"If you’re a female, pay the extra and stay in a female only room. In winter, there isn’t muc atmosphere in the downstairs bar, so best to go out at night to eat/drink. Very close to the place Masséna, beach and the old town. Easy to get to on transport. "

"we stayed over christmas and had a great time. all the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff. good buffet breakfast every morning (cold meats, cheeses, fruit etc plus bacon and scrambled eggs, and a really good coffee selection) rooms were small but comfortable with fragonard toiletries. executive rooms have a balcony with sunloungers, probably very useful in summer but not so useful in december. small pool with hot tub. brilliant location near old town and bus stops. for 1 euro you can get anywhere on the cote d'azur. we went to monte carlo, cannes and st paul de vence (very pretty medieval village)"

"Great stay, only one night as in transit. We were happy with the location, in the Old Town, much more interesting that the new part. The beach is only one block away, and there is a private beach for guests (though you have to book ahead and pay). Beaches are poor after Australia - pebbles and people jammed in like sardines. However, the beach is a place to be seen, not necessarily to enjoy. In fact, if you want good beaches, Australia is the best destination for water quality, sand and space. Would recommend this for a taste of European Riviera"

"The rooftop has panoramic views all around Nice. The hotel is well located, a bit back from the beach away from the awful tourist streets. After checking in we visited the rooftop bar for some salad. We were impressed with the view and returned after dinner (the staff had recommended an excellent restaurant in the old town). We met some Nice locals who had come to the bar, as it seems to be well known in the area for its views. The furnishings in the room were a bit old but comfortable."

"My husband and I chose a Sea View Room. The view is really great over looking the Garden. But at night, it is quit noisy. My husband had to use ear plugs to cover the sound of the street/buses. We were there on a weekend, so everyone was out partying. We could hear people laughing at the streets. The breakfast selection was good. We were happy to find salad, very good baked breads. It is walking distance to the Old Town, Messena where you will find rows od good restaurants. It is also near a Tram station. W will definitely go back to this hotel but would get a city view instead."

"we stayed at hotel vendome for 4 nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. the location was just 5 minutes' walk from the beach-front and the old town. the staff were very friendly and everything worked well, the room was more spacious than i expected for the price and the type of the hotel, and it all made us feel very welcome. the breakfast was a bit pricey at 15 euros so after trying it once we used the nearby coffee shops/restaurants instead. however, i would happily recommend the hotel to any holiday travellers.
