Farglory Hotel is the Highlight of my Taiwan Trip”

The hotel is located at the top of the cliff overseeing the Pacific Ocean.. Therefore, the scenery is not to be missed and worth paying for the ocean view room.. I love the hotel's European furnishing and every staff are meticulous and friendly.. Rooms are big, clean and bed is really comfortable.. Because it is located on the cliff, you will have to arrange for own transport if you wish to dine outside or do some shopping.. Do visit the Farglory ocean theme park if you have time to spare.. The experience was great and it really caught us by surprise.. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to and fro the Ocean Park which made travelling fuss free.. In addition, the hotel also offers free shuttle bus service to Hualien Train station but remember to highlight to the staff one day in advance..

i chose the pacific ocean view room. it's very spacious! the hotel is located near the top of the mountain range (that runs across taiwan) and it's so huge that it can be seen from hualien airport. accessibility is alright in the daytime because there's a shuttle bus that goes to specific parts of hualien. but the last bus leaves hualien train station at 7pm, so it's troublesome when i wanted to go to the night market. the hotel offers shuttle bus pick up from hualien train station. give the hotel a call a few days before your departure to leave your particulars and check the price - it may or may not be free. the hotel's breakfast buffet is delicious! there's a wide array of food and you can enjoy a brilliant view of the ocean and mountains as you eat :)

Nice Hotel with Inspiring Views of Nature”

Farglory is a large, great hotel - sitting atop a hill in Hualien. The views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding areas are the real selling point. The staff were very friendly. Though I did not use them, the pools (both inside and outside) were generally usable but likely in need of repair / upgrading. The breakfast buffet was nice - although perhaps the restaurant could focus more on local dishes rather than breads and desserts. In general, it is worth visiting this hotel and Hualien, a great break from the busy and crowded environment of Taipei.

farglory tries to imitate the disney hotel in HK but they can't in terms of getting the disney feels; however the view from hotel is remarkable because of what the city of Hualien offers. If you want to spend your time in Farglory Park (near to hotel and I see it's small and outdated compared to disney), you should go there but if you don't go to park, i would suggest to go other boutique hotels

Lovely hotel with great ocean view”

A lovely Victorian style hotel facing great ocean view. The architecture of the hotel and the unbeatable ocean view are the greatest attraction of this hotel. The nearby Farglory Ocean Park is great for family with young children. The hotel has many dinning options and a few shops selling gifts and local delicacies/produce. Although the room that we stayed in was a bit small, it was lovely and comfortable. We plan to come back again and spend more time in this lovely hotel.

Top service In Farglory Hotel”

They provide 100% customer service. Before we arrive hotel, they arrange shuttle bus to pick us from Hualien Train station. When we arrive station, we can see clear sign & friendly driver already waiting there. In the hotel, we received very good service from check in, room service, shops, kids room & restaurant. Everyone service us with perfect knowledge and kindly smile. I have very good time with two kids in the hotel. I highly recommend everyone to stay here when traveling to Hualien Taiwan.

I like Farglory but I don’t like Agoda. It wasn’t obvious you were going to charge a fee. There wasn’t enough indication that a fee will be charged in addition to the room rate. When I clicked Book, it was too late to get out of the deal. The hotels don’t like your service either.

Beautiful Views & Good for people with Food Allergies ”

The staff here was amazing. I have a million food allergies, some of which are gluten an onion. I had something written up in Chinese and the staff made sure to have food available that I could eat. Gary, the food and beverage manager, spoke amazing English and was super helpful. The hotel grounds were beautiful. And it's a very good spot for families. It reminded me a lot of something you might find in Disney World. But the views are unparalleled. So it makes it possible to enjoy some peace and quiet away from kids. And there's a free bus into Hualien town everyday. So there's things to do away from the hotel, which is quite remote.

Large, clean, nice”

this hotel surprised me and my friends. it felt like a much more expensive hotel than it was. artwork hangs everywhere, the rooms are large, and the hotel has views either side: of the ocean and the mountains. i wouldn't spend more for the ocean view, since the mountain view is even better ! the only bad thing is that you have to catch a taxi for about 15 mins to hualien.

Beautiful hotel with good service ”

we had a lovely stay at the farglory hotel. hualien is a beautiful place but we found the food not as high a standard as in taipei. nevertheless, the farglory has a pretty good japanese restaurant which we enjoyed eating in.

Great for sea view sunrise”

The room has great view of the Pacific Ocean and in able to see sunrise from the room balcony. The room is big and clean. Breakfast provided was good too. The hotel is about 30 minutes drive from Hualien station.

Pretty picturesque views and great pools & jacuzzi”

Awesome variety of food during breakfast. We also ordered room service and the beef noodle soup was awesome, so flavourful. The hotel is very grand and you could see the ocean from the hilltop. Plenty of trees on the way up to the hotel. Very close to the theme park next door (Farglory Ocean Park), which is a lot of fun even for two adults. The hotel had 2 great pools (one indoor and one outdoor) and a warm jacuzzi indoors. Good excursion just a few minutes away from Hualien city. There's interesting piano music in the foyer of the hotel. Classy hotel.

Nice room, right next to the Ocean Park”

Very nice hotel, with great ocean views and brilliant interior design and very suitable for a relaxing trip. Impressed by the facilities around the main building, which includes a large garden and the ocean park which is a very nice place to spend a family day there. It is also a good place to start our trip to the southern part of the Hualien province as well. Will definitely stay there again in future!!

i would always choose far glory hotel everytime i think of going to hualien i just love the view over looking the pacific ocean .... it makes one calm and relaxing . Their breakfast buffet has lots of choices , makes one burrrp full .

Excellent View!”

Excellent experience. I don't normally like resorts, but this place commands and excellent position on a mountain and the view is worth the stay alone. If I return to see Hualien and Toroko, I will stay here - excellent view to retreat to after a long day and close proximity to both. The free meal was also exceptionally tasty. Not the cheapest stay but well worth the money for a special time.

Clean, quiet, beautiful views of the Pacific ocean”

We got a room overlooking the Pacific Ocean so the views were fantastic. Located in a quiet part of Hualien, near the Ocean Park, about 20min drive from the Dongdamen Night Market. Great for families who like to retreat to a peaceful and quiet accommodation after being in the city. Overall vibes of this hotel is tranquil and laid back. Breakfast buffet is decent...selection of European bread and fresh honey was good.

great for family and a morning with a nice view”

I am myself a quality manager of a 5 star hotel before and loved it with their room cleanliness , the welcome amenity was meant for autumn festival but still makes you feel good about it. the maple macadamia nut flavour moon cake was just delicious. other than that the staff service attitude was great even though they had me and my family waiting at the desk for a while because they couldn't find the Agoda reservation with my reservation number. I'd assume it was the reservation department in charge wasn't able to place it into their system in time before they got off work. The front desk staff however had the smile service expected of a 5 star rating. Either way, overall stay experience was great. other little things that happened does not damage my overall impression of the hotel, as I can see the staff does place their effort into giving us a good time.

Recommend for family with young children only due to the entertainment facility in the Farglory ocean park only suitable for young children. Value for money.
