I went to Danang for my summer vacation last August. I stayed in the city for two days and in Hoi An for two days. I was more satisfied with the Hoi An Belle Maison than the luxury resort I stayed in Danang. The staff spoke English well and provided excellent guidance. The location was also great. If my children ate Vietnamese food incorrectly, there was a Korean restaurant called Yoon's Kitchen nearby, and it was close to the Old Town. There were local spas and nail shops near the resort, so I didn't have to make reservations from Korea and could use them on foot without pick-up and drop-off. It was cheaper and friendlier. It was much better quality than the famous spa I booked in Korea. I left my children at a local spa they chose themselves and my husband and I went to the night market. There was a nearby supermarket, so it was convenient to buy bottled water, drinks, snacks, and ramen. The transportation was convenient. I want to go back and miss it. I was worried about the breakfast being insufficient, but the fruit and bakery were delicious. The coffee was also very good. My children took some seaweed and brought it to eat with rice, and it was okay because the breakfast wasn't too heavy. They took care of the garden and building maintenance every day, which gave me a lot of trust, and the reception staff were all friendly and nice.

The location is great. There are multiple swimming pools and a river flowing, making the scenery beautiful. The resort overall is good. It would be even better if there were staff who could speak Korean. It's better to wear a swimsuit in the room and come down to the pool. It would have been better if there was prior notice about this. There were not enough sunbeds, which was disappointing, but there are deep parts of the pool, so children need to be careful, but I enjoyed it. The water temperature in the pool is appropriate. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast is available until 10 am, which is convenient. Old Town, Night Market, and Hoi An Market are nearby, so it's good for walking and sightseeing. However, there is one door in the room that seems to connect to the next room, and the sound of people talking in the next room and children crying was too loud. Soundproofing needs to be improved. Everything was good, but the noise was very uncomfortable. I want to visit again, but if the soundproofing is not resolved, I will have to reconsider.

We had a great stay with a family of 5 in a connecting room which allowed the kids and us to have their own space. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the daily housekeeping services! They were really good throughout our 1 week stay! The downfall for the room was in requesting quiet room on highest floor - we were on 2nd floor which wasn't bad as you could not hear outside noise, just the upstairs. We might have had the unfortunate experience of being under the noisiest guests who did not care about other guests as they were moving furniture, stamping/running throughout the day and into the night. Besides this, everything in the room was excellent! The facilities were kept exceptionally well and the experience was great. We enjoyed the pool every day, buffet breakfast was good, and we received assistance a few times from reception/guest services to book things (no problems!) and very happy with this. There was quite a bit of issues with the swimming pool in the main pool and the rooftop pool where the "lifeguards" didn't know how to respond to kids knowing how to swim and it being unsafe! Argh... We were bothered every day with this and it was quite annoying. We have a 7y/o, 4y/o and 2y/o. Of course our 2y/o cannot adequately swim on her own but she is close! But our 4 and 7y/o can swim like fish with no support. All the other children, including older children and even adults (mostly Asian) were using lifevests or float devices. Our children are from Australia and have swim lessons from 1y/o, they can swim from one side of the pool to the other in the deep end by themselves but this was not normal so it was problematic and we were "watched" every single time we went into the pool. Not that enjoyable. The swim up bar and staff around the pool also commented on the kids when we were going to order them drinks (mocktails/smoothies and they were excited so this really turned us off. We would have spent a lot more money at the resort if they were more welcoming/friendly so I guess they missed out as we only ordered food/drinks twice out of our entire stay. Bel Marina has a resort feel and in many ways it is but it is not like Fiji or Thailand from my experience especially with young children. We saw the workers playing/being extra accommodating to Caucasian (white) children and bringing them toys from the playground and interacting with them but not with the Asian children. My kids are half Asian and half European but did not receive this treatment. We asked for a ball once and got yelled at but later in the stay the ball was provided. Mixed review from me. Room for improvements but a lot of plusses nonetheless so still gets 4 star review. :)
