Hotel provide great facilities - staff friendly, room is spacious, breakfast have many variety - western, oriental & thai style and even vegetarian corner. Great Location - many eatery nearby like 7-11, Mcdonald & Starbucks just opposite at main road, just walk down opposite left side have one call Ruen Massage very nice and further left down will reach Aonang beach side. Thanks for hotel arrangement (especially housekeeper Tim) on the swan decoration for us to celebrate our 6th Anniversary in Panan Krabi Resort (left us good and sweet memories, appreciate it)

Booked from 21- 23 February in a deluxe ocean view room for my wifes birthday as we travelled around Thailand and with a bit of trepidation as some reviews were a touch negative. All I can say is its fantastic - a 9.5 score easily from us. Theres a few very minor points - the TV is small and old - but you won't want to be in your room as outside is so fantastic. The service at the beach bar is a bit chaotic. Broadband is only free in the library and lobby and chargeable in your room which is mean. For true ocean view you need a top floor room as the palm trees block the views. But thats it. We are so glad we ignored some of the reviews and booked. It is basically an island location as its seperated from the best bit of Ao Nang by about 50 metres of rock. You can walk up the cliff - the monkey walk- otherwise its a free speedboat which takes you further down the coast to Where all the boats and boat trips launch from. We found the boat service no hassle at all but you have to book it to guarantee your place so you just need to think a day ahead. I think some of the reviews talking about the boats, sunbeds, baggage, etc refer to when the hotel was packed for chinese new year, etc probably best to avoid but for our dates no problem with boats, baggage, getting sunbeds, etc. Remember its on an island basically so think about all the logistics they have to do getting everything on and off from staff, food, towels, customers, etc. but thats part of the charm of watching the boats come and go from the long pier. The beach is gorgeous, private, sandy and empty. The views of the sea and rock formations are stunning, the pool is the best I've ever been in - really 4 pools in one with fountains, waterfalls, kids area, a cave and wonderful views. All the restaurant food was top quality and the Thai buffet and dancing night was great. Service superb. Engish speaking. Breakfast very good quality and choices. Definitely a 5 place with all the little trimmings plus 10 views.

I love the design of the room which is the bed is separate massage by the wall but by the glasses. The receptionist are polite and the check in process are fast and efficiency. The room are clean and no weird smell. massage are get more than what you paid for this hotel. A nice swimming pool and other well equiped facilities. And there is walking distance to Aonang beach and there are alot restaurant,travel agency,7-eleven,family mart,massage shop and etc nearby. And no need worry about the transportation because you can book the transport easily since there are alot tuk tuk and shared minivan. Everything are convenient and we will definitely stay again when we visit Krabi again next time.

I am sceptical to choose this hotel at the first place but after being assured by Ms Orn I proceed with my booking. I stayed there for 9 nights. I was a memorable and wonderful vacation. I choose the deluxe pool view room and my room was amaIng ( i had a very clear cliff view and the swimming pool). I always sit at the balcony just to have the peace of mind with the cliff view. Their swimming pool not to be a miss as you will find peace while there with that cliff view and the swimming pool decoration (elephants). Their location also strategic. Just 5 mins walk to the beach and around was shops selling souveniour, toyr agents, 24hours minimart, 7E juat beside their main gate, money changer, massage centre, restaurants accross the road and around their hotel. For Muslim halal food easily accesible. Lemon, bamboo, galaxy coffee restaurant is nearby. To the mosque it only takes you around 15 mins walk. At night there is stalls near the moaque selling varieties of street food. Theia breakfast are standard. For us it is ok as we are not fussy. You can hve breads, fried rice, yogurt, fruits, and few more with coffee or tea and also juices and milk. For Muslim we are assured that the food is Halal by Ms Orn and their other staffs. Their staffs give us welcoming feeling especially to Mr Paringtorn B. (Receiptionist/Front Office). Their guards greet us when we are going in and out of the resort. Restaurant staffs also ok and I had chit chat with them they even teach me some Thai Language. The Pool Boy also friendly. It is my wife birthday on the day we check in and she was given a birthday cake (thank you Ms Orn). Toiletries was given everyday. Our room was well kept and clean daily. The toilet have bath tub. Their aircond was the best and cold enough for the hot Ao nang. Everything was great. They may be room for improvement but for us as long we have a good hospitality it gives us welcoming touch we are happy, and we do miss this place after we return home.

Travelled in a group of 4 and booked 2 rooms from 14/8 to 17/8. Had a very pleasant welcome from Noolek and Noola who served us welcome drinks and introduced the hotel facilities. They even showed us up to our rooms. Our spacious rooms came with a king-sized bed & single bed and a balcony which faces the main road to Ao Nang Beach. They even provide 2 beach towels, 2 beach mats in a carry bag and 2 umbrellas in the rooms. Coffee, tea, mineral water, soft drinks, juice and a small packet of nuts (in the minibar) are complimentary and replenished daily. Buffet breakfast that was included in our room rates was simple yet widespread with an assortment of juices, fruits, salads, cold cuts, breads, cereals, international choices of main course, eggs station and variety of teas and coffees. As this hotel is still quite new, the bed is so comfortable, bed linen is crisp & white and bath towels are thick & fluffy. Rooms are cleaned daily and corridors are mopped twice daily. The location of this hotel is ideal. Ao Nang beach is a pleasant 15 minute walk away with lots of eateries, 7-11s, massage and shopping around it's vicinity. We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Marina and will be back for another visit soon.

It was a very satisfying stay at this hotel. Location was at its best. We can even do bar hopping til midnight and no need to worry about the travelling since it’s a minute walk from the bars. Everything is just around the corner. Bike renting, restaurants, beach, travel agencies and of course bars. Staffs are very nice from picking us up to the airport and in every corner of the hotel. Just a piece of advice, maybe its better if your receptionists are well verse in english since most of us tourist were from other parts of the world. Breakfast variations was good. Great decision to stay at pool access room. Any time of the the day we can chill with our legs submerged at the pool with wine on the table. Overall we really had a great time staying at Krabi partly because of this hotel. Thank you for the nice accomodation and will definitely stay on this hotel again the next time we visit Krabi.

Hotel : check-in was quick and fuss free. Booked a Deluxe Room, spacious and there’s balcony and sofa for a very reasonable price. Bed was super comfy and room is definitely clean. Free mini bar top up everyday. Don’t forget to bring your toothbrush and toothpaste as they don’t provide them. Hotel location was perfect for me surrounded by plenty of muslim/halal foods. The hotel restaurant is not halal, yet there’s bread, pastries and egg live station which you can consume. Hotel staff is very helpful, they help us with booking of chauffeur service from hotel to the airport for 600baht. Hotel provides umbrella in the room and beach towel too! Hotel to Aonang beach took us about 20mins walk which i’m pretty lazy to walk hence we rented a bike for 200baht per day (prepare a refundable deposit of 3k baht) We went for island hopping which cost us 2400 baht for 2pax include all taxes. (tour counter can be found opposite the hotel beside Bangboo restaurant) Don’t forget to try Firdaus restaurant beside the hotel as they provide nice halal seafood and there’s a cart right in front of the hotel selling pad thai (cheap & nice!) There’s a short night market outside the mosque selling street food, don’t forget to try the mango sticky rice, i bought that everyday it cost only 50baht! Massage parlour is all over cost between 200 - 500baht (i went twice 😊 ) Overall, Krabi is a nice place to relax. I never regret choosing Marina Express tho it’s not located in front of the beach.

Minor Cons: The floor of our room was dirty when we first check in. It was quite obvious as it was marble tiles. The aircon leaked like crazy on our first day so the bed under the aircon got wet but it wasnt a big deal as they were quick to fix it and changing new set of bedsheet for us. !!! : The water pressure and temperature is the biggest downside. After staying 3 nights, we mastered the tap by switching to hot and cold every 5 seconds to maintain a decent temperature... Dining area renovating. Pros: The location is one of the best according to my research. Worth the price if you are on budget. Service staff are quick to respond and help. Less than 5mins walk to 7-11 and starbucks. Directly downstairs the massage parlour, Ruen Sukhothai Massage, that we went 4 days straight is a best have at the end of the day. Book in advance as it gets crowded at night. Along the street, got lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc. RECOMMENDED! 4.5/5

I booked 1 day and ended up staying 12 days. I don't think you could find another hotel that ticks all the boxes for friendliness, comfort at an affordable price. I stayed 3 days at another hotel that has excellent reviews, and I agree that it was of a high standard but lacked atmosphere. As a solo lady traveller I felt like the staff looked out for me for my safety and catered for an enjoyable stay. The room is a standard size with extra large comfy bed, good wifi, aircon, water pressure, clean. Staff are trained to an excellent standard in all areas of hospitality and this is a reflection of the manager. Pool area has lots of atmosphere and lovely for a refreshing dip and relaxation. Happy hour is from 16.30 to 17.30 with 2 for the price of 1 drink. Breakfast is plentiful, delicious and caters to all tastes. I ate at the restaurant twice and both nights were delicious but remember that there is a surcharge attached. The manager invited myself and another couple for a Thai afternoon tea which was an extra lovely touch. The massages at the hotel were very enjoyable and affordable. I had an extra early flight and Alisea drove me to the airport and had a packed breakfast ready for me to take on my way. A huge thankyou to all at Alisea

I checked into the hotel on 30/07/15 at 1400hrs and stayed in the ocean view room. We received our complimentary drink upon checking in and were taken to our room. Room was clean and cosy. However, I have stayed in some rooms before especially in more expensive areas like Phuket that were much bigger and at a lower price. That being said, the room was still really nice. We didn't get to use the outdoor bathtub as it was frequently drizzling while we were there and since it's a resort, insects were expected especially during such weather. There was construction works going on behind the hotel. However it is not as loud as some reviews suggest. Everyone probably has a different threshold to noise and my tolerance is pretty low so I guess the noise was not that loud. Breakfast spread was reasonable but could have been better. My room required a lift to get to. And we needed to walk through the garden to get there. What turned me off was seeing a frog stuck to the lift door when I wanted to get to my room. And I had to wait until it hopped away before entering the lift. You can also occasionally hear the croaking of frogs around the hotel which creeps me out. Aside from the hotel, the location was fantastic. It has everything. Bars, restaurants, the beach, shops and massage parlours. However I would recommend searching for a proper place to get your massage done.!There's a fantastic place called Massage Corner located about 3 minutes away by Tuk Tuk. It is definitely more worth it to get it done there. Overall, it was a decent trip and I feel that the hotel is capable of much better. As of not I would not rate it more than 4 stars.

The staff were great, we completed a survey during our staff and within minutes one of the staff phoned us to discuss our options and to try and improve our stay, we booked a mountain view but ended up with a city view which was ok, they offered us a room over the pool which we declined due to our room being comfortable with a king size bed and lovely facilities. The only negative is the small street the hotel is located on could do with some footpaths so you don’t have to dodge the traffic. In all the hotel is great value and very clean and the staff were great, the tour desk organised an Phi Phi island tour for us and our transfers to Koh Phangan which were both well organised and on time. The hotel is close to plenty of good restaurants, shops and Thai massage places We would stay here again if we returned to Krabi.

Pros: The room was clean with pretty decor. The hotel offers in room massages which was cool. They also have motorbikes available for rent which in convenient. We stayed in the room with direct pool access but didn't take advantage of it as we only stayed one night. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs, pancakes, and pastries. Cons: anytime either of us logged into the Wi-Fi the other person got kicked off. The check in took a while, but with newer hotels it's expected.

We had a very positive stay at this hotel, although the location was not the greatest. It was a bit of a hike from the Ao Nang town and night life. It was across from the beach, but that beach had a lot of long tail boats parked in the way. The hotel staff and the actual accomodations were by far the best part. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel design is very quaint and pretty. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and so helpful. They helped us book several day trips and excursions, gave us lots of helpful information and even let us check out late due to a last minute trek we joined. They were the friendliest staff we met during our trip to Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi.

This hotel is good value for the price paid. Quite new ( 3 years ), nice design & furnishings, good reception area, swimming pool with slides for children ( but about 3 feet depth, young kids need to be supervised ), very nice spa center and nice landscaping. Room is clean and very comfortable ( 4 to 5 star quality ), with a balcony. Bathroom has clean bathtub and separate shower area. One plus point is the bed is superking size, and can comfortably sleep parents and a kid, for those traveling with children. The cooling welcome drink served upon check in was very much appreciated, and a staff brought us up to the room to introduce the facilities... friendly & efficient. There are food stalls/restaurants ( the famous WangSai seafood is 5mins walk away ), massage centers, convenience stroes, right outside the hotel, everything you need, or else walk about 10 further for more choices along tourist belt of Aonag strip. Its 30mins away from airport ( peak hour will be 45mins ) - we booked airport transfer for very early in the morning ( 5am ) but was informed of a misbooking when taxi did not turn up, the staff was able to call and a van eventually arrived after 30mins. It will be cheaper if booking was done outside of hotel ( 500bht vs 800bht ), but at that hour, at least we have assurance of support from hotel staff in case of emergency like this. ( another booking at same hour was ok ). Overall very good hotel and will stay again.

Overall, apple of a day hotel is more than satisfactory. Hotel is clean, staffs are helpful, location is great and many restaurant near by, walking distance to ao nang beach. Hotel buffet is not many to choose but still ok. Like the juice bar so much, it's a way of starting new day with healthy life style. Next time, if I visit krabi will stay again. Instead of staying at hotel at railay beach area, I will stay here and just go day visit to railay beach. Railay beach hotel are not worth money and not good food around that area though the beach is nicer there. There is a swiss cottage beach trip package seller near apple a day resort, they offer the best beach package, cheaper by 400-500 bhatts than other tour company. We booked and use airport transfer from there 150bhatts per person. It is cheap and affordable when taxi charge 600 bhatts. Overall location, cleanliness and food wise, apple a day is the best choice.

The quality of this hotel was evident from the minute we walked up. The building is only a year old and still in immaculate condition. We originally booked a room on the 3rd floor with a garden view. The staff were not only friendly, but they upgraded us to a top floor room with an ocean view for no extra charge. Their English wasn't great but they were trying their best and that was greatly appreciated. The rooms were very clean and well thought out. The overhead shower was amazing!! Beds were quite comfortable compared to other "high ebd" hotels we have stayed in here in Thailand. The location is close enough to the beach, but far enough from the nightlife noise. Very close to the 8.98 Cafe which is a must for safe, delicious food. We are currently back for a second night after a very uncomfortable stay in Railay where were both got good poisoning. Wake Up Aonang is absolute comfort away from home you can trust. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done Wake Up

We booked our stay here based on other traveler reviews. We are so glad we did! This was among the best lodgings on our trip, and also one of the least expensive! This is a hidden gem and we will definitely stay here again. We were pleased with the room, which looked exactly like the pictures. Our bungalow was clean, modern, and lovely inside. Comfortable bed, security safe, good aircon, and coffee/tea for the room. Absolutely no complaints about the room. The grounds are green, lush, tranquil. I spent time just walking around the resort, taking pictures. The pool was clean, attractive. The entire resort was well looked after. The staff was efficient and helpful. Service was efficient. Laundry was done quickly and well. They helped us rent a motorbike, which was brought directly to the resort. The arranged a shuttle to the airport. When we checked in, we also booked an additional day at the last minute. We had to move to another room on the last day because ours was already reserved. But the staff did a wonderful job, moving everything for us. They also offer a breakfast buffet in their open-air dining area. It was attractive and the food looked good, but we did not eat there so cannot say anything about the quality. I believe it was traditional western-style breakfast. The downside: It is not near the beach. The resort does offer a shuttle every couple hours down to the beach, but you have to find your own transport back, or walk (which is what we did). However, this is minor, and I enjoyed walking through the town, seeing the sights and the shops. overall, however, this is a little hidden treasure and was one of the high points of our stay in Ao Nang. We have already recommended it to friends traveling to Thailand.

Nice stay at this hotel, it is only 2 years old and has a fantastic view at the poolside of the mountains. Contrary to what I read about other comments about rude staff I found them to be very nice and pleasant and very helpful in addition very professional. We stayed in a standard room booked online and payed approximately £25 per night with Various discounts in low season the rooms were modern clean and very pleasant but are quite small but we knew this before we booked so no complaints there, probably the only minor complaint I would have is there is insufficient storage space for clothes and we had to leave half of our clothes in the suitcase under the bed. There is a safe, fridge and wall mounted flat screen TV with about 52 channels however I couldn't find one English speaking channel during our stay, there were French Indian Spanish......so I was really surprised at this infact it's a first as nearly every hotel has either a bbc or American news channel, however we didn't come to watch tv so it wasn't a big deal. Very pleasant well designed bathroom with a good shower and provision of liquid soap and shampoo dispensers. Breakfast was good with an egg station that cooked eggs and omelettes to order, for a snack they done great burgers at reasonable price, drinks are quite expensive but there is a happy hour from 5pm. - 7 pm where local beers and cocktails are 2 for 1. The Internet in my room was slow but worked good in public areas. My biggest disappointment was when a huge group of southern Asians turned up and there behaviour at breakfast time and around the pool was barbaric, in addition they let their children run wild throughout the hotel pressing playing in the lifts screaming down the corridors etc.... Although not the hotels fault who they let in, I did think staff and security could have been a bit more assertive......luckily for us they were only there a couple of days! In general apart from my last gripe a very pleasant stay and would definitely go

The hotel and service industry in Thailand are known to be excellent in general. I was very happy with the services provided and the staffs appeared to be polite and courteous. I am particularly impressed with the fact that they took note of my request to have the end unit of the pool access room so as to enjoy more privacy. And I did, I got the room at the far end corner with a forest view and better garden view. The gymnasium is great though only few equipment and they also have Kid's Club with sufficient toys and ample space for kids to play around. I particularly enjoyed the spa treatment at Salila Spa and had a couple package for coffee body scrub, full body massage, pedicure and manicure for only THB4,400.00 of which I think is a fair price as the room was so comfortable with steam bath was given prior to the body scrub, clean and luxurious rooms with own toilet and shower area. I brought my 3 year old during the 4 hour session and she was very comfortable playing by herself and entertained by the spa staffs. I enjoyed the massage so much that I dozed off and snored during the massage and that never happen before. They must be very good I reckon. The location is great and you could actually walk to Ao Nang Town or take a motorcycle tuk tuk (kind of like a trishaw but operated by a motorcycle) for only THB20 per person. They have few stations and one of them located very need to this resort so it will never be a problem for you to find one. I personally feel that the location is better though it is not located exactly on the beach side but as compared to other equally priced with same standard hotels which most of them are located rather much farther from the beach area. I would come and stay at this resort again in future. Highly recommended to anybody especially the honeymooners.

We stayed here overnight on our way back from Railay. We were travelling with a small group of friends and our 18 month old daughter. I found the quality of the staff at this hotel to be some of the best I have experienced in Thailand this trip. Staff were friendly, cheerful and would go the extra mile to assist with questions and information about the area. The rooms were a good size, with modern fixtures and very well maintained and cleaned. The building we stayed in didn't have a lift, but it was not difficult to walk to the third floor (top), I noticed the building attached to reception did have a lift available. The hotel is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the beach and is surrounded by a variety of restaurants, massage parlours and shops. The night market is next door and provides a good variety of dinner choices as well as some entertainment and shopping. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

The hotel is located at the end of a street on a hill, making it slightly far from the beach but with a serene environment. Since it is situated on a hill, carrying luggage to and from the entrance can be quite difficult. The rooms were very clean and the bed was a little hard but was still extremely comfortable. The pool contains a variety of depth for different swimmers and there is a massage corner as well. The hotel compound is very clean. The beach in Krabi is not very clean; consider going to Phi Phi if you want to have a beach vacation.

We chose this hotel because of how beautifully decorated it was and the wooden bathtub! We arrived at night and found a lovely room with a complimentary bottle of wine and a bath full of rose petals!!! My kids and I shrieked with excitement when we found the bath. The attention to detail in every room is just excellent. The Scandinavian aesthetic is quite unique in this part of the world. The rooftop was awesome!!! Make sure to check it out! Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool almost daily. We had a very relaxing time in Krabi because of the laid back atmosphere of this hotel. It's a bit of a walk to the beach but there's lots to see along the way, food stalls, shops, massage places, salons, etc. Our kids are 4 and 6 and they were able to walk the whole way and back again. It is also possible to use a stroller which we did. The breakfast buffet is simple but satisfying, with fried rice/noodles, hotdogs, pastries, muffins, salad, toast, cereal, yoghurt, honey and the owner makes excellent eggs! We would definitely stay here again in the future.

This is probably the best value-for-money hotel at Aonang Beach. Rooms are clean, big beds and airconds are OK. Hotel staff are pleasant and friendly. The hotel is situated right on the beach with it's restaurant 'Moon Terrace' at the beach side as well. Nice place to have breakfast and dinner with good view and sea breeze. One can walk on the beach of the left and right of the hotel. If one is walking on the left side of the beach, you are actually walking parallel to the main road where the shops are located. These are accessible from the beach by climbing a few steps. In front of the hotel, on both sides, there are shops, restaurants, pharmacies and massage parlors.

In my opinion, the major plus point of this hotel is the location. It is a 2 mins (I'm not even kidding) walk away from the street food area where the sheer amount of cheap delicious food will blow you away. Walk further down, there will be streets of shops comprising of restaurants, souvenirs and massage and at the end of it is Aonang Beach, probably a 15 mins walk away. This hotel is located between 2 beaches so you have the best of both worlds. Hotel wise, the room is spacious and is well equipped with a kettle, a fridge and a microwave. There is an outdoor space for you to chill and enjoy your food by the pool. The pool and breakfast spread is average. I would recommend to bring insect repellent here as there will be mosquitoes, not many but the occasional few. The staffs are okay but I've seen friendlier staffs in other hotels. Needless to say, I enjoyed my stay in Aonang. A recommended hotel for those on budget.

We were greeted by a friendly staff, Dida, and check in was fast. Talked to Dida about our checking out day, which we wanted to leave our bags at the hotel because we got a tour that day. She got no issue with us leaving our bags and even offered a room for us to freshen up if we want to after our day tour for FREE! Towels were provided if you are going out to islands hopping tour. Just simply return them into a bin beside reception after used. Location wise was excellent, with convenient stores just 1-2 mins walk on both sides, good massage places just opposite the road and main shopping and eateries strip just outside the door steps. I spent my birthday on the day we checked in. Asked Dida which good restaurants nearby and she suggested Lae Lay Grill. She even booked us a table and arranged transportation for us. Lae Lay Grill provides complimentary transportation from and back to the hotel. The room we booked was family room, which was spacious and clean. Breakfast was enough with variety of choices. Service at breakfast was good too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone!

I really like this hotel. Friendly staff and good food on breakfast. Best part there have free tuk tuk to the beach since its to far from hotel to beach. But the tuk tuk time only from 9am - 9pm. But i wish there can continue their service until 10pm/11pm. Second part there have shuttle van from hotel to airport with a cheap price, i just paid 150 bath per person. Lastly, there also have services motorbike rental start from 300bath. Location just oke. Far from beach. Take 15min-20min walk. Close with supermarket like Tesco and macro, 5min work only. I have been stayed theire 5days 4 night. I really happy with their services.. Thanks Ancora. 😄

No frills hotel. Clean and very convenient. A 2 mins walk out of hotel will give you an eatery with very decent Thai food (May & Zin was our favorite and it is halal if Muslim travellers are considering staying here). Also very closely nearby is the Family Mart, a massage place, pharmacy, and some convenient store. Location is not in the heart of Aonang, hence very quiet and peaceful. 7-10mins walk away from the Landmark Aonang night market. If you want to get a little bit of the Aonang nightlife (Aonang Centrepoint), its about 15mins walk away. Aonang night market itself is about 10minutes walk. Hotel is clean, bed comfortable, balcony to dry your clothes (rack and hangers provided). Swimming pool large and decent. Simple breakfast but sufficient. Overall a great stay!!

as my first stay at this place I booked Pool Access room for mom n dad n I to stay. It was a great decision great pool nice and clean. Staffs worked their best to solved my problems from my booking due to Agoda website gone funny for some reason I book pool access but Ive got Deluxe room. Finally she communicated with Agoda Thailand's branch to find the best solutuion for me and it worked out very well. Great serviced I must say.

Location Very good. Lots of restaurants, bars, etc, close by. The beach is just across the road. Arrival Probably I should have seen on hotel info that you can't book in till 2pm! We'd been travelling since 4am and arrived at 11.am knowing we were unlikely to get a room then but hoping we'd get a room about mid-day. But no-one gets a room till after 2pm! You have to leave a deposit of 500 Baht. We were told that failure to leave your key in reception results in 3,000 Baht fine - each time! If you smoke you do it on the balcony; should the room smell of smoke you pay 3,000 Baht each time! Staff Apart from the 'welcomeing rules' being given, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good! Hotel We had booked a quiet room with a view in the newer part of the hotel. We got a room opposite the wall of the next door hotel in 'C' block! The balcony was double-glazed due to the noise of the ventilation system of the adjacent hotel! It's very noisy. In some ways looking at the wall was better than the other rooms on our side which looked directly at the balconies of the adjacent hotel and weren't double-glazed. The room was cleaned reasonably well apart from the dead flowers that were left on the table for 5 days. The bathroom was very well stocked. Dining Only had breakfast once; it was good with a varied assortment for all tastes. Never ate lunch or dinner there. Although an average 3-star, it's situation is one of the best in Au Nang. I'd stay there again but only in a room overlooking the pool.

We stayed at Aonang Silver Orchid Resort for 2 nites, and had 2 of the best nights of sleep I've had in a 4 years of travel around Asia. The beds are amazingly comfortable!seems to be fairly new, so everything is in great condition. The hotel The view from our balcony overlooked the lovely pool and garden, with a backdrop of some pretty amazing cliffs. The pool attendant took food & beverage orders to the kitchen & brought them to us poolside. Very peaceful location-- if you are looking for peace and quiet away from the busy main drag of Aonang. However, the main street is just a short walk--about 500m-- down the road, and you are instantly in the middle of a huge selection of restaurants, shops, massage salons, coffee shops, etc. It's a good kilometer or two down the main street to the beach, but it's an enjoyable walk, or there is plenty of local transportation. The breakfast buffet is adequate with several selections and an omelet bar. Make sure the taxi driver doesn't drop you at the Orchid Resort on the main drag...it's a different hotel.
