"stayed for 2 nights here. Hotel is conveniently located just across SM Megamall in Ortigas/Mandaluyong area. One of its exits have an adjacent 7-11. Tall Twin Towers with travel and tours, massage shop inside the building. Big spacious room with good AC and kitchennette, ref, microwave and stove where you can cook. It also have kitchen utensils. Room with big flat TV with good channels. Adequately speed complimentary wifi. The downside is that the number of elevators is fairly inadequate considering the size of the hotel so its kind of slow to move up or down. Breakfast is ok. Good value and will come back. Recommended."

"This is my second stay in a Red Planet hotel, the other being in Cebu. I really like the Red Planet chain - all hotels appear to be pretty much the same, so they are instantaneously recognizable and you sort of sense a homely feel because of that. Rooms are very small, and one definite downside is that there is no coffee-making facilities, and very little else besides. Notably, staff in these hotels are always extremely polite, and it's no different here. Location is not so great, even though it's central-ish Mandaluyong. Not near any shops or restaurants. But, to change the subject, the shower is great - flathead that shoots out a ton of hot water - always a pleasurable experience when you reside in the Philippines. Overall, definitely recommended. "

"This was my third stay at GoHotels Mandaluyong. For the first two, I booked the queen bedroom but I was given the room with no windows. This time around, I specifically booked the room with Windows (as it is in the options in the website unlike before). Upon checking in, I was again given the room with no windows so I immediately called the reception and requested for transfer. The receptionist told me that there were no available rooms with window view and that the room availability was based on first come first serve basis on the day of the accommodation and not on the day of the booking. I have highlighted to him that if that was the case, they should not indicate that there are two kinds of room and they must clearly put it in the disclaimer. As I have a mild case of claustrophobia, the first two stays in the queen bedroom without windows was not too bad as there was a faux window view of the city skyline at night. But still, at the back of my mind I know that there is still no window. Long story short, I told the receptionist that I would prefer to stay in the window room and he immediately moved me to a new room (I did not argue anymore when he initially told me that there were no rooms available because hey, I got what I originally requested) Over-all, I will still highly recommend staying in GoHotels Mandaluyong because the location is very convenient and their rates are affordable. Their bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Just a few tip: Bring your own toiletries because they only provide soap and shampoo good for a day’s stay. "

"I am impressed with the security/medical response team. Firstly, when my skirt got caught on the escalator (though i was the 1 who pushed the stop button). They were kind enough to call our room and check on me, even though it was quite obvious that there was no bodily harm done. Second, there was an accident in the pool area involving one of the minor guest and the emergency team was quick to respond. The staff were all nice (front desk, gym, pool, lounge/bar, the heat, the staff in charge of our room/floor and even the security staff ). When I'm in the mandaluyong area, will choose edsa shangrila, will book through agoda or direct on the hotel's website. Never fails!!!!"
