Its right next to the sea, regretted not asking for a sea view room. The sunsets are so beautiful. The jacuzzi is lovely, staff are helpful and polite. I found many delightful cafes and shops as I walked from the hotel to the town. If you are not keen on walking, take the bus. The bus stop connecting to the Gare de Menton is steps away. Enjoyed the spacious room very much!
Nice but small room directly on the promenade in Menton with a low ceiling. Clean and modern bathroom, spacious enough. Good beddings, minimalist furniture and lights but without a real desk (only about 30-40cm depth with a TV over it). Unfortunately people from the street can see into the first level rooms as there is no screening on the balcony and it is a low first level. Old jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace with sunlounges, clean and hot but not really providing anything else than some bubbling (no pressure in the jets). Underground parking is available for an additional 17Euros a day and is very small (typical of the area).
When we checked in, the female receptionist had a very bad attitude. We checked in early, but we were assigned a room on the 1st floor. We mentioned that the 1st floor would be noisy and asked if we could be moved to a higher floor, but she directly refused. Later, when we wanted to ask her some questions about other hotel facilities, she told us to check the hotel website directly, with a very impatient attitude. I feel that this female receptionist is discriminating against Asians, and we felt very uncomfortable.
I booked immediately after seeing the jacuzzi photos in the hotel, and I was 200% satisfied. When you open the window of the terrace, you get an ocean view that feels like you're floating above the sea, delicious breakfast, and a warm jacuzzi—it's outstanding. It felt like all the fatigue accumulated over the week melted away. The quality of the bed and towels in the room was also good, and it's a hotel I want to visit again someday. If you go to Maktong, I definitely recommend this hotel!!

We had an o ran view room, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, this is the room to pick! Fantastic views with a balcony (although as non smokers it was annoying to have an evening drink and have to smoke as well from the neighbours) Nice room, looks newly renovated. Breakfast was the same each day but had some nice hot and cold choices. Staff were lovely but the room attendants were stand offish and really did a very quick job each day. A little out of the action, so you will have to walk but there are nearby options. Wasn’t able to check in too 3pm, so don’t get there early unless you want to wander the streets (they did store our luggage).
