“Too much hassle”
When we got there, I was informed that an authorization letter from the unit owner was needed for us to be able to check-in. I emailed the owner and he told me an I.D. is required for the authorization letter. We were also asked to move our car because we did not have an "authorization" to park. I booked this place because the ad said there's parking and swimming pool. It didn't say I have to get and "authorization" to park and to use the pool. We parked in SM Southmall's parking which is a few minutes away but had to walk under the heat of the sun to get there. Credit to the owner for getting us a parking space a few hours after but we had to pay an extra Php300 for it. Everything was too much of a hassle. I booked the place a few days early and I wasn't informed of any of these. The back-and-forth communication was too much of a hassle. We tried to be patient about the situation to not add to an already stressful weather and from a 7-hour trip coming from our province. This is a misrepresentation of this owner's rental business. As a business owner, you are expected to be transparent about your offer and ad. The owner needs to have a sense of responsibility to the customers and be clear with the arrangement before putting his property under the listing. Other inconveniences: authorization on use of amenities, e.g. kiddie pool, parking slot was not coordinated to the management prior to our arrival. Hence, we were questioned by the security couple of times. Our stay was made inconvenient and burdensome due to these back-and-forth issues with the management and the unit owner.
