The accommodation is very good. The rooms are clean and the air conditioning is cool. The staff provides good service. Booking for both the 2-person and 3-person rooms is good. The location of the accommodation is close to the MRT, making it convenient for travel.

Finding the hotel's location and signage can be a bit challenging both by car and on foot. However, this is somewhat expected for businesses with long-standing management styles from the 20th century. Hint: same building as China Airlines. The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The mattress, reminiscent of a 1970s waterbed, was quite soft, and the pillows lost their shape easily. FX Hotel is popular among budget-conscious travelers, especially those from Southeast Asia. Please note, weekend rates may be higher than expected given the hotel's offerings. The location is acceptable, though be prepared for some lengthy walks to reach local eateries, as opposed to places mainly catering to tourists. On the bright side, this could be a perfect opportunity to discover some authentic local cuisine, for those adventurous enough to venture out. However, it’s worth noting that many travelers tend to stick to familiar food options.

Stayed in triple room for 4 nights. The room is spacious, bed also comfortable. The hotel has washing machine & dryer at 15th floor. Can be used free of charge but have to prepare your own detergent. Location is also very ideal for free & easy travellers. 3 mins walk from Nanjing Fuxing MRT exit 1 & bus stop is right outside the hotel. Satisfied with the service from housekeeping. They are very prompt to clean the room everyday. Most of the days we went out for breakfast & when we were back to hotel within an hour or so, the room was made up. Will stay again if the hotel offers a good rate. I got quite a good deal for this booking. Thank you FX hotel for the good deal & wonderful stay.
Hotel stay was fine”
I stayed here and one other hotel in Taipei, due to a change in plans. This was the first place I stayed. I’d rate the experience middling fine. The hotel staff are wonderful and speak great English. The hotel lobby is located on the first floor of a large building and then the hotel is on the 11-15th floors. The hotel has separate elevators from the rest of the building, which is very convenient. The room is fine, but you can see some markings on the walls if you more than glance at them. The bed was a king size, which is the largest I’ve seen during my hotel stays thus far in Taiwan and Japan. The mattress was medium firm. My main issue is the wifi was very hit or miss in the room itself. I didn’t have a problem connecting from the lobby or the 15th floor business center, but the wifi only worked in my room on the 11th floor about half the time, meaning I frequently had to go to another floor if I needed internet. I also found the light switches in the room to be a bit hard to figure out. Even hitting both day and night at the same time, which I was told would turn off all the lights, didn’t actually do so. I ended up pulling my key card from the slot each night to turn off all the lights, but it also turns off the A/C if you need that (I’m generally cold so this wasn’t an issue for me). The A/C works well, but is audibly noticeable even on low and there’s no auto option for the fan to temporarily turn off until it needs to lower the temperature again. The bathroom was nice and the shower worked well. I booked an eco-room, which meant that no towels were provided. I paid a couple hundred extra NTD for one set of towels. I could not get the TV remote to work, except to turn the TV itself on or off. Given that I don’t speak Chinese and it happened to be on a Korean channel when I turned it on, I didn’t bother asking the hotel for assistance with troubleshooting the remote. I just changed the volume with the button on the TV. (There was also a button on the TV to change the channel, but that seemed tedious.) I did a load of laundry while there and it was nice they provide 2 washers and 2 dryers for complimentary use. When I was checking my laundry, there was always at least one machine empty. The hotel is in a great part of the city that makes it easy to get to a number of tourist attractions. Overall, I’d say this is a fine place to book if you don’t need consistent wifi access from your room.
