“Coziest place in Ao Nang”
From the moment we arrived at Marina Express, the experience was a solid 10 out of 10. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated with a maritime theme. Every detail ties into the sea, including a ceiling lamp inspired by traditional lobster traps, which gives the space a lot of character. The bed was large, very comfortable, and of great quality. The sheets were perfectly clean, and everything in the room felt immaculate. They provide sandals for use inside the room, along with multiple towel sets, one for the room and another specifically for the pool. The shower had strong water pressure with consistently hot water, and the air conditioning worked very powerfully, which is a big plus during hot season. The hotel features a modern, clean, and very attractive pool surrounded by palm trees, making it feel truly tropical. While relaxing by the pool one day, the staff kindly offered us a complimentary drink, which was delicious. The staff deserve special mention. Their English level is very good, much higher than average in Thailand, and they were all extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a wide and convenient entrance where taxis or Bolt can drop you off directly at reception, which makes arrivals and departures very easy. As a small and charming detail, there are a few animals around the area, such as small lizards, cats, and occasionally dogs. Not many, but it adds a nice, authentic touch that some guests will find charming.
