotel is set on a hillside, it is a steep climb to get to your room. but its good exercise anyways haha. the hotel is about 10 minute walk to the beach area. for hotel guests convenience, the hotel can arrange tours for you. I met & had a nice chat with the hotel owner Mang Rudy. a very affable, nice, simple guy. Thank you po, I have a great stay at your hotel & will definitely stay again & will recommend to my friends.
