Hotels near Ruins of St. Paul's

Very easy to go around Macau, thanks to the free shuttle buses provided by the big hotels. While our room was not available for early check in (12nn), we immediately headed to the very popular Cafe e Nata by Margaret. Good thing I made some researches about Macau so finding this place was a breeze (just a few minutes walk from the hotel). Next were the hotels - Grand Lisboa, Galaxy, Venetian, Okura, City of Dreams. They were all great, with chatacteristics of their own. Aside from the casinos, Macau also has interesting sites, like the senado square, ruins of St Paul, Macau tower, Guia Fort, etc, find time to visit them too. On the hotel, I believe Lisboa offers one of the best, if not the best deal. We were upgraded upon check in. The room, while quite dated, is huge. Everything was comfortable. I particularly loved the look and luxurious feel of the bathroom (they actually have Hermes toiletries!). And lastly, all the items in the minibar are free!

The hotel very nice especially their lobby. They free upgrade our room to a suite type, so sweet. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel staff all quite nice & helpful. The hotel got give us a voucher for welcome drinks but only normal drink just limited to 2 persons per room although our room is a triple room for 3 persons. They have a $50 value voucher for us to enjoy the slotting machines too. However, not many eateries nearby and is far from Ruins of St Paul's but public transport easy located nearby with walking distance. Can take bus no. 3 and stop nearby Senado Square, then just walking distance to Ruins of St Paul's, but prepare to walk alot. The hotel has free shuttle bus from ferry terminal to the hotel but no shuttle to airport, taxi is easy to get just in front of the hotel, approx MOP80. Overall we quite satisfied and happy to stay at the hotel.

My girl friend and me had a one night stayed at the hotel. Upon our arrival, there was late checked-in by the hotel on 4.00pm. Apart from that, everything was great. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and attended to our inquiries promptly. The hotel provided comprehensive Macau map and guide at the reception. It also provided luggage storage service to the customer as well. There was free shuttle bus from the hotel to Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal at an interval of 30 minutes. It was easy accessible from the hotel to various famous landmarks in Macau within walking distance; Lisboa Hotel and Wynn Hotel (10 minutes), Senado Square (15 minutes), Ruins of St. Paul (20 minutes), Golden Lotus Square (25 minutes) and Macau Fisherman's Wharf (30 minutes).

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16. We were over to see The House of Dancing Water (which was excellent - though beware, we saw the 5pm show and it's nigh impossible to get a taxi afterwards at the City of Dreams. We waited an hour) and decided that we wanted to stay away from the Cotai strip as we have no interest in gambling. The Sofitel’s rooms looked gorgeous and fell into a reasonable price bracket so having booked it the night before, we made our way over after the show. Upon check-in, we were surprised and delighted to have our room upgraded when the staff learned that the trip was a late birthday present for my girlfriend, and our suite on the 17th floor was nothing short of superb. All we wanted was a room with a comfortable bed and a bath big enough for the two of us to unwind in after a long day, and our upgraded digs ticked both boxes off - and then some. Fantastic views from up high, as well. Having missed our dinner reservations at Fernando's (due to the hour-long taxi wait at the City of Dreams), we decided to instead dine at the hotel's Mistral restaurant, treating ourselves to the buffet spread - which was excellent. As the hotel is located conveniently in town, near the western shore of Macau's northern part, we decided to walk into Macau's historic town the next day and see the sights such as the Ruins of St Paul's and the historic fortress on the hill (which also contains the history museum and offers a gorgeous view of the surrounds, including the Sofitel's striking building) before heading home to Hong Kong in the afternoon. All in all, we had a lovely short stay in Macau - in no small part due to our plush room and the great service we enjoyed from all of the hotel staff - and would definitely choose to stay again at the Sofitel Macau on Ponte 16.

I would recommend this hotel if you are on ur budget trip. Location is good, easy to get transportation, very near to the attractions Ruins of St Paul's and Senado Square. There are many restaurants around there by walking distance. The room was good same as the picture shown. I personally felt the bed a little bit hard however the hard beds are good for the elders and they like it very much. The staffs were nice and helpful. They solved our problems immediately once we seek for assistance. Worth for staying.

Location - great location, walking distance to Hotel Lisboa, Ruins of St. Paul! Hotel Service - great smile, efficiency, the staffs can speak English/Mandarin/Cantonese fluently. Hotel Room - small room but overall are clean and tidy. soft and comfortable bed, toilet with bath tub, and room locker are available. Hotel Features - hotel provide free shuttle bus to jetty, there's a bus station right in front of the hotel which provide free transportation to City of Dreams. Me and my friends stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Sintra, overall is a lovely hotel, the only thing to complain about was the wifi are not stable in the room! If you are looking for a hotel without a casino, Hotel Sintra will be a great choice!

Probably it is because of weekend stay, hotel price in Macau was generally higher than weekdays. After spending a lot of time searching, I decided to book Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel because of its convenient location. I used Google Map to look at the location. My mother was travelling with us and this was one of the very few hotels that offer 3 bedded room at a reasonable price. PROS: Convenient, 15 mins walk to Ruins of St Paul's, good public bus network, near ferry terminal accessible by bus 32 CONS: The only letdown was the inavailability of Free Wifi throughout our stay. Over promise and under-delivered

Pros 1. Hotel is within walking distance to the Ruins of St Paul, Senado Square and other tourist destinations. It is also near Sofitel Hotel where a free shuttle is available and open to tourist. 2. All the staff we met are english speaking. They are courteous and very helpful in giving directions so moving around is easy. Special thanks to the filipinos assigned in the dining and and to the receptionist. We were not able to ask all their names but one of them if we are not mistaken is jason 3. Room is clean and spacious. There is hot water. Con for me is the breskfast. Choices are limited.

I usually travel alone, and a hotel is just a place to crash after a long day of sightseeing. So I usually don't spend a lot on lodging. Victoria Hotel is one of the best hotel I've stayed at. The room and bathrooms are very spacious and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location is a bit north and out of the way, but it's great because I could experience the culture. Plus, there are 3 bus stops within 2 minute walking distance of the hotel. I did not eat at the hotel, so I have nothing to say about their food. Also, I did not bring a computer nor a smartphone, so I don't know if their wifi works or not. Overall, an awesome experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

Perfect location! It was just a few minutes' walk away from the major tourist sites - Ruins of St. Paul and Senado Square. From our hotel, we were also able to walk to Wynn Macau where we boarded the free shuttle going to Wynn Palace in Taipa. They also have shuttles to the ferry terminals and airport. Information would be on their website. The Tomato Portuguese restaurant (where we had our best meal in Macau) was also just around the corner. The double room is a bit old but it was clean and large enough for 2 people. It does not feel cramped at all - very spacious. If you prefer to have coffee first thing upon waking up, do bring some instant ones since they do not offer complimentary coffee. Also, be ready for a MOP300 deposit and they will return this upon check-out.

Stayed along with my parents and it was amazing. From its design outside which is very palace like to the inside where in interior very much like leave up to the design outside. Inside is very luxurious and detailed, room is very spacious and the bed is really comfortable. My mom is shocked on how the television goes up from the cabinet, but the best of all from this hotel are the staff who not only serve us but also made sure that we will be able to have unforgettable stay as it is the 31st anniversary of my parents. From the moment we enter the hotel the front line staff Amad, greeted us and helped us on our luggage and led us to the front desk. Eva did the checking in which is fast and very professional she even greeted my parents a happy anniversary as soon as she knew it. Rose escorted us to the room, she told us all the hotel facilities and room amenities. Brian from the Concierge helped us with our luggage and provided some information in Macau. He also waited for us near the recreation to escort us to go to the lounge on eight. Lyn from the lounge on eight is very nice and engaging, the overall experience in the lounge on eight which is already very good is greatly enhanced because of her costumer engagement. Upon going out. Jury helped us on where to go, he gave us detailed information on which place to visit and which is very good place to go as my mom is having difficulty on walking. The room attendant, Sam, Dennis and Jonathan did a good job, service was really fast. Upon going to recreation Yumiko did a good job even we find it hard to communicate she tried her best to explain every facilities to us at the recreation. The gallery bar is very nice and cozy aswell, it has a very elegant vibe in it and is greatly enhanced by what louie made for us. this is our first time staying in this hotel. it is not a very big hotel but it gives us a very homely feel. we love the room's decoration even though the room is small. the location of the hotel is about 5 minutes walk to senado square, the place where it will lead you to most of the places of interest, like ruins of st paul, mount fortress, na tcha temple, st dominic's church, etc. the room is neat and clean and the bed is comfortable too. the hotel may not be very well known by the taxi drivers. if you are going to macau from hong kong, take bus 3 or 3a from the macau ferry terminal (outer harbour) to go to the hotel. alight at the bus stop once you have passed the senado square and asked the locals for directions to the hotel. the hotel is located at a small alley. the hotel provides free wi-fi in the room and the network is strong. there are also many shops just outside the hotel that sell local products like portugese egg tarts, peanut candy, almond cookies, etc. if you want to go to taipa where many casinos are located, a taxi trip will cost you about mop65.

The very reason why i chose this hotel is because of some Filipino employees. I have read from the previous reviews that they have Filipino employees here. It makes us feel comfortable and safe to have some fellow countrymen in other country. The hotel is a walking distance to Square and Ruins of St. Paul. In front of the hotel is a little park where you can sit down and relax. 7 11 convenience store is just around the corner and in front of it is the bus stop if you want to stroll around the city. There is no hassle upon checking in. It took only a minute and we already proceeded to our room. They ask for 500MOP as a deposit. Our room is very clean and spacious. The bathroom is super clean. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends in the Phils if they will visit Macau. For sure, i would love to stay here again. Thank you Best Western Sun Sun Hotel. We had a good night sleep.

This is without a doubt one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was spacious and beautiful, with a balcony facing Fisherman's Wharf, which offers a great view except in my case it was hampered by bad weather. You can expect all the usual amenities, and the staff provided excellent service. However, if you are looking for easier access to the city area e.g. St Paul's Ruins or Venetian, it will be a bit far from Fisherman's Wharf. Sands Casino is nearby, and if you can walk there, there should be shuttle buses to Venetian.

It is my third time staying back at Presidente hotel, it's where you can do casino-hopping. Even if you don't gamble, it is still a jaw dropping experience. Come back to Presidente, the lobby looks grand from the gold cravings with the marble design abit mixture of chinese and western design. We arrived there at 10 plus am, checked in but the room was not ready yet which was understandable. So we just checked our luggage at the lobby and went to hunt for local food just behind Presidente. The modern HK style cafeteria I'm recommending is directly opposite Holiday Inn hotel across the road, most right side at the corner. Food is good, resonable pricing and quite a number of foods to choose. After having our early lunch, we went back to the hotel to try our luck in checking in at 11 plus am. The staff told us the non-smoking connecting rooms, one of it is not ready and she is not sure whether will the guests be checking out. She gave us a choice to check into the smoking connecting rooms at the top floor. We looked hesitated as all of us are non smokers, the staff went the extra mile in letting us check the room before checking us in. The room did not have a strong smoke stench, so we were alright with it. Chinese do have a habit when you are playing slots, they would insert their own membership card into your machine without your permission to gain points. They also like to pay attention girl that are gambling alone there, pretty make people uncomfortable especially we will split up when we are in the casino. Overall, I would stay in Presidente if I return to macau especially when I will be bringing my first timer friends or relatives to macau. It is just too convenient to even walk to the Ruins of St Paul, there is also good foods to stop by and eat and stuffs to shop for along the way. Thumbs up!!

I visited Macau for 2 days 1 night with wife and 3 children The hotel is new, clean and has spacious room. The staffs were very helpful. Yes its located quite far from the city but there is a bus mini terminal nearby, we can take bus number 18A to go to The Ruin of st. Paul. will take approx 15-20 minutes to get there. Restaurants, mcDonalds, mini mart is a walking distance We enjoyed our time there and would recommend this hotel for family.

From macau outer ferry, took the sofitel ponte 16 free shuttle. Walk 5mins to the left and you will find macau masters hotel, they have 2 entrance at the middle & right of the building. Ruins of st paul etc is around 10mins walk. They also have good and cheap midnight foods around the corner (try the noodle & chinese restaurant on the 5 mins walk to the right of the hotel. The noodle is near a zebra cross, next to pharmacy. The chinese food is on its next, just walk to the left at the end of the road. Nicee!!)

homelike rooms, very clean, mini bar is free. sights on the top floor of the hotel was beautiful, pool area, close to city center, just walk away for about 15 minutes had reached the center of town, and 30 minutes to the ruins of buildings bersejaran saint paul, namyak traditional food in the city center, building architecture a very luxurious hotel especially at night and the atmosphere of Christmas, on the walls of many of the lights of the colorful picture, very beautiful, there is also a buffet restaurant not too expensive which is located near the MGM casino, just per person, seafood and other food in great delicious

It was a super comfortable stay in this hotel. I love it that the hotel management made sure the room is ready, clean, and that everything is available like towels, hot water, toiletries, bed, aircon, kettle. They gave us two big twin beds which was noted in my request. Although the receptionist cannot speak english fluently, I say he is okay. We were given with rooms right away upon arrival. It is a 2 minute walk from hotel to tourist spots like Ruins of St Paul, Macau Museum, Senado Square, Monte Port. It is also close to shops and restaurants. The cost of living in this area is relatively cheaper compare to Taipa area. I like it that there also 7 eleven and Mcdonalds close to the hotel.

Staff is accommodating. We have a late night flight, and they allow us to checkout at 2PM for free. Breakfast is okay, it’s not buffet but thats fine. Unlimited bread, juice and coffee though. Our housekeeper is a Pinay which adds more points to this hotel. Location is good. Jollibee is just at the back of the hotel. Walking distance to Ruins of St. Paul. Just across the hotel, there’s a mall. If you use your friends credit card to book , they will not charge it there. They will just reserve it. And you have to pay in cash when you arrive if the credit card holder is not with you. Good thing we have extra cash for that. You may leave your things in the lobby once you check out so that you can still go around to buy pasalubong.
