Nice place, we loved it!”

we just loved it in this place because it has a really good price performance ratio...and if you're not a snob who needs fancy stuff like a jacuzzi etc. you'll probably like it too. the rooms are nice, new and equipped with tv, ac and free wifi. we have spent our nights in two different rooms and both were nice, comfortable and clean. since the gord chiangmai is located in the center of the city you have only a short walking distance to many sightseeing spots (e.g. the sunday night market is only a 7 minutes walk away). a big plus are also the bikes which you can rent for free to explore the city and if you want you can even rent a motorbike for little money. also the staff of the gord chiangmai is really nice and helpful. the breakfast is served in the cafe next to the hotel and you can choose between 4 different meals. we found it really delicious. we just loved our stay in this place and we would reommend it to all of our friends. at our next visit in chiangmai we'll for sure book the gord chiangmai again.

The best hotel in Chiang Mai ”

I had stayed in 4 different hotels in Chiang Mai and so far Gord Chiangmai is the best. It provides free bicycle that allows us to roam around the old city. Besides that, the services provided by the reception was superb and the breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay in Gord Chiangmai and I highly recommended to everyone who wish to stay in the heart of the old city. It is near to all the attractions such as Saturday and Sunday night market, Wat Chandi Luang etc.

Wonderful week at Gord Chiangmai”

Stayed one full week at Gord Chiangmai. Loved the comfortable bed, big shower/amenities. Used a free bicycle everyday. The personnel are really friendly and the location is perfect, within the city walls/moat. Breakfast next door in the Good Morning Chiang Mai restaurant was always hot/fresh with good coffee. I think this is an excellent deal. Excellent wifi in my room. Felt safe/secure and was kept very clean. Take off your shoes before entering :-)

Our family stayed at Gord Chiang Mai and loved the hotel vibe. Front desk and breakfast staff were amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was top notch with a choice of 6 set menu choices ranging from eggs, pancakes, fruit and yogurt, Asian fare. There were snack and soft drink available free in the room too. Our room was spacious, clean with a industrial/minimalist bohemian vibe with a balcony that looked out to the mountains. The public spaces were decorated with lots of greenery, hanging plants and best of all, Koi fish ponds. A real relaxing treat in the middle of the old town . I’d definitely recommend Gord Chiang Mai if visiting Thailand. Great value for money.

The staff was quite smiling and always helpful. Had good support for taxi/car booking for sight seeing and good help for direction and places to visit. At the time of check in, the room was not available as per booking, but then reception personnel understood the situation and made available another room in same price. Overall the best location as old city and great value for money. For facilities point of view it would be better if hot water kettle inside room. Though it was available at common kitchen area. We will surely recommend it and will visit again Gord Chiang Mai.

Sleek Design”

i have nothing but positive things to say about our stay at gord chiangmai. the hotel is open air with the exception of rooms, which are air conditioned. the design in modern, yet the wood details make the spaces feel welcoming and fits into the landscape. our room was on the third floor and had a beatiful view of the doi suthep. the staff was friendly and ordered us taxis when we wanted to venture out of the city or transfer to the airport. the breakfast place next door was quaint and the coffee was delicious. overall, great value for the price. the bars and night life are about a 10 to 15 minute walk, but the quiet was nice for us. also walkable to the saturday and sunday markets.

Very nice stay”

First time in Chiang Mai - only 2 days. Loved the feel and decor of Gord. Breakfast was also very good and included with room. Perfect location in old city to explore. Rented a scooter for one day - great idea. Drove around entire old city - so many temples to see. Street food is delicious and so cheap. Night Bazaar is fun but pricey - Chatuchak market in Bangkok was cheaper. Absolutely loved Chiang Mai. Will come again!

Nice facilities and quiet location”

we booked a 2-floors connecting room which is lagre and comfortable enough for 4 people. Staff there are quite helpful, that kindly assisted with our luggage up & down, Tutu Booking, post card sending & etc. The location of this Guest House is not in the center of the old city and a little away from the main road. Fortunly, there are a group of bikes provided by the Guest House for free. If you wanna enjoy a personal & quite accommdation environment, Gord Chiangmai will be a very good choice.

Nice, Cosy and Value for money”

We are satisfied with our stay at the Gord Chiangmai. We booked 2 superior rooms and 1 duplex room. The only 2 things we feel disappointed were the water tap at the duplex room was annoyed us maybe due to the pressure of the water too strong. The noise from the water tap disturb us few times during mid night. The second issue was the door of the bathroom was not able to lock. We have informed the staff to fix it, but they didn't do so. Overall we are happy to stay at Gord Chiangmai of its fantastic location. The famous Saturday and Sunday market is nearby, it is about 10 minutes by walk. We enjoy a lot of hawker food and shopping at the night market. We will come back again.

Cute hotel on a quiet street”

the gord chiangmai was in a great location, walking distance to many area attractions (the sunday walking market and several temples). it was clean and attractive, especially for the price range. the staff was very helpful, calling taxis when necessary, making restaurant recommendations, and holding our luggage after check out when we wanted to go sightseeing. they also arranged an excellent cooking class for us on short notice. the only minuses was that there was no safe in the room and the breakfast, which was quite good, did not start until 8 am, a little late for most sightseeing plans.

Very Clean and Convinient”

I had a great stay at Gord Chiangmai. They have free bicycles you can use. We opted for scooters which cost 200 bht a day which is like 6 usd! The hotel is in the middle of old chiang mai very close to temples, restaurants and shops.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Gord Chiang Mai. I was very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They helped me booked a taxi driver for an all day city tour. There is also a cute restaurant next door that provides delicous breakfast. If you are seeking a quiet location, this is great fro you. But if your want to be in the city center, this is not for you. It is somewhat far away from the main shopping city center. And can also be difficult for taxi drivers to find. Also the restaurant next door closes in the afternoon, so after that finding food to snack on can be difficult, better yet impossible. But overall I enjoyed my stay here very much.

Could have stayed for weeks”

the staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean and modern, and the location was fairly convenient -- although you should always travel with one of the hotel maps from the front desk. locating gord chiangmai was a challenge for *every* taxi we took. the restaurant next door had the same high level of service and offered both local and western food. beds in thailand seem to be very firm, but their mattresses were a bit more comfortable than other locations we stayed at in thailand.

Exceptional”

It was incredible my experience in being guest from The Gord Chiangmai. I no have complaints but just compliments. The staff is really courteous, kind and polite and available to support us anytime. The structure of the hotel is really cute, harmonic and around midst of nature and the rooms are really clean and also comfortable beds. The location is really convenient close from the downtown, temples and restaurants . I would back thousand an thousands of times. It was memorable.

A gem in old town”

We were greeted by smiling staff next to a small fish pond. It was love at first sight. The four of us had two rooms on the ground floor. They were clean, spacious and the wood floor outside gives a feeling of an extra porch. The self serviced kitchen and tables at second floor is a great place to chill out and the third floor is even cooler with mats on the flloor. The wat on the left hand side of the hotel is quiet and nice. The market near Chiang Mai gate is within 10 minutes walk. Gord provides bikes for free.

Nice Place in the heart of Old Chiang Mai”

We stayed here for 3 nights in the family suite. We were traveling with 3 teenage girls. The hotel reception was very kind and accommodating when we arrived +1 more than our initial reservation was for (daughter convinced us to bring her friend :). The Gord is located in a cool part of town, not far to walk to markets and restaurants. Looks a bit like a treehouse! Breakfast was good and even the girls ate...tasty pancakes and fresh fruit. Facility was clean and front desk was polite and professional. I would stay here again if we ever return to Chiang Mai.

Comfy and Zen - Great little hotel in old city”

We have really enjoyed our stay at Gord Chiang Mai. The neighbourhood is quiet, the hotel is lovely and the staff welcomes you with a smile. Next door, you get a healthy free breakfast at the Good Morning Chiang Mai Cafe which has a truly wonderful garden. Will go there again when I return to Chiang Mai.

The most lovely guest house”

We felt sad on the day we left. Its thebest guest house we ever stayed. Ghe nice house looking, the good size room. Staff are very friendly and really helpful and thoughtful. You can get free bike to go through Chiang mai. Its wonderful. We rellly enjoyed the stay and if we visit chiang mai again, we will definitely staying in gord chiang mai.

Very comfortable hotel”

Pros : Though the look from outside is quite small but when we enter the room it we were stunning of how big and comfortable it is. The decoration was mixed between old and new stuff with I think they good combination. Staff is very helpful and hotel location is really close to most important temples in City of Chiang Mai. Cons : as built with loft style so the wall is thin so you could hear some voice from room above especially in the toilet. But it is no big deal because we rarely heard anything if the toilet door was closed.
