Chiang Mai Riverside,Chiang Mai - View on map
"Impressive design and service. Great location by the ping river and reflects the term of "sanctuary" claimed by the hotel. (own vehicle required to move around). Breakfast was one of the best we ever had with great selections - local and international, served by a la carte menu style (doubt if it will be too busy and slow in peak season) . Will recommend to anyone (already did actually) . Love it and it is has become our most favorite place in Chiang Mai. will definitely return there."

Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai (SHA Plus+)
Mae Rim,Chiang Mai - View on map
"Four Seasons Chiang Mai left us breatheless and wanting for more. From the moment we arrived to the day we depart, all our wishes and requests were fulfilled by just pressing '1' -guest relations. Impecable service! Private dinner at the Rice Barn is a must have. Beautiful decorations, music, mouth watering dishes coupled with the surroundings of the lake and lanna made the dining a wonderful experience. No efforts was spared by the Chef and Didi the waitress who served us. It was an evening never to be forgotten. Our entire stay at Four Seasons Chiang Mai was just perfect. Thank you to all the service staff who by the way constantly have a smile; that made our holiday so enjoyable and memorable. "

At Chiang Mai Hotel (SHA Extra Plus)
Old City,Chiang Mai - View on map
"This is a very nice hotel, located in the Old City, near a lot of restaurants (fancy and not so fancy), and walking distance to the night market. The staff will go above and beyond to accommodate you in any way they can. The front desk staff speak English...a rare commodity in Chiang Mai. My special thanks to Nam and Off. These ladies are smart and sharp. They take care of you and watch out for your best interest like they are your best friend in Chiang Mai. The breakfast buffet was nice, clean, and with a good verity. The hotel has a nice shower with shower heads that when you turn on the water, you feel like you got hit by a tsunami... no shortage of water here. The beds are not very soft, but I still got a good night sleep. The hotel has a small restaurant in front of the hotel. I ate there often because they were clean and I trusted their cleaning level. While eating on the streets could be fun, you are taking a chance in getting sick. I hear medical care for forigners could be quite costly. I didn't get travelers insurance, but I wish I had. I'm almost at the end of my trip, so... too late now. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. If I return to Chiang Mai, I would chose this place to stay. "

Chala Number 6 (SHA Extra Plus)
Old City,Chiang Mai - View on map
"Thank you Chala No 6 for a fantastic stay in Chiang Mai. The hotel is not only well located in the old city , it also has a team of wonderful staff - from the front desk to the cleaning team. The front desk staff , in particular , Ms Cartoon (front desk assistant manager) is an exemplary example of traditional Thai hospitality. Despite a very frustrating experience with the car rental company,(through the hotel) , she was very understanding , patient & helpful in lending us support when we had to talk to the car rental company. She stepped in to resolve the issue so we could enjoy the rest of our holiday. We are very grateful for her intervention and assistance. We will definitely return to Chiang Mai and will not hesitate to stay in Chala No 6 again. "

"Such a great stay here for two nights. Close to the night markets and old town wall and many other attractions. But the best thing is the helpfully staff - they were friendly, helpfully, and so nice. Would 100% stay here again if back in Chiang Mai again."

Rachamankha Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Old City,Chiang Mai - View on map
"Although I travel a lot, the Rachamankha is easily the best hotel I have stayed at in Thailand, and perhaps anywhere. I lived in Thailand for over a year so am familiar with Thai service and food, but the Rachamankha topped any experience yet. The owner is apparently a Thai architect who has restored the building carefully, and who uses the hotel and the gallery to house part of his collection of Nothern Thai antiques. The care and attention is clear in the details throughout the cloistered courtyards and in each room. As an aside, the hotel is very well situated next to Wat Phra Singh and inside Chiang Mai's old town. The food at the restaurant is excellent - the Pad Thai is a contradication, being a peasant dish that tastes like a Michelin starred chef prepared it. The service is excellent - attentive, but unobtrusive - and the best I have had in Thailand. Yet it very reasonably priced, compared both to restaurants in Bangkok and in Chiang Mai (approx THB 220 for a main dish). I chanced upon the Rachamankha while trying to book a decent but not too expensive hotel for a weekend in Chiang Mai for the girlfriend. Having stayed at the Rachamankha I will be back to Chiang Mai just for the hotel."

U Chiang Mai (SHA Plus+)
Old City,Chiang Mai - View on map
"We stayed at the U Chiang Mai on the third leg of our honeymoon. It was the PERFECT hotel in Chiang Mai. Very centrally located and easy to walk everywhere. It was no more than a 100baht tuk tuk ride to the night bazaar and the perfect location to explore the old city. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. On arrival, we went into the lobby to ask about calling out of the room to book tours and rather than just instructing us how, they called to see if there was availability and booked all of our tours for us for no extra fee. I will stay at the U Chiang Mai every time I visit Chiang Mai in the future."

137 Pillars House (SHA Extra Plus)
Nawarat,Chiang Mai - View on map
"Suggest to rename hotel to 137 Heaven. Peaceful, peaceful, peaceful. We booked the pool villa and although probably not the best pool the rest of the accommodation was simply divine. The staff were unbelievably attentive and observant, particularly the personal butler. The food at the restaurant was the best we have eaten in Thailand. I know 137 Pillars isn't the cheapest place in Thailand and you should expect more if you pay more but how often are you disappointed because your expectations have not been met? On this occasion and for our expectation levels (which we consider to be reasonable) we can not fault the staff or the standard of the hotel for completely meeting and surpassing our expectations. Chiang Mai was lovely, but once you've done it, you've done it ... too much else to see, too little time to do it!"

Chedi Home (SHA Extra Plus)
Tha Phae,Chiang Mai - View on map
"My parents and I visited Chedi Home and could not have been happier. I lived in Chiang Mai for a bit and knew I wanted to stay in the area because the location is great. It's located on a cute and quiet sidestreet and it's easy to get to many of the main Chiang Mai attractions (walking or by taxi). The staff was so so friendly and accommodating, the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and cool, and the breakfast included was AMAZING (so much food: fresh fruit, coffee, juice, etc.). It was a perfect little place to hang out and relax when the heat was too much, with great juices and shakes and a cute pool. Overall incredibly satisfied with out stay and we could not recommend Chedi Home enough to anyone headed to Chiang Mai, we'll stay here every time we're here in the future!!"
