Hotels near Ao Nang Beach

We have visited Krabi many times before but always stayed in hotels at the lovely Railey beach. This is the first time that we have stayed in Ao Nang beach and we love it! Ofcoz we missed waking up in the morning and have breakfast with the superb view that Railey had to offer. However, we have found that the restaurants around this area are much better and cheaper. Nightlife is much much better. There is a Starbucks just across the street, as well many many convenient store and message places. The room cost is also much lower than that of Railey's, and MUCH CLEANER as well. Staffs are super nice and helpful. Breakfast taste great also. And whenever you wanna go to Railey, there is only 5 minutes walk to the boat taxi, pay 200B for return ticket, and it only takes about 10min to get to Railey. Will definitely come back to this hotel soon.

First impression - you cannot ask for a better combination of sea and mountain because this hotel was majestically situated right between the cliff and a fine, private beach. The environmentally friendly floating pontoon was fun to walk on. The staff was there to greet us with Thai smiles and hospitality. I have been to many hotels around Thailand and I must say that the standard of the services and manner of the staff here is exceptional. They are pleasantly polite and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and modern and it had a great view of the ocean - a magnificent view at sunset. All in all a memorable, and very special first impression. Traveling to Ao Nang - the monkey trial was dangerously exciting. It takes 15 minutes to cross that small hill to Ao Nang. It is an adventure but really not for elderly people or those with knee problems. DO BRING A TORCH (and insect repellent) - u will need it even if there are lights along the way. Another option is to wait for the low tide and walk across across the beach to Ao Nang - this is an easier option, but again, a torch is a must. We were walking across a knee-level sea water at 7pm; it was very dark and we've never been scared before in our lives! but this adds to the fun tough. Perhaps for those who are less adventurous, you may want to take the hotel shuttle speedboat to Ao Nopparatana and take a 10-min taxi-ride to Ao Nang. On the way back, you can go back to Ao Nopparatana and get the hotel's shuttle speedboat back - do check the schedule of the boat and book in advance. Things to do - you should visit the 4 islands tour, you can buy it either from the hotel (which is understandably more expensive) or you can go to Ao Nang where there are lots of travel agents to choose (between 800-1500 baht). There are both private and group one-day trip you can buy and the price varies accordingly. The price also depends on the type of boats u want - a long tail boat is generally less expensive than a speedboat.

i stayed in glow ao nang krabi for three days. The location of hotel is great, not far from ao nang beach and ao nang center point. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even give you one complimentary drink per customer. This hotel seems to be newly constructed with great interiors, great rooms, great lighting and awesome bathroom. The breakfast in morning(if you opted it during booking) is great and serves different varieties of food. pool area is great. If you are travelling with kids then this is the place to stay, there is a saperate dedicated area where you can chill with your kids. To sum up if you are visiting ao nang book this hotel without any hesitation. i am gonna book this hotel again when i visit krabi.

Despite being conveniently located near the beautiful Ao Nang Beach, we found ourselves spending most of our time floating around the clean and aesthetically pleasing pool area at the Ao Nang Orchid Resort. The backdrop of mountainous terrain and lush greenery supported an amazing relaxing and enjoyable stay. This was highlighted by an amazing New Years where we witnessed a cloud of lanterns bedazzle the sky while fire works exploded in variant colors. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. If you want a quiet, clean, and relaxing experience, Ao Nang Orchid Resort is the place to go. Pros: Beautiful scenery, refreshing pool, good breakfast, comfortable rooms, close proximity to beach and excellent restaurants. Cons: Poor Wifi, a bit spendy for a room (but worth it)

Travelled in a group of 4 and booked 2 rooms from 14/8 to 17/8. Had a very pleasant welcome from Noolek and Noola who served us welcome drinks and introduced the hotel facilities. They even showed us up to our rooms. Our spacious rooms came with a king-sized bed & single bed and a balcony which faces the main road to Ao Nang Beach. They even provide 2 beach towels, 2 beach mats in a carry bag and 2 umbrellas in the rooms. Coffee, tea, mineral water, soft drinks, juice and a small packet of nuts (in the minibar) are complimentary and replenished daily. Buffet breakfast that was included in our room rates was simple yet widespread with an assortment of juices, fruits, salads, cold cuts, breads, cereals, international choices of main course, eggs station and variety of teas and coffees. As this hotel is still quite new, the bed is so comfortable, bed linen is crisp & white and bath towels are thick & fluffy. Rooms are cleaned daily and corridors are mopped twice daily. The location of this hotel is ideal. Ao Nang beach is a pleasant 15 minute walk away with lots of eateries, 7-11s, massage and shopping around it's vicinity. We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Marina and will be back for another visit soon.

I booked the hotel at the very last minute, 2 days prior to my trip. And I didn’t even regret my choice at all! Pros: Location was good! It’s just by the main road, not those by the alley or you have to walk uphill. It’s really big, you can’t miss it out! 5-10 mins walk to Ao Nang beach. 7eleven, McDonald’s, Starbucks, money changer & atm all very nearby! Very convenient for a solo traveller. Hotel was very clean. Housekeeping will even mop your room floor daily. Swimming pool was nice, with quite a number of sun beds to sun tan. Breakfast spread was good. Pretty decent but so much better than certain hotels I’ve been to. Cons: The aircon was faulty during one of the days. It suddenly got really warm and I had to call up for them to fix the aircon in my room. Staffs speaks very basic English and some times they don’t even understand. Especially the lady at the egg station. She got my order wrongly twice. However, their doorman was always very friendly and helpful.

Me and my wife stayed in the villa for four nights and it was the best experience ever. Very near to the mosque, very easy to find Halal food near the hotel, the Ao Nang muslim street night market opens everyday makes it easy for us to have a night walk and do some shopping there after we had an activity on the day. However, if you are a Muslim, it is advisable not to pay for breakfast if you want to stay in this hotel, because the kitchen is NOT Halal. We had to take our breakfast outside of the hotel and only have fruits and eggs at the hotel Sea Pier restaurant. If you want to do some ironing, you do not need to go outside as they will send you an iron together with the ironboard for your easy use in your hotel room. The deluxe room was pretty too! We stayed only for one night due to there was no available villa room when we arrived, they send us a complimentary fruit platter as an apology. So nice of them they even want to give us free dinner, but due to non halal kitchen, we rejected and only accept the fruits. Overall, it was a nice stay, very friendly staff, highly recommended. And it wasnt so far to go to Ao Nang beach, just a 10mins walk to the beach. We probably going to stay here again if we have the chance.

Our trip to Krabi was a spontaneous idea but we were so glad we chose to stay at the Kokotel Krabi Ao Nang. The rooms were cleaned and the hotel was centrally located. Only a few minute walk to Ao Nang Beach and at the center of all the activities and nightlife, etc. I traveled with a friend and my brother and this was the only place where we got three separate beds. The staff was really nice and one staff even called in to get us a deal on a tour we were thinking about it. All staff were really accommodating and willing to check up on our tour pick-ups (especially when some of them were late). The free breakfast was such a good idea. Saved us a lot of money and allowed us to eat anything we wanted for lunch and dinner. Room maintenance was also very good and we felt safe leaving valuables in our room and in the safe. The water was a bit weird (changed quickly from hot to cold, vice versa) but after four days of no shower in Laos' countryside we were glad for any hot water.

We were here from 3rd May to 6th Mayy 2016 and we booked a superior room. Location wise, it was very near to the Ao Nang beach area, just a 5 mins walk to the beachfront. For convenience, there is a 7 eleven store opposite the road from the hotel where we buy food and drinks whenever we don't feel like eating out. The room decor is clean, neat and simple. There is a spa on the top floor where we can try the jacuzzi at a cheap rate. The hotel is located on the stretch of road before turning into the Ao Nang beachfront. At night, it is quiet for a good night sleep as it was away from the hub center of the beach. Breakfast is a small spread of Asian Thai and western breakfast, where the Asian food is changed daily. The staffs attended to our queries and needs and overall i would recommend to stay here.

This must be one of the best hotels in Ao Nang. This is my first time here in Ao Nang and I swear if I were to go back to Ao Nang, I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Staffs were very attentive and very friendly. One of the staffs even came to our room to talk to us about attractions in Ao Nang when we mentioned that we have yet to plan anything for our trip in the front office. A very special thanks to Ella as well as she is very friendly and she will come and talk to you every morning during breakfast. Location wise, this hotel is very strategic. Opposite the hotel, there are bars, pharmacy, restaurants and even tailor shops! Below the hotel, there is a McDonalds. So if you're hungry and you prefer burgers for supper, this hotel is definitely the hotel you would want to stay in. There is only one thing that made us pretty sad which is the mosquitos in the room but what the heck, the town itself is filled with mosquitos as we were bugged by mosquitos as well when we were doing massage in an air conditioned room in some massage parlour. Therefore there is nothing to blame on this hotel. Stayed May 2013, traveled as a couple

We had a great stay at Centara Phu Pano (Centara). The room was very clean and appeared to have been renovated recently. The hotel was very spacious, had some of the best views from our room’s balcony. It also offered great amenities such as a beautiful pool with a very picturesque view and a great gym that housed treadmills, ellipticals and a good variety of weight lifting machines and weights. Of the eight places we stayed in Thailand, this was our favourite. It was spacious, clean, close in proximity to bike rentals, restaurants and a 5 minute scooter ride to Ao Nang beach. We also got it for a very reasonable price ($37 CDN/night), so for us it checked all the boxes.

Located at the begining of Noppathara beach, where has both moutain and beach. Lovely, tiny and peaceful place. Especially, they have pool and restaurant in a small and romantic yard which is near a river, a lot of bird and squirrel. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Facilities is ok. It takes 10 - 15 minutes to walk to more crowded place (opposite Ao Nang beach). If you need not crowded place for real relaxing, choose Ao Nang All season.

Really nice and decently priced hotel that has a great location in Ao Nang - just a stone's throw from the beach where you take the long tail boats to West Railay (beautiful beach) at 100 THB per person each way. Also an easy 10-minute walk (or easy, 40 THB "taxi" ride) to Ao Nang beach and the Walking Street with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff was kind, efficient (except for a little problem with running my credit card during the check out because of an issue with their machine) and attentive. The pool was great, especially the swim-up bar, as was the spa where I had a lovely facial. Only gripes would be with the Western food in the restaurant (pizza and lasagna were both sub-par...Thai food much better) and the musky smell in the room because of the AC (this seems to be a common problem with hotels in Thailand)...they could provide some room spray.

Overall, apple of a day hotel is more than satisfactory. Hotel is clean, staffs are helpful, location is great and many restaurant near by, walking distance to ao nang beach. Hotel buffet is not many to choose but still ok. Like the juice bar so much, it's a way of starting new day with healthy life style. Next time, if I visit krabi will stay again. Instead of staying at hotel at railay beach area, I will stay here and just go day visit to railay beach. Railay beach hotel are not worth money and not good food around that area though the beach is nicer there. There is a swiss cottage beach trip package seller near apple a day resort, they offer the best beach package, cheaper by 400-500 bhatts than other tour company. We booked and use airport transfer from there 150bhatts per person. It is cheap and affordable when taxi charge 600 bhatts. Overall location, cleanliness and food wise, apple a day is the best choice.

This is my most favorite place from my thailand Trip! Even though it was a dorm, it had all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. Just a few minutes away from the Ao Nang beach, very close to shops and restaurants in Ao Nang area. The cleanliness was superb, beds were cozy and there were large cabinets were you can put your luggage. The lobby has nice seating arrangement, where you can chill with a cup of coffee/hot chocolate and snacks (both are complementary). I would love to go back again! However, don't book day trips or ferry from them, the hotel staff is a bit rigid on the price, and they are quite overpriced. There are many shops just outside the hotel, where you can book day trips/ferry at a reasonable price.

We really enjoyed our stay at Green View Village, and would gladly stay here again. Before booking, we found most hotels on the beach in Ao Nang were VERY expensive, out of our price range. But as we were mostly planning on doing day trips to places like Railay Beach and the Hong Islands, we didn't really plan on hanging out on the beach in Ao Nang anyway. So we chose beautiful mountain/garden scenery instead of beach scenery, and this hotel really was beautiful! The pool area was gorgeous, surrounded by lush vegetation and with a stunning view of the limestone cliffs! We each stayed in our own individual 'huts' (very nice, not rustic), which added atmosphere, and the dining area was over a pond surrounded by vegetation again. (Just bring mosquito repellent!) So the resort itself was lovely, and small and homey feeling. The resort is about 2 miles from the beach, down a slight slope. You can walk it, would just take maybe 30 minutes, but the hotel also provided a free transport on the hour, which took 5 minutes. If you wanted a ride back from the beach to the hotel, you just had to tell the hotel desk (and driver) in advance, and set a time. We did this and it worked smoothly. We also booked a pick-up from the Krabi airport to the hotel, which was worth the price for our group of 6 (just getting a taxi from the airport would have actually been more expensive). I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We arrived at the Sala Talay at about 10.30 and although the check-in time was noon, they gave us our room immediately. We'd booked a Grand View room but there were none free so they upgraded us to a Mangrove Suite which was nice but unfortunately had no view of the sea (the main reason we'd opted for the Grand View room!). We were shifted to a grand view room the next day though and it was great. Rooms were great, spacious and had very comfortable beds. The Grand View room had a lovely balcony with a view of the sea and each room had its own sun loungers in case you didn't want to go down to the pool. The staff were very polite and helpful and made us feel very comfortable at all times. Breakfast was a good spread with eggs made to order, sausages, toast, cereal, muffins plus Thai food and the fruits were simply delicious, especially the pineapples! The spa wasn't very good either - the massage we had there was fairly expensive when compared to the other places in Ao Nang and it wasn't as good. I'd recommend going to the Ao Nang Sunset Hotel especially for their After Beach Massage if you've had a day in the sun! Food at the restaurant was ok; for seafood, I'd suggest going down the road about 100 metres towards Ao Nang to Wang Sai which was very good. The location was the most outstanding part of the hotel for me - right across from the beach and at the end of the Ao Nang strip, almost at Nopparat Thara in fact, so it's very quiet yet not more than a ten minute walk to the restaurants and shops. In all, I was really happy with the Sala Talay and would probably stay here the next time I came to Ao Nang.

The hotel is away from the main strip of Ao Nang beach but it’s not too far of a walk. There are plenty of restaurants shops etc in the area. It’s also quiet for sleeping. So over all we were happy with the area. The hotel only opened in 2016 and it is still fresh and clean. The staff were incredible. Nothing was too much and any query was met with polite efficient and friendly service. They felt like friends. Our room was very spacious. Bright. Spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was great too with a good shower. The room also had a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, umbrellas, beach mat and bag, robes and slippers! Fantastic. The baby crib provided was super! The pool was lovely with a little kids pool too. Breakfast wasn’t included in our room, one morning we had breakfast at the hotel, it was very expensive for what you get. Far better available in the restaurants just outside. Would stay here again no problem if we returned to Ao Nang

Let's discuss what the Mercure doesn't have...a large pool, one to laze the day away. Instead, they have collection of smaller pools that mostly cater to the ground floor rooms that one can drop straight into the blue. Of course you can always take advantage of the deck chairs and bar drinks but the functionality of the hotel begs you to go and explore Krabi. Without the luxury of a large pool to sit around, we were forced to get out and see the sights, and we did with wild abandon. One day was spent at the Railey beach whilst another was a day trip to Phi Phi island. We even managed to go shooting at the dilapidated range just outside Ao Nang and a fantastic time zip lining at tree tops adventure park. The Mercure is conveniently based a few minutes away from the hustle of Ao Nang beach, and it meant we were able to nice walks each day to the beach road and surrounding areas. There's also the best seafood restaurant a 40 baht tuk tuk away on Noppararat beach called Krua Thara, simply fantastic seafood at half the price of the beach front establishments. With the deal obtained from Agoda.com for under US$35 per night (including breakfast) we really couldn't go wrong, but even with this bargain nugget we were duly impressed with how the mercure sets a standard higher than any other 'value' chain. The care and attention of events, how everything is priced including taxes and service charge, the well kept gym, the polite staff where even the room cleaning was better than a five star hotel. On my birthday I even received a totally unexpected surprise in my room with a delicious chocolate cake! Well played Mercure for leaving us rejuvenated and extremely happy after five great days.

Upon check in, we were greeted with an herbal drink and cool towels. Rooms were scented with essential oils and there was a plate of fresh fruits, banana chips and a stocked fridge with bottled water, apple juice and coconut water. Beds, linens, robes and towels are all brand new! There is a complimentary beach bag with beach towels, short and skirt ready to go, as well as, 2 umbrellas. The kids loved the jetted pool and the lounge was perfect for the days we had take out for lunch and dinner. LaRio is just off the main strip but they offer complimentary shuttle to Ao Nang beach. We walked there most days since it’s a nice 15 minutes walk. Service was personable and the whole team, from the GM to the front reception and room attendants, go above and beyond to ensure that we were well cared for in every capacity. We highly recommend this family owned and operated hotel. They offer 5 star service and amenities at a 3 star price tag!

We booked the double room with an extra bed but once we got there we got upgraded to a suite !! It was an L shaped room with 2 super single beds and 1 single bed, equipped with shower and jacuzzi / tub. Rooms and lobby were recently renovated so everything was tip top. The room was kinda hot due to direct sunlight against the windows but we left the air con on throughout the day, so it was cool. Location was PERFECT . Very QUIET, SAFE,CONVENIENT and STRATEGIC . It’s located at the end of the Ao Nang beach Main Street and in between that and NoppharatTara Beach. Strategic to go shopping and to go for tours ( pier is at Noppharat Tara) . There’s a fruit shake and dessert stall just downstairs in front of the entrance and 7 Eleven is just next door. Staff was kind, friendly , helpful and attentive I can’t recommend this hotel enough. However , the swimming pool is just mediocre and we didn’t try the hotel’s food. Nonetheless , THANK YOU DAYS IN!!

- we stay here from 16 feb 2013 - 21 feb 2013 - great breakfast everyday - great location - clean pool - The receptionist very friendly and very helpful - We rent safety deposit box, per day - The room is very big, our room is D107 - The view from our room really nice, in front of the pool - We didn't plan anything for our trip, just go to the receptionist and tell them what we want to do, they will help us to book it. even to rent bike, they will ask to deliver it to the hotel. - the hotel is 5 minutes from the Hat Noppharat Thara beach (to the right) and 10 minutes from Ao Nang beach (to the left) -Definitely will come here again

I’ve stayed at the Verandah in 2010 and loved it so much, I came back again in 2012. This hotel has it all. The staff are very friendly and efficient during check in. The rooms are very big and clean, a big plus is that their sink is separate from their bathroom so that was very convenient. While someone was showering or using the toilet, another person could brush their teeth and wash their clothes. Each room also has a balcony and clothes rack. Given how sunny it gets in Ao Nang, it was very easy to wash your clothes and hang them to dry in the balcony. The hotel is very clean and fresh bath and facial towels are provided daily. You also get a pool towel to use the huge pool next door at Peace Laguna. The Verandah’s beds and comforters are so comfortable, you really get a good night’s rest here. The free breakfast buffet in the morning is one of the best I’ve had in Thailand. It consisted of eggs, porridge, bacon, salad, fruit, toast, cereal and an abundance of coffee, tea, milk and fruit juices. The hotel is located on the main road (Nopparat) and is a 5min walk to the beach and long tail boats to Railay Beach. A 7-Eleven, Starbucks, McDonalds restaurants, bars and various food stalls are all steps from the hotel. There are two high speed computers as well as a bathroom and maps/tour information in the lobby for guest use. If I return to Ao Nang again, I would stay at the Verandah again.

I loved this hotel . Pro and cons to help you when you arrive in krabi ao nang 1. Free tuk tuk many times to the ao nang beach and one time free pick up from ao nang beach to hotel 2. Rooms are super clean ! Superb ambience . Very nice mountain view 3: they provide cloth stand for free in your balcony 4.ours was a deluxe room , cozy bed , free water , coffee, tea 5. Extremely helpful staff . May and fone the receptionist were good 😊 very helpful and available. 6. The tuk tuk guy is so jolly always ready to drop you to ao nang 7. Breakfast is nice . They make it fresh and the chef and kitchen is clean . Hmmmm what else ? Well it's good for people who want to stay in this hotel just for sleep as we both were out the whole day for daily tours !!! Cons In the morning you have to call the hotel on your own for tuk tuk to get you back from ao nang to hotel Stairs !!! They don't have a lift so it's always a boring thing to walk up the stairs Rest it's superb !!!

We stayed in Nagapura for 4 nights. The pool access room just costs around per night! Location is good which is just 10 mins walk to the Ao nang beach. But actually you don't need to walk if you join the local tour (they provide pick-up at the hotels). There are some hawkers and convenient stores around. You can have pancakes and fruit shake every day there! The room surprised us that it was very clean and spacious!!!!! Great balcony and our room was just opposite to the pool side bar! Music was great! Pool was quite large and you can also sunbathe at the pool side or the balcony! Upon check out, they arranged the golf car to send us to the boat ticket office! Staff were nice and always give us a big hand! Pick this hotel if you would like to have a pool access one! It won't disappoint you!

we stayed there for 3 days and were so happy that we chose this resort for our stay. positive points (so many): 1)great location: right in front of nopparat thara beach and hardly 10 mins walk (or 2 mins tuk-tuk ride) from ao nang beach. 2)utility shops: minimarts / eating joints all just nearby. 3)hospitality: very good and english speaking / understanding people in hotel (very very important in thailand) 4)hotel features: nice pools ( 2 in number ) / thai massages / bath tub / great complimentary breakfast / beach front lobby / free internet wifi (it was outrageous that our hotels in phuket / bangkok charged us obscene amounts of money for internet)

I had a minor boo-boo during the booking of the reservation as the website hang and I missed the chance to book the hotel for my entire stay. I contacted Agoda to address the issue and they were kind to accord the room from this hotel to me at a discounted rate as I have provided proof that the website died on me. Hotel initially wanted to charge me an exorbitant rate for my last night stay because of it's "unavailability". Apart from the overcharging, it was otherwise a almost perfect stay. I booked a Grand Deluxe Room and paid for an additional bed at 850 baht per night. Requested for extra mattress for the extra bed to ensure that the main bed and extra bed are of the same height, the front desk obliged without much hesitation. Booked Phi Phi Island trip with the front desk and was given a discount and pick up time was prompt. Paid 1,200 baht for 2 way airport transfer and drivers (different driver) was extremely friendly, courteous and on time. Hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk from Ao Nang Beach however there hotel shuttle available. Walk back to hotel at night is a little too dark though with my small children in tow. Only issue is with the safe deposit box in the room which keeps getting stuck and I had to trouble the front desk to keep opening up for me. Once, they send the housekeeping to open up the safe deposit box for me which I think it may be a little wrong as the master key is the key to all the rooms and all safe deposit boxes in the hotel hence only authorized personnel like the manager can hold on to the key.
