Hotels near Macao Government Tourism Office

I made an early booking with Agoda for this hotel at a relatively cheap price for Superior Room and even received excellent value as we were upgraded to Deluxe Room. We were not able to catch the free airport shuttle service of Hotel Royal because we arrived at 10:20pm as the last trip of the free airport shuttle service is only until 10:00pm. Hotel Royal might want to consider extending their free airport shuttle service until 10:30pm. Beware of overcharging of taxi drivers from the airport as they take advantage of the extra charges of luggage and airport surcharge allowed by the Macau Government. We were charged extra MOP20 on top of the meter charge for one luggage and two passengers. Whereas our companions were charged extra MOP25 on top of the meter charge for two luggage and three passengers. The Macau Government should look into this as tourists are being ripped off by the taxi drivers at the airport.

Our stay at the Lisboa hotel was almost perfect. Our check in was smooth and we were upgraded to a bigger room (thanks!). Room was grandly spacious and the bathroom was absolute joy - there was a steam jacuzzi with massaging and audio functions and boy, you don't really want to get out! Our unit was on the 16th floor and we had a gorgeous view of the bridge and river. At night, the buildings are lit up which further adds to its old world charm. All in, if you want a real Macau experience, do try out Lisboa Hotel. You almost feel transported back in time but it was the very experience we had wanted to try when we booked this hotel. Looking at the wonderful upkeep of the hotel, we were surprised to know it is the oldest 5-star hotel in Macau.

My stay with my wife at the Harbourview Hotel is probably the best we ever had in Macao so far. The staff are very friendly like Jeffrey, Jed, Tim, Iris and all the others whose names are too many to mention. I would definitely recommend Harbourview Hotel Macao to my friends, relatives and colleagues back home. I am looking forward to my next visit in Macao and will surely stay at the Harbourview Hotel again. Congratulations and keep up the good work !

Decent hotel with relatively big rooms (when compared to HK), even though mine was a standard/basic room. Casino downstairs with pretty low minimum stakes which is good for the novice. Minimum stakes: Room service was fast and good. No ridiculously high deposit required for incidentals. Just for 2 nights (and I assume it'll be the same for more nights) - there are many hotels in Macau whichT. It's fully refundable Poor shuttle service (it's like once every hour to the ferry terminal only) but you can take a cab to the ferry terminal where you can hop on to other free buses to other resorts like The Venetian, Galaxy, etc. It's walking distance to Star World, Wynn, Lisboa, etc. that are on the main Macau peninsular. Free breakfast included with many room rates including my cheap one. Very average food but it's buffet style. Better than nothing I guess. Free welcome drink too, at a bar with literally has 3 tables and zero customers but whatever. One free drink (bottled beer, juice, coffee/tea) without any minimum spend. Decent satellite channels and local (HK, Macau, and CCTV ones). If it's at around on a non-Saturday, it's worth it. Free Wi-Fi internet that doesn't seem to limit the number of devices per room.

basically, this hotel was really gave me a surprise. For a 3 stars hotel in Macau can be look so luxurious and comfortable. The service is really good :) friendly staffs who were able to help us anything. I wonder 3 stars hotel could be so nice, what about 4 to 5 stars? :) very convenient when u want to go to casino and to the tourist attractions. overall, macau is a very very small city. thus whenever you go, just flag a cab and go to the tourist attractions! :)

After cross ferry from HK to Macau, hotel has shuttle bus from port to hotel but have to cross the underground to the other side. Hotel has the shuttle bus service between the port and hotel every 15 - 20 mins which is quite convenient. The hotel is located near the tourist spot which is within walking distance which is quite nice but the surrounding is not very pleasant as the building around the hotel are old and not nice. The hotel building from outside look quit plain comparing to other hotel which are more colourful with other gimmics. The room was good and interior was quite nice. Casino looks a bit small and not as exciting as others. Traveling from hotel to other hotels in Macau is convenient as we can take shuttle bus to the port and use other hotels' shuttle bus to go to visit other hotels.

Our trip to Macau was a gamble of sorts. We were a group ofunlikely tourists - 4 elderly family members and an active four-year-old childinclusive. We booked the hotel online via Agoda based solely on gut instincts.We found a hotel in Macau island within our budget and clicked the button –the ‘MandarinOriental’ name did help to decide us. The night before arrival, I went onlineand saw that the hotel was undergoing renovations; I spent a sleepless night worryingabout our hotel choice. We were checked in by a hotel staff who spoke interesting Cantonesewith a Macanese dialect. Our requests were attended to though the staff did notcome across as naturally friendly. But we had the opportunity to meet otherstaff who were more helpful and friendly during our stay. One particularreception staff did not only speak fluent English but gave us veryhelpful recommendations for eating places. He went to the extent of searchingonline and sketching simple maps for us. Having been warned by friends that hotels in Macau and HongKong were not really something to look forward to, we were pleasantly surprisedby the ambience of the hotel (no sign of renovation), cleanliness of the rooms,the facilities, as well as the understated elegance of the place. We had agreat stay and the bet did pay off – for a reasonable price, we got quite agood deal.

room conditon is satisfying comparing to fare. 3 shower towels were offered per one day, and small towels were, too. this hotel didn't provide heating system but they do provide thick and warm blankets. staffs are good at english(we checked in 2:00 am)and made up our room clearly. and best traits they have are location which are closer to Senado Square the main point to tourism. so i wanna recommend this hotel to macau tourists.

Three of my friends recommended that we stay in Hotel Sintra when they found out we were going to Macao. I immediately made my booking and and I was impressed at how my queries,reservation and even booking amendments were handled. Very customer service oriented. The location of Hotel Sintra is superb, almost very near to a lot of places to visit when in Macao. The hotel staff is very courteous and accommodating, rooms are very clean and spacious, room rates are very reasonable. My family enjoyed our stay here in Hotel Sintra. Will definitely go back! And will definitely refer this to my friends who will be visiting Macao soon.

location is convenient. This hotel is new, room decoration was really nice. Room was big and a balcony. Shampoo, body soap kits was L'Occitane. There was bath tub which was big enough for me to enjoy a bubble bath. Breakfast was included but there wasn't much choice. It was a rainy day by the time I reached Macao. I didn't have my own umbrella so I borrowed one from the hotel. There was Anytime fitness right next to the hotel entrance. It was 24/7 and it was free for hotel guest , which I liked it a lot.

The stay at the hotel was very nice. I booked an executive room and was unaware that I could have gone straight up to the 16th floor to check in. The speedy checkout process in the business lounge was nice and fast. I was unable to find a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. They appear to share a shuttle with another chain with Emperor labeled on the outside of the van. Much smaller than the big chains vans. They did have a shuttle to the ferry terminal which was good. For those with onward travel to HKG you have to ensure your time between landing and flight departure is at least 2 hours. I was unable to take the direct ferry to the airport because I would have only had 1.5 hours.

We like the room, it clean and comfort. The bathroom also nice and well done designed. The location is not really good, it's not really near to the center of attaction, however booking a taxi in Macau is cheap as Macau is consider as a small city. You can take a taxi to the center of attraction and pay about HKD/MOP 25-30 only. 1 HKD = 1 MOP (Macau Pacatta MOP is pegged with HK Dolar). The receptionist and staff were helpful and understand english well.

Luckily I could speak Mandarin - it really paid off during my stay in Macao. Also, good thing that they hired English, Mandarin speaking staffs at the reception counter but like us, they are also new to Macau City.. therefore, couldn't help us much. The old man was the most friendly and helpful while the mid-age ladies chatting at the reception area are the biggest turn-offs! Everything on the surface is perfect in the room but under the beds - they're not. No problem with hot water, hot shower, aircon - except the remote. Only bath towels and tissues, rubber slippers, automatic kettle are provided. Mostly Chinese programs are on TV. So far, our things are secured inside the room. This hotel is OK for adventurers like us - who prefer sightseeing, shopping & food tasting instead of going to casinos. TIP: Take advantage of free shuttle rides provided by big casino hotels to and from Ferry Terminal. Beware of TAXI DRIVERS who will take you for a long ride. Buses are also very convenient - except you have to pay minimum of MOP3.2 - it will take some time for travelers like us to get use to the transport system. Most Macau people - older ones especially are grouchy. Better seek help from Filipinos in the area.

Stayed along with my parents and it was amazing. From its design outside which is very palace like to the inside where in interior very much like leave up to the design outside. Inside is very luxurious and detailed, room is very spacious and the bed is really comfortable. My mom is shocked on how the television goes up from the cabinet, but the best of all from this hotel are the staff who not only serve us but also made sure that we will be able to have unforgettable stay as it is the 31st anniversary of my parents. From the moment we enter the hotel the front line staff Amad, greeted us and helped us on our luggage and led us to the front desk. Eva did the checking in which is fast and very professional she even greeted my parents a happy anniversary as soon as she knew it. Rose escorted us to the room, she told us all the hotel facilities and room amenities. Brian from the Concierge helped us with our luggage and provided some information in Macau. He also waited for us near the recreation to escort us to go to the lounge on eight. Lyn from the lounge on eight is very nice and engaging, the overall experience in the lounge on eight which is already very good is greatly enhanced because of her costumer engagement. Upon going out. Jury helped us on where to go, he gave us detailed information on which place to visit and which is very good place to go as my mom is having difficulty on walking. The room attendant, Sam, Dennis and Jonathan did a good job, service was really fast. Upon going to recreation Yumiko did a good job even we find it hard to communicate she tried her best to explain every facilities to us at the recreation. The gallery bar is very nice and cozy aswell, it has a very elegant vibe in it and is greatly enhanced by what louie made for us. Upon check out, Jack helped us with the luggage and helped us on how to get to the bus station going to Hong Kong The overall experience is really great my parents anniversarry become extra special as what Ros

It's really a good stay in this hotel! Among all the hotels that I check in this area, this was the cheapest and the most well furbished hotel I could find. I was worried that I couldn't find the hotel initially, but it turns out to be easy as well. Complimentary drinks were topped up daily, together with tea sachets. Free Wi-Fi has got stable & fast connections. Furnitures seems pretty new, bed is comfy, the television was fix too high though. Also, it was very near to Ponte16 (one of the casino-hotel in Macau), you could actually use their shuttle bus services to get to Ole Tai Sam Un Hotel. They have got shuttle services to & from the Border Gates to ZhuHai & the Ferry Terminal. Save a hell lot of money on transport. I'm definitely going back there again, if I couldn't find a better hotel with such cheap rates (as compared to hotels in Macau)

Only 40 minutes from Macao Airport by taking bus No 26 and get off at PRACA PONTE HORTA in front of 7 Eleven. Walk back to the LEFT CORNER of the building, you will see HOTEL SUN SUN on your right. From the hotel, you can walk to Senado Square, St Dominic Church, Ruins of St Paul's etc. Wherever you would like to visit such as A-MA Temple, Church of Our Lady of Penha, Statue of Kun Iam, etc., you can start from such bus stop mentioned above. That's why I said, "Worth staying at Best Western Sun Sun (Hotel Sun Sun) and experience Macao".

We quite enjoyed our stay at the Rocks Hotel. It was something different from the rest of the hotels in Macau. Although the Babylon Casino is just right next to the hotel, it was connected and that was quite a relief. It felt nice and quiet, away from the usual buzz you'll find at hotels in Macau. The hotel was decorated beautifully, the simplistic Euro-style deco was nice and the room was clean. Great value for money and even included 2 sets of breakfast. Will definitely choose the Rocks Hotel again for myself and for guests.

I had stay many hotels in Macau and this is the best so far. Emailed them to inform I'm celebrating my wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room to noble suite and provide a free red wine too. Room is huge, clean and luxurious. There are 3 TV (living room, bed room and bathroom), washing machine, microwave, refrigerator etc. Bathroom is huge and shower items are good (L'OCCITANE). Really feel like a living in a super luxurious home in overseas with 5 stars hotel services. Location is also good ( Stone throw to MGM and few mins walk to Wynn and Starworld). Highly recommended to all type of travellers!

This is actually our second stay here at the hotel. We enjoyed our first stay here last year so I did not hesitate to book here again.The hotel is so clean. The rooms are huge, not smelly and the linen and towels are crisp white. The location is very convenient you just cross or walk a little and the other casinos are right there. The food at the hotel restaurant is so good. The other restaurants around the hotel are also good and reasonably priced. I would want to stay at this hotel next time we visit Macao.

We booked a Saturday night at Crown Plaza at a charge one thousand something which is almost $1000-1500 cheaper than those hotels at Taipa or Macau downtown! It may not be the best location in Macau, but they also provide shuttle bus service from Macau outer Harbour Ferry Pier to hotel at around 20 minutes travelling . The check in is smooth, room is decent and nice. I was being upgraded to a Harbour View Room, look over the Outer harbour & really stress free. Buffet breakfast on 3/F also provide a variety of food, salad, bread & pastries to noodles & congee. It would be perfect if the food can be hotter. Tips for those coming back from Venetian after concert: take the shuttle bus from Venetian to Border Gate and walk to hotel within 20 minutes. You can find different local restaurants, fast food shop & convenience store on the way! Good choice for the supper !

We stayed in the hotel just to sleep. Bed and bath room are clean. Good AC. We were provided a free mobile wifi device. It's a good walking distance going to Ruins of St Paul Cathedral. We also just walked going to Wynn Macau for some of the shows, then rode the free shuttle going to Venetian and back to Fisherman's Wharf. We took a cab going back to the hotel. Overall, I like the location and it's one of the most affordable hotels in Macau.

There are a lot of nice hotels in Macau but the MCM has also sea view, well at least the room we had, we had requested seaview and had an upgraded room. The room was super modern with huge windows to look out. The restaurants were also very nice but the casino was the best, we stopped at several different hotels to see the difference and MCM was by far our favorite. It also has a very nice pool which we unfortunately did not get to use since we were only staying one night. I would definately stay at MCM again, it is worth the money.

I had booked a Deluxe City View and Wynn gave me a free upgrade. The room was the best room I have ever seen in my life. It's spotless clean, it's got all the amenities you can thing of and the view was simply breath taking. The front desk were really accommodating and acted like a real 5 star service reps. The location was central and you could walk to all of the surrounding hotels. Overall, I can't say a single bad thing about this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

easonable price, comfortable, and nice. It is suitable and best choices for bagpacker. My personal share view about Macau is: Macau is a Chinese and Spanish culture city, especially old local building, historical building, Old Roman Catholic church, old Chinese temple, entry ticket is very cheap (MOP 10) to see Panda in Macau City unlike in China the entry ticket is RMB100 and above, plus most of the tourism places in Macau city does not need entry ticket including museum. Food in Macau is nice and only McDonald available in Macau city, and no KFC in Macau. Regarding gambling places, most of these places are free entry, beautiful and elegant designed, especially The Venetian is the best and worth to visit in evening 5PM. Chinese people in Macau is very nice, helpful, and civilize, but if you are able to speak cantonese to them, they are even willingly and helpful to you. Merely bus in Macau not really covenience sometimes although is cheap, easily get confuse, and taxi in Macau is espensive. Macau City is a nice place to visit although its small.

The location of the hotel was an amazing surprise to me. I had been looking for a good inexpensive hotel in Macau and i found one on agoda. Even then I was sceptical of the price and where the hotel is located. Sometimes what is advertised is not what it really is. However, it wasnt the case here.Getting to the hotel after 9pm and discovering how central the location of the hotel is a surprise to us. Then upon checking into the room, we were pleased that the room was clean and newly decorated, on the 9th floor. It was great to have such a nice room after a day of travelling. The locality of this hotel enables us to make it a focal point of our walks around the area. we were able to explore the whole area and enjoy the tasty foods available. The hotel being in the central area, is always busy and it enables me and my partner to walk around in the wee hours of the morning, with no worries on when the last bus to the hotel is, as all is within walking distance. The staff were also very helpful with directions and other information. It was a very very memorable trip to Macau and of the stay at Metropole Hotel. Moreover, October 1st was my birthday, and being able to celebrate it for the 1st time in China in conjunction with its 60th anniversary, and being in Macau for the fireworks competition between Hunan and Austria on that same day, was a real treat for me. We are planning our trip back to Macau and to this same hotel for 2010 !!
