Safe Save and the Best”

we live in dubai but we travel to chiang mai at least once a month as our children study in boarding school in chiang mai. we stay in many many highend places in chiang mai which were really nice and pricey. after we found "lotus pang suan kaew chiang mai" and stay here, it's just right about the location, safety, service and the hotel offer all guests free pick up from chiang mai airport too! we went back ther more than 7 times already since march 2011 and we booked the rooms with "agoda.com" only because so far this website is the best price and the best promotion (free room upgrade) compared to the others. i can pay 3 rooms per night as equal price as one night only @ the hotels i stay in chiang mai before. our family from uk also love this place, it's look gorgeous when you take pictures.

Very good location near the shopping complex”

We visited Chiang Mai 2 weeks ago. And unfortunately, our mom has to stay in the Chiang Mai Ram hospital which is located at the central of Chiang Mai. So we have to change hotel to somewhere nearer to the hospital. We found that this hotel location is nearer to not only the Chiang Mai Ram hospital but also the Kad Suan Kaew shopping complex. Although we love to stay near to nature when we go Chaing Mai but we found out that if we have old travellers with our group, it is better find hotel in the CBU area. And Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel is the best fit for us.

Relaxing and very enjoyable”

This is a very welcoming hotel. It isn't 5*, but it is comfortable, clean, traditional Northern Thai style decor; Love the amphitheatre style foyer with glass lifts (though with the hotel being older, very large & extremely busy, sometimes faster to use the stairs than take the lift). Efficient, helpful & friendly check-in staff...also tour desk lady helpful. So much enjoyed the nightly entertainment (free)..Thai female singers (beautiful voices..singing songs in Thai & mostly English - huge repertoire; the band very good also. Fun atmosphere as very busy & lots of people dancing to music. Fantastic shopping on doorstep - everything you could want to buy...groceries, clothing, chemists, IT, food stalls, handicrafts, cafes, restaurants etc. Just down the road from Hua Rin Corner, the 'Old City' area. Can walk to CBD and night markets or short tuk-tuk ride. Chinatown & flower markets closeby. 2nd time this year have stayed at LOTUS PANG SUAN KAEW HOTEL and look forward to staying again. First time, felt the breakfast was more impressive, but it is still very good. Love the traditional coconut mini pancakes - sweet/savour (corn/spring onions).

Great Family Hotel!”

Lotus Pang Suan Kaew is the perfect family hotel in Chiang Mai. It's centrally located, attached to Kad Suan Kaew Mall (with Children's Play Areas and Cinema). Our room was a perfect size for our family. I highly recommend the Deluxe Rooms: They are big, with a small lounge area, very clean & modern, with lots of light. Totally worth the extra 200baht. I have stayed in the Superior rooms in the past, and they are dark, dank and moldy, making it hard to breathe. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Perfect location for what we need”

The lotus is always a first choice for us while in Chiang Mai. Usually, the reason we are there is for medical, dental and wanting some western food. It is built into the Kad Suan kaew/Central mall--which makes buying essentials, imported clothes and getting western food a breeze. Ram Hospital is literally just around the corner and a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Dental Land is our favorite dental clinic there ans is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Across the street is good Thai, Mexican and sandwich shop. Note that we stayed in the new section of the hotel and not the old. Same amenities, but much older feel to the rooms. Breakfast is nothing compared to the Empress near the night market.

Best for price”

Enjoyed my stay with Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel! The room is spacious! Breakfast has many options! Even though the hotel location is a bit far from the city center, compared with what it offers to the guests, it is still very worthwhile to stay here, as the taxi fee to the ancity city or bus terminal is just around 40baht! Every taxi driver seems know where this hotel is!

Good place, good value”

We like this place. Hotel prices in Chiang Mai are generally low these days, and the Lotus price on Agoda was very good. Before booking, I walked into the lobby and was told there were no available rooms. So, I immediately booked using the Agoda app - and it went through! Not sure how that was possible. Anyway, the hotel rooms are large, and hotel public spaces are huge. Our room was clean, beds and bedding ok. Location is on Huay Keo road, not far from Chiang Mai U, the city zoo, Nimanhaemen road,and the various sites on Doi Suthep. We chose not to stay near the Night Bazaar, which is fun for a walk in the evening but on the very tacky side during the day. The Lotus is attached to the large Kad Suan Keo mall, which has a number of inexpensiveThai massage places and a local-food court in the basement which has some good and healthy offerings. I've eaten there many times. All in all, the Lotus is a very good place, I have found.

Clean and quiet”

It is cool hotel with old building but I dis like internet as Internet is free of charge. I have been to Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia nobody charge for internet access but Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel does.......please re-think about this as it is benefit to you not me.

Great location”

Probably the most convenient hotel in Chiang Mai for shopping and great food. Hotel next to Pang Suan Kaew mall and you can get everything from food, clothes, shoes etc. Down at the basement you can get street food, souveniers and weekend there are concerts free of charge. Good for holiday makers on a budget. The room (deluxe) is very big and the bed is nice and large. Friendly staff, even the housekeeping are nice. The food is not good. Pretty normal. I did not use any dining facility as it is so convenient to find somewhere else. There is a Starbucks nearby if you want to serve the net. Do not pay for the hotel's broadband--expensive! I will definitely come back as I feel this is better than the more reputable hotels. You certainly get a Thai feel in this place.

Really big rooms and olympic size swimming pool, next to a mall.”

This is a huge hotel for tour groups, but it is also nice for individual travellers because groups usually leave early and come back late, so you have the hotel for yourself during the day. This is the biggest swimming pool in Chiang Mai (better than the Shangri-la), the deluxe room in the 12th floor are relatively quiet, and the breakfast is OK. Another plus is the proximity of the Kad Suan Kaew shopping mall, and the backstreets of the Nimmanheimin area. If you want to go to the old town it is just across the moat, but i suggest you hire a cab from the mall or a tuk-tuk/ songhtaow because this crossing is deadly for pedestrian. Anyway the Chiang mai ram hospital is next door if you get run-over by a crazy teenager on his bike like i have. All in all this is a good hotel which can seem ugly on the outside but who cares once you live inside! You just have to avoid the tour group rush hour between 8 and 9.30 am if you don't want to wait for the lift.

The best hotel for the price in Chiang Mai”

I always stay here when I'm in Chiang Mai. Staff are so great, really friendly and the facilities are good, It's got a nice dated charm to it, nice and quiet, great pool and the breakfast is excellent. Great location out of the old city / night market area next to Kad Suan Kaew mall - the downstairs food court is great value as is the evening food market at the front of the mall Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Can't recommend this place enough.

Very suitable location”

This hotel is the part of Kad suan kaew shopping center. There have convenience utilities, transportation, and other. You can take a cab to Chiang Mai Zoo or Doi suthep mount in a minute. You can walk around the ancient city, and last one, you can have a beautiful and romantic room as well as great hospitality.

relaxing, enjoyable”

Very nice huge hotel, standard Huay Kaew wing is not the nicest wing which is why it is cheaper and you have to pay quite a it for wifi if you want it, which I didn't, but you still have access to the fitness center, pool, and an awesome breakfast included with Thai and foreign food. I think you can find cheaper hotels but it is quite nice. It is connected the second best shopping mall in Chiang Mai, which is less fancy but also cheaper and more Thai. I like it. You can get a taxi type truck at the main road which is a little bit of a walk but doable. If you want to be near the center of a lot of business this is probably not the place for you. Even though it connected to a shopping mall it is on the back side and quiet. You can rent motorbikes across from the mall if you want to get around also. That might be be cheaper than taking red trucks if you want to look around the city and you can stop where ever you want.

Best hotel I've found in Chaing Mai”

I stay here whenever I'm in Chiang Mai. Great location next to Kad Suan Kaew shopping mall, huge swimming pool, excellent breakfast and the staff are so welcoming, kind and helpful. Recommend the Thai food market the mall and the night food market out the front of the mall on the weekends.

The Most Convenient Hotel”

I have stayed here twice and will come back again.It must be the hotel using most wood for the interior and has the Thai look. Rooms are huge and cheap. There is a night market just outside the hotel during weekends selling food and clothings etc. Not far from all spas and massage parlors. Convenient to catch a car or tuk tuk to wherever you want to go. There are Starbucks, MK and multitude of restaurants next door at Pang Suan Kaew and you can get your stuff and food there. Facilities are ok with a nice pool and gym. Suitable for businessmen, families or couples. Maybe not for very fuzzy people as it is not a 5 star hotel with tip top facilities. Ample parking space and popular with tourists. If you need a very quiet place by yourself, then it's not suitable for you.

Great swimming pool!”

We enjoyed our stay at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel. Our children particularly love the large outdoor swimming pool, and we appreciated the convenient location next to a shopping mall with a number of decent restaurants within walking distance. At times we found the service somewhat unreliable at times having to remind staff several times to clean our room etc. Overall though it was a good experience.

Pang Suan Kaew Chiangmai”

The hotel lived up to expectations based upon our previous experiences there. We have stayed at Pang Suan Kaew on a number of occasions and have found it to be conveniently located, comfortable, clean and accommodating in addressing any minor queries. The staff are excellent and very efficient even in busy periods and in attending to very rude Chinese guests.

good view and close to shopping mall”

Overall, my stay at the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel was positive. The room was clean and had a good view and was adjacent to a mall with restaurants. The only negative was the internet. You have to get a special password to put into your computer and you can't use the pw across other computers, kindle, phone. Since I was staying on a day by day basis, it was quite frustrating not to have just one password that I didn't have to keep signing into. I was carrying two computers, a kindle and a phone. The staff usually gave me more papers with passwords without trouble but the last day, the lady said they give only one out (though thankfully she allowed me two) but it got old not being able to simply use all my electronics on one pw the whole time.

Easy going City HOtel”

i enjoyed my stay at lotus pang suan kaew(please choose delux room up)i don't mind for old fashion hotel.it has central department store and starbucks coffee which is so good for me and my family the room i got(delux) is big enough for family with children to stay in.
