"All-in-all we had a wonderful overnight stay in White Knight. It's right in the middle of a cultural heritage site in Manila called Intramuros. I actually booked two rooms for me and my German fiance and for his parents. The parents were very happy with the room that they've got and they kept raving about the details put into the interior. They were very delighted to see in actuality the influence of the Spanish in terms of buildings, paintings, colors, culture, food, etc, all made possible because of that stay in White Knight. It's within the same compound as Casa Manila, which itself is a museum, and just across San Agustin Church which is again a cultural heritage site in the Philippines. There is a nice restaurant within the hotel and just right outside the hotel is the famous Barbara restaurant, a cozy coffee shop, an art gallery and a souvenir shop. It is also a few steps away from the National Commission Culture and the Arts where it is possible to visit the galleries at the ground floor which feature various artistic works. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends this hotel especially those who can only afford to have a day or two in Manila and would like to have a sneak peak of the Filipino culture."

"Getting married in Intramuros at San Agustin Church as we were, Bayleaf provided a perfect mix of luxury, location, and affordability we hoped to find. The staff are top notch - always smiling and looking for ways to help - even going out of their way on a couple occasions. The rooms are clean and the hotel and sky bar are very classy. Breakfast is delicious with much variety between local Filipino and American fare. The only two minor complaints: - No gym: With the heat, traffic, and pollution, it is not easy to get a workout in Manila. This might be a showstopper should we return back to Intramuros. - Sloppy drink orders: Of all the things we experienced, the rare and most surprising issue came courtesy of breakfast. Upon seating, they ask if you would like tea or coffee to drink. This order was messed up multiple times during our stay (once they gave 2 coffees when 1 each of coffee and tea were requested; the other they failed to give hot water after 3 separate requests over a 10 min period). All in all, if a gym is not needed, then I would highly recommend Bayleaf for others in a similar situation. We ended up with nearly 10 rooms and all in our party seemed happy."
