Beautiful hotel!”

I loved my stay at Gategaa Village. I chose it because the photos look beautiful and relaxing, and they were correct! I loved the aesthetics of this place more than almost any other hotel I've stayed in... I just kind of wanted to sit on my porch all day! The only downside was it was a little far from some of the Chiang Mai action, which matters if it's very hot. Additionally, it's not a big deal but the gym was a selling point to me, but it was pretty much unusable for most of the day because it isn't air conditioned, only a fan. If you are going at a cooler time of year, neither of these points would matter much.

I've been travelling in chiangmai for many times. Gategaa village gives one of the best experience for me and my family. With this affordable price, the hotel is much more than a value-for-money. Nice decoration all around, clean and comfy bed, plus small little things showing the well-thought design every here and there.. swimming pool with extra towel, gym room, parking space, nice and caring cooked breakfast, helpful and smiley staff (yes, english language for foreigners)...what more could we ask for... :) a full score for this newly-opened hotel. we will back here if possible. <3 ps. no sponsor, we just really like this place..

Definitely recommended ”

We stayed for 1 week and would absolutely recommend this hotel. The rooms itself are so nice and clean, spacious and with really big comfy beds. AC keeps it perfectly cool and the kitchen including fridge, microwave etc makes it easy for a quick meal or something like that. The staff is 100% helpful with anything you need or want to know, they also booked all our trips. The location is quiet and peaceful and within 5min by the taxi, Tuk Tuk or Songthaew you are in the night market / old town where you find anything you need from the most popular bars, restaurants, massages and markets from Chiang Mai! The breakfast is pretty simple but it has all you need! Thanks Gategaa

Fantastic Stay in a quiet residential street of Chiang Mai”

My family had a fantastic time at Gategaa Village and it was by far and away the best of our accommodation in Thailand. The rooms are clean and well decorated and the property as a whole sits on an attractive plot with lush greenery surrounding. The pool on the roof is the perfect spot to cool down and watch the sunset after a day of exploring. Breakfast is superb with a wide range of cold buffet options as well as a choice of either a hot Western or Asian option. The Thai desserts were to die for!! I would definitely return in a heartbeat.

A memorable experience in Chiang Mai ”

We spent 4 night here,and there were so many memorable things.Our room is on the 3F,and there is only one big room,so i was like we owned the whole floor! The room is clean and comfortable, the staff here are very friendly and helpful.The security guard help us carry two luggages up and down stairs,even if there is 6AM!So we are very thankful for all the things!If I go to Chiang Mai in the future,I will still choose Gategaa!

Excellent experience”

The hotel is perfect for money value, i were surprised for all services i got in this hotel with the money i paid. I had great 4 nights in Gategaa, nice room with comfortable bed, very clean, good smell. Facilities are new, modern designed. I love the swimming pool on the rooftop so much, small but really relaxing. Staffs are super friendly and helpful !!! In general, nothing to complain here. Gategaa is one of the best hotel experience for me so far !

Lovely hotel in chiangmai”

I had a great time at Gategaa. The room was very well designed and had a unique character. I love the decoration of the arts within the hotel. They seemed to be from local artists which were not cliche or “crafty”. Their breakfast was great too! The only thing is the noise level. Other than that, my experience there was great and I would be happy to return to Gategaa again! :)

Feels like a home away from home”

Stayed several nights at the hotel, during our motorbike trip Mao Hon son & a a visit to Chiang Rai, as we where leaving and come back 3 times we had different rooms at each stay. All of them nicely designed, and with comfy furnitures and a bed that you not want to get out from. Nice breakfast and a very nice and friendly staff that always welcomes you with af smile. The hotel have bicycles that you can borrow for a trip around Chiang mai, on bicycle its only 5 min to town center & the famous night market. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone why like a nice and friendly atmosphere, we will definitelly return at out next stay in Chiang Mai.

Extremely nice stay!”

Had a wonderful stay at Gategaa Village. The room was spacious w super comfortable bed. The breakfast was fabulous with both western & Thai option to choose from. Although the location is a bit off but it didn’t matter to me as Grab was super convenient.

Gategaa Village a pleasant refuge from the bustle of Chiang Mai”

We stayed at Gategaa village from 24/12/2018-29/12/2018 and then again on 1/1/2019. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and the pool on the roof has pleasant views of the surrounding area. The staff tried as best to accommodate all our requests and there were only minor struggles with miscommunication due to language barriers. The breakfast was simple, but pleasant and there was more than enough food provided at the buffet for all of the guests. We were quite pleased with the rooms except for the bath in the Studio Suite which did not have acceptably hot water and as it is outside, this is a letdown. The location is quiet and tucked away behind the Ping riverside restaurant strip, but this does necessitate some direction giving to any potential tuk-tuk rides home from the markets and sites in the old town. Most sites are easily in walking distance of 1.5-2.5km and make for a pleasant morning walk.

Hideaway across the Ping”

Lovely quiet and elegant place. Good breakfast..clean sheets and friendly helpful staff. Awesome rooftop pool. Rooms well appointed. Good value too. Easy to walk to cool local spots and a great break from the hustle bustle Improvement could be made to showers. Hard to get warm shower consistently...bad angle and flow...not a huge deduction...just a quibble. Overall we would definitely stay again at Gategaa...

A beautiful village!!”

This is an amazing new boutique hotel! You can tell a lot of thought and attention went into the details. The art, artifacts and each individual room decor give pause to just appreciate and soak in the ambiance of it all. The practical essential things needed for a comfortable stay are also attended to. In room kitchenette, efficient aircon & Wifi, laptop size safe, the most luxurious bed & linens, a rain & nice jet shower, a balcony and a large screen TV. Along with this come wonderful amenties like enviro friendly shampoo & shower gel, a refreshing roof top swimming pool, coin operated washer & dryer and a sumptuous breakfast. I had some dietary restrictions that were met with many other choices. And to top all this off there are the staff that work together like a village to make sure, with smiles, that all is going well with your stay. I spent 10 days on my first visit and will return again for another 4 days. I've been to Thailand many times and this hotel is memorable!!

Very quiet and nicely decor hotel”

We certainly enjoyed our stay in Gategaa Village. We were greeted by friendly staff and the whole feel of the hotel is very soothing and quiet. The only the is that the room has a lot of mosquitos and luckily the hotel provides the nec stuffs to fight mozzies.

Best boutique hotel”

Beautiful room!!! Lovely bathroom. We very much enjoyed the Netflix in the room - so much so we couldn’t leave! Very soft and comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast!! Highly recommended and would come back to Chiang mai just for this hotel!!

stylish and modern”

what I love about thisbplace is that they provide things that other hotels do not have. Options like free bikecycle to ride, made to order breakfast, coins laundry and dryer, netflix button from a remote control, spacious room size...etc. I'm glad I've found this cozy place. I enjor every bit of my stay. Walking to downtown is a breeze from the hotel location. Even at night, it is very safe. For this price, it is a DEAL!

Highly recommend place to stay in Chiang Mai. The hotel is very nicely decorated. The staff is very nice and helpful. Close walk to the river where you can enjoy good restaurants, nice coffee places and some nice shops. 15 min away from the old town (walking slowly). Great place if you want to stay in less tourist area. I just wish that coffee was better, but I will recommend it to everyone and stay there if return to Chiang Mai in future.

Cosy hotel!”

Cosy hotel with lovely design and tasteful decorations in Chiang Mai. Suite room is clean, large, well-lit and comfortable. Swimming pool on the top floor and a small gym are bonus. Only con is that the internet speed is a bit slow

Love the design”

Not many ships r around the hotel but in a way it's actually quite good because it's quiet. We use bike and motorcycle to find our way so we don't have any problems with not close to shops. Breakfast is High quay, they have Thai and English menus (Thai food changes every day) and it's made to order. We saw ppl complaining about variety, we quite like it keep it simple. Overall it's good service and big room with slightly higher price. Staff is really friendly and Internet was really fast. :)
