“Accommodation booked for the same day during the holiday period.”
During the holiday period, there were not many accommodations left in Namhae, so I made a reservation, but in the end, I regretted it a lot. As soon as I entered the first floor, an overwhelming smell hit me. I thought it might be the smell of sewage due to the rain, but it wasn't at all; it was the smell of cat feces (or food). It seemed like they had two cats. Usually, the cats seem to stay inside the adjacent building, but the smell was unbearable from the lobby on the first floor all the way to the guest room. Since it was raining, I couldn't open the windows, and even if I did, the curtains were so deeply saturated with the smell that it seemed impossible to air them out. The beach was a three-minute walk away, and there were restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance, plus the remodeled bathroom was clean, and the refrigerator was larger than expected for the room, and the room furnishings and bedding were white and fluffy, which weren't bad at all, but that smell overshadowed everything. I rested at the accommodation during the rain and went out for dinner, but the smell from the curtains was so strong that we couldn't even turn customers that way. I woke up in the middle of the night because of it and felt like I couldn't sleep. The second floor seemed to be different from the entrance, so I thought it wouldn't smell, but the first floor is not suitable to host guests. The second floor has a sea view and is a bit more expensive than the first floor, but since it was just my husband and me, we didn’t particularly need a view and booked the first floor, which I greatly regretted. Moreover, the price was around 90,000 won, which is not cheap either... The owner really needs to address this issue; if you won’t manage the smell, please don’t accept guests on the first floor. My husband urged me to write a review, so I'm leaving this for others to see.
