“Lovely resort and excellent value ”
I was a bit hesitate to book this hotel as the latest reviews I read were a mix of good and bad. I decided to book just two nights and if it wasn't up to my standards then I could easily move on to another hotel. I booked one of the superior cottages and was extremely happy when I was given one of the cottages in front of the main swimming pool and also had a sea view. The bed was extremely comfortable. I decided to extend my stay by a further 3 nights and then kept extending for a total of 12 nights. However, the cottages were booked up after 5 nights so I moved to the Deluxe sea view room which was an even better room. I don't know why some people give this hotel a bad review as there's nothing to complain about to be fair, plus the prices they are charging per night at the moment is excellent value. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. The breakfast was included. I'm vegetarian so I only had wholemeal toast and coffee every morning, but it was sufficient for me. The main pool was clean and had a beautiful view looking at the sea. You can access the beach via a staircase providing the tide is out. My only criticism would be maybe have some parasols by the pool for the loungers. The hotel is in the white sand beach area and is ideal to walk to all the bars and restaurants in the area. If I go back to Koh Chang I'll definitely stay here again. I was initially hesitant to book this hotel because recent reviews were a mix of positives and negatives. To be safe, I reserved just two nights, planning to move to another resort if it didn’t meet my expectations. I chose one of the superior cottages and was happy to be assigned one right in front of the main swimming pool with a sea view. The bed was incredibly comfortable. After my first two nights, I decided to extend my stay by three more nights and then kept extending until I stayed a total of 12 nights! Once the cottages were fully booked after five nights, I moved into a Deluxe sea view room, which was even better. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews this hotel sometimes gets, as I found nothing to complain about. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Breakfast was included; as a vegetarian, I only had wholemeal toast and coffee each morning, which was sufficient for me. The main pool was cleaned every day and offered stunning views of the sea. You can access the beach via a staircase, as long as the tide is low. The only minor downside for me was the lack of parasols by the pool loungers, which would have been a nice addition. The hotel is located in the white sand beach area, making it easy to walk to nearby bars and restaurants. If I return to Koh Chang, I will definitely stay here again.
