“A satisfying stay with great service from the staff.”
We stayed for several nights with our 5-year-old child. The staff understood our child's desire to interact at the front desk and restaurant and provided service with a focus on the child, making eye contact and engaging with them. Thanks to this, our child had various experiences and seemed to have a lot of fun. Additionally, since the restaurant was a bit chilly, when we thought about going back to our room to get a jacket, they kindly lent us a blanket and continued to prepare a blanket for us every day, which we greatly appreciated. From the front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone provided warm, considerate service and communication, making us feel like it was truly a reflection of what hospitality should be in this increasingly mechanized world. We stayed with a breakfast plan, and since our child shared our bed, we only had one breakfast included, but it was filling enough for both of us. It was enjoyable to choose from four different types of breakfast until the previous day, and the Western-style dishes and curry came with fruits for dessert. We wanted to try the Inaniwa udon set, but since it was cold noodles for summer, the cold-natured parent-child duo gave up on that option. All the sets we had tasted great. We also made use of the comic room and microwave. The comic books were available for 24 hours, and as long as we returned them to their original spots before check-out, we could enjoy them leisurely in our room. There was a basket available for carrying comic books back to the room, which was convenient. The air conditioning in our room was an older model, and we couldn't make fine adjustments, but considering the age of the building, it was reasonable. It was very helpful that we were able to get a box at the front desk to ship our luggage before check-out. Our child said, “I don’t want to go home,” and "I want to stay at Honjo Grand Hotel next time," which shows how fulfilling our stay was.
