First of all, check-in was smooth, and I was very pleased with the spacious and clean room. However, my experience with in-room dining was quite disappointing and did not reflect the standards I had ordered in-room dining for my mother, who was unwell. While I was outside, I called to check on the status of the order. I mentioned it was fine to be placed on hold, but I ended up waiting for more than three minutes with no clear communication. I’m not sure if the staff member went to check with the kitchen or was speaking to someone else. I also explained that my mother could not speak English, but the staff member seemed confused and did not ask for clarification — she remained silent instead, which made the interaction quite uncomfortable. Later, I received a WhatsApp message explaining that, due to the Deepavali dinner buffet, there was a surge in orders and the team was busy. I completely understand that festivals can lead to higher demand, but the overall service and communication could have been managed better. When I returned to the hotel, I placed another in-room dining order for myself and my family. Unfortunately, the food took about an hour to arrive. Even though we were repeatedly told it was “on the way,” it still took another 20 minutes. When the food finally arrived, it was warm but clearly had been sitting for a while. I fully understand that the staff were doing their best under pressure, and I don’t fault them personally. However, I believe the issue lies with management and poor manpower planning. Given that it was a long weekend and there was a buffet dinner event, additional staff or support from other departments could have been arranged to prevent such service delays and confusion. It’s a pity, because your hotel is lovely and well-maintained — but the dining experience left a negative impression. I hope the management will take this feedback seriously and review staffing and communication procedures during peak periods.
