No regrets booking this hotel. It's really beautiful and overall I had a pleasant stay. As I reached much earlier than the shuttle bus timing, I took a cab to the hotel using the 55688 app and it cost NT115 from Xincheng Train Station. The views surrounding the hotel is splendid and it is just 3 min walk to the beach. There are 3 different buildings in this hotel, so make sure you book the correct room & building. I did not realise that I booked a different building from the main Tranquility Building, it's okay, the room is still super comfortable, clean and with beautiful window views. I like the toilet the most with the bath tub and japan style toilet bowl. There were complimentary drinks and snacks in the room as well. There is water dispenser outside the room so there's no need to boil water. The rest of the facilities are good (pool, etc) and the breakfast buffet is awesome. There are only 3 things that they could have done better as a 5 star hotel. One is to upgrade their TVs to smart TV that allow casting, the TV remote controller doesn't work very well if you are sitting on the couch. Two is to have room service, if not, vending machine selling more food (e.g. cup noodles/ready to eat food etc) or a small store selling some food. As the place is remote, there ain't any convenient stores or restaurants nearby to get dinner. Three, their only restaurant doesn't have vegetarian menu or dishes. They are able to modify the dishes but the taste is below average. It's quite disappointing for a 5 star hotel, and we are in Taiwan, where there are quite a big group of vegetarians and vegans in the country, hope they will be able to improve their menu to cater to international guests.

Lovely hotel next door to the beach with super clean facilities. Beds comfortable, bath was large and relaxing. Restaurant food was tasty, though only one restaurant choice which made it difficult if staying more than 1 night as the location is quite remote. The staff were super helpful and easily arranged a last minute guided tour in English of the Taroko gorge. And helped arrange taxi to Hualien to visit the charming night market. My husband and I took an enjoyable 5km run through the fields which was rather scenic at the foot of the mountains. Overall a really enjoyable experience.

Room is clean and new, with view of the Pacific Ocean. Staffs are attentive and provide excellent service. Morning breakfast is excellent, with international, Japanese, Taiwanese and local Hualien delicacies. Amazingly delicious spread. Though located away from city center, it is just 20-30min away by taxi and hotel staffs are helpful in arranging a taxi for me. Will be back if I visit taroko national park again.

This hotel has got 3 separate buildings and it is important to take note of which building you book your room at so that you can park at the correct place. That said, even if you park in another place, you can still check in and just move your car when it is convenient for you. The staff helped us move our luggage from one building to the next to make things easier for us as we went to the wrong building. The deluxe family room is very spacious but we were also told that unfortunately, these rooms are all at lower floors and so, we didnt get a room at higher floors which we had requested. Snacks and beverages in the room are complementary and the staff topped up the snacks and beverages for us even though we didnt consume any during our first night. It was a sweet gesture. There is a pool and 2 small warm pools available on 2nd floor. There is also sauna and steam bath there. Unfortunately, there isnt a proper gym and there are only 3 or 4 stepup and cycling machines available. Quite disappointing for what should be a 5 star hotel. Visitors who need extra travel adapters can loan from the reception with a 200NTD deposit which will refunded when you check out. Breakfast was pretty standard and the menu items are very similar to other Lakeshore hotels. It does include ice cream though, although I am sure not many would consume ice cream for breakfast. Their chocolate ice cream was especially good.

“Great breakfast buffet in the middle of nowhere”
Stayed here for two nights at the end of 2024 so it was really cold and heading to the beach was obviously not a choice activity. The hotel is comprised of three buildings, and we stayed at the one furthest from where the breakfast buffet and amenities were, the Serenity building. The walk wasn't far, but I see how it can be difficult and/or annoying for some. The breakfast buffet was GREAT. While it was the same choices for the two nights we were there for, it is still definitely enough to have a different breakfast every day for maybe a week. Best part too is that it starts at 6:30am and ends at 1:30pm. The downside of this hotel is that... there is absolutely nothing to do within its immediate vicinity. We did see another building being constructed nearer to the main road of the same hotel brand so maybe that building will have more activities for guests? We drove into the city which took us around 20mins. As for the room, it was clean and really spacious. There was even a bigger than usual bathtub that we enjoyed. As for laundry, there's only one washing machine and one dryer in the main building. There was another combined washer and dryer that was not functioning when we were there. The hotel was really nice and I would love to return if there were more things to do around. But if you're looking for a place to just do nothing at, it's a great place for that.
