Mandaluyong hotels & places to stay

In terms of rates, it is very affordable since it is still a soft opening when we stayed there just for a night sleep. But the best feature of the hotel is thier location since it is next to SM Mega Mall, very near other shopping malls as well as other business establishments in Ortigas or Mandaluyong. Since, new their rooms are very clean and all amenities are new.

This is my second stay in a Red Planet hotel, the other being in Cebu. I really like the Red Planet chain - all hotels appear to be pretty much the same, so they are instantaneously recognizable and you sort of sense a homely feel because of that. Rooms are very small, and one definite downside is that there is no coffee-making facilities, and very little else besides. Notably, staff in these hotels are always extremely polite, and it's no different here. Location is not so great, even though it's central-ish Mandaluyong. Not near any shops or restaurants. But, to change the subject, the shower is great - flathead that shoots out a ton of hot water - always a pleasurable experience when you reside in the Philippines. Overall, definitely recommended.

i am very much happy that there's agoda wherein you can stay with a very much cheaper hotel with low cost,satisfied and high quality experience. lancaster hotel in mandaluyong is very relaxing place and you can experience a 5 star hotel accommodation, i love their mini kitchen and not strict in all aspect which is also an advantage and convenient. thank you agoda for this lancasterrific experience of me and my family! cheers!

We are a family of 4 (Mom, Dad, 2 kids, ages 8 and 5). We stayed in a villa suite, which included 2 queen-sized beds and full bathroom (with whirlpool tub and shower) on the second floor, and a "living room" with kitchenette and bathroom on the main floor. The beds were clean and comfortable. The A/C worked well. There was one tv on each floor. Our rate, booked through Agoda, included buffet breakfast, which had both Filipino and American selections. Freshly prepared eggs, omelettes, and pancakes were available upon request. The food was very good. The fruit was fresh. The swimming pool was nice - clean, comfortable water temperature, and staffed by lifeguard. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Streets not so easy to cross due to high traffic volume. The only negative was traffic getting to and from hotel from various points around Manila, but that is probably true of all hotels in Mandaluyong area.

I booked the Shaw Residenza suites in the last minutes before our trip. Fortunately, I got the promotional discount, so it was really a worth price. The location is near from SM Megamal, we can walk by. The Building position near the supermarket and local cake shop. The staffs are helpful, the room facilities are good. Despite the Manila's traffic, and if you are having business trip in the center of Metro Manila (Mandaluyong or Pasig area), I recommend you to stay here.

It was relaxing. Again, Agoda has failed me to offer a cheaper rate. Turns out, Rio Suites is offering an additional 20% discount if you book through their website, which the owner and the hotel receptionist told me when I decided to extend my stay for another night. Rio Suites, offers value for money, great attentive, friendly and helpful staffs. Breakfast in bed is a plus.

Selection is limited but freshly prepared. clean comfortable dining area. 3. accomodating and smiling staff 4. newly renovated rooms at par with 4 star hotels 5. old rooms need fumigation, some insects crawling in the bathroom 6. hot cold shower not working properly in a room we occupied 7. daily newspapers provided in the lobby, not delivered in your room. you can bring the newspaper to bfast and to your room 8. clean! clean rooms, clean sheets, clean towels, clean bathrooms 9. Traffic noise level in rooms near EDSA very high, you might not get a decent sleep unless youre used to that kind of noise. 10. over-all. Value for money. Affordable and very near malls

Thank you for accommodating our last minute reservation and for assisting our needs especially for helping our Senior Citizen parents. Kudos! Best Budget hotel. This is a place where you can save money for accommodation and the location is in the busy road of EDSA. P.S. Don't expect too much for the budget that you have. If you think you are looking for a luxury place, there's some luxury hotel in the area. But if you are in tight budget, you can always stay here. I save a lot of money for the 3 days stay we have in the metro.

Sir Rick told me that there was a glitch in their system and the bed in the unit were supposed to occupy was full. He told me that he will transfer me and my daughter to another hostel. I was quite upset since we were very tired. Good thing he was able to secure his friend's unit for us and it is just the opposite of his condo! Instead of being just a backpacker, we ended up occupying a small room. I even think we had the whole unit for ourselves! It was very comfy for us. Sir Rick and his son and daughter was really hospitable! Another good thing, breakfast is FREE! And it was served hot! How cool is that?! Another amazing thing about staying at Pinoy Backpackers is you get to enjoy the pool! If you have time, you can enjoy a dip in the pool of which my daughter enjoyed! :) I highly recommend Pinoy Backpackers because it is really a great deal, with awesome hosts! It is near Boni MRT station as well. See you next time! :-)

I go here often twice to thrice a month, and it never fails to meet value-for-money not to mention ease in checking in and out. The only thing I would suggest, is that they finally accept Credit Cards within the establishment that does not have requirement minimum charge of at least P5000. This is for convenience. Also, some airconditioning units may need to be upgraded due to the wear and tear. Apart from that, still a place to be.

From beginning of my booking my host has been nothing but nice and understanding to me and my family, I got to the place from a 6hour drive with my kids and family and arrived at the place at 4am and they came to the place to personaly give me the key instead of letting us wait until 8am they too the time to go out of the way and let us in room is really clean, and very honest to what they put on the description of the place, walking distance from food and entertainment! I would definitely book whit them again! And would recommend this place to anyone with small kids or just for 2-4adults! Thank you for making our stay here worth every moment we have enjoyed our first stay in this area!

If you wish to stay there for at least 12 hrs or less, simply go there instead of booking online. It is not worth the money. The room was a bit small and the toothpaste and soap were not free. I think this is not good for "decent" travelers unless you are there with someone who wants to have a quickie fun as what I read on the wall. Overall, not a good place to stay for a group and the breakfast too isn't worth your money. Find somewhere else. I recommend the hotel I first booked in North Edsa. I just chose this because I thought this was near the mall and my sister's place/

Renting this unit was one of the smartest decisions I had to make for this trip. I based my choice on the excellent reviews. Now I’m writing an excellent review myself. The unit itself is nothing fancy— basic but very clean. The lobby staff are polite and helpful. The lobby, though, could get really busy and chaotic, but the staff are trying their best to manage this. I also liked the convenient location — easy access to public transport and the mall. I think what makes this unit a cut above the rest is the host/owner who is very responsive (as another review also mentioned) and respectful. I will definitely recommend this unit to friends/family.

The unit has complete cooking utensils (for preparing a typical Filipino meal), space for 4 persons is just right, and since the condo is located beside Boni MRT station, it is in the middle of the metro with easy access to the destinations in our itinerary. The toiletries are very limited (tissue and 2 towels) so you should bring your own, which isn't a hassle because there's a mall in the building. Just note that the unit is a condo for rent and is not a hotel, so don't expect room service and hospitality. You need to clean up and throw the trash. Overall, much-recommended!

Decent place to stay, its in a high rise apartment complex. Enough elevators so you can get in and out quickly. On a bus line, and taxis always around. SM Light Mall is part of the complex, many fast food and other restaurants. A good grocery store also. About 1 mile from SM Mega Mall, easy to get there, buses run there in about 10 minutes. Room is about 10 ft x 25 feet, so 250 sq ft. Well laid out, so it feels ok size for 2 people. Small TV, couch (could be upgraded for longer stay though), and bed has a decent foam mattress. You can hear some road noise, but on the 29th floor, its not too bad. Has a 2 heater pad for cooking, a few dishes, pots, pans so you could cook if you wish. Good size refrigerator too. Its a good value, and good comfortable place.

Wasn’t expecting much really when booking this pad since there’s no review yet. But this is cheaper compared to other deals so I booked it anyway. Check in was fast no hiccups. Room was sparkling clean. Wasn’t expecting free coffee and tea but they offered generous amount of these plus the toiletries were all new! Beddings were all new as well! Wifi though is a bit slow but I just needed this place for overnight stay so it’s really not a pain. It’s so close to anything you can just walk around. Would be booking this pad again! Affordable pad in the city!

I am impressed with the security/medical response team. Firstly, when my skirt got caught on the escalator (though i was the 1 who pushed the stop button). They were kind enough to call our room and check on me, even though it was quite obvious that there was no bodily harm done. Second, there was an accident in the pool area involving one of the minor guest and the emergency team was quick to respond. The staff were all nice (front desk, gym, pool, lounge/bar, the heat, the staff in charge of our room/floor and even the security staff ). When I'm in the mandaluyong area, will choose edsa shangrila, will book through agoda or direct on the hotel's website. Never fails!!!!
