Before staying in here i've already gather information bout the hotel. Yes it has beautiful pool, luxurious- javanese styled designs and it sits on 22 hectares of land filled with lush tropical garden. But i never guessed that the jogging track would be so awsome! The hotel has its own golf course so you can literally run in the middle of the golf course. Not to mention the beautiful lush garden all around.. Now we've traveled quite a lot and experienced many 5 star hotel, but This hotel really has the best jogging track by far.

Had an overall very pleasant stay at the villa. The breakfast spread filled our table every morning with our choice of dishes (although the taste was not to my liking, as it was catered to the local taste) but overall still ok. The villa is rather far away from the city centre, which makes it ideal and exclusive but had we not hired the transport they provide (around $80/12 hours), it would have been rather difficult to get around. However, I really love this experience as it offers greater family bonding time as the living room was the main highlight. Susi, who I had liaised with for all the transport and spa arrangements was prompt and helpful in providing the services. Dicky, the butler, was very helpful and seemed to be there 24/7. The staff were all very polite and mindful of our privacy. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

I came with my family in the afternoon after travelling around in Jogja. Mas Bram (the owner) was so kind and very helpful to give me so much information about do's and dont's in Jogja. Also, he allowed me to come check-in at night (around 7 pm) and late check-out on the next day. I can't thank him enough for his best hospitality together with his wife (I assume) and how he tried his best to accommodate my stay in Jogja. And, should be noted, the homestay feels like, at least, 3 stars hotel, with a very clean place and big room. I enjoyed every single second there and I will recommend this homestay to anyone who comes to Jogja. The place might be quite hard to find at first, however Mas Bram sent me the location so using the gps, everything's easy. Thanks a lot and I can't wait to go back! ;)

it was a very nice experience of staying in this hotel. They served a delicious healthy food, very nice ambience and environment. It was beyond expectation for a 1star hotel. I love the room very much. Everything in this hotel is just right. My only concern is they dont have shower curtain which caused my bathroom wet all over the floor after someone use it. I prefer a dry bathroom. But, it was nothing compare to all the great things and experiences I had of staying here. I'll definitely come back there.

Feel like home. This hotel was originally a big house, and they change the bedrooms to hotel rooms. The room we were staying was very spacious with 2 twin beds and one single bed. The room is clean, and bathroom has bathtub and hot water. The most surprising element was the enormous size of breakfast that I could not finish. In front of hotel, small parking lot is available for you to park your car. Overall experience is great, I will stay again with my family.

we were disappointed regarding the location of the hotel is far away from the city. This hotel is good for someone that need to take care of her/his bussiness arround this districts. If you are on holiday better not choose this hotel. The staff also very limited we were very difficult to get some help because nobody standby at the hotel. But the positive is the hotel cheap, the room also comfortable and clean.

Stay for 2 nights with family, hotel location just near the city center, if you want to get away from noise and stay in a quiet, safe neighborhood, this homestay is the place. The staffs were very helpful. The hotel is pretty clean, balcony was good, but some facilities needs improvement likes the cabinet (cabinet was broken), amenities and tv cables not working, but staffs were helpful to fixed it.

It's my third stay at this small hotel. As a young families with 3 children I booked 2 deluxe rooms which are found clean and tidy. The staffs are very welcome with services are excellent to represent the javanese typical warmth. The location quite far from the main tourist attractions although they provide free shuttle to and from Malioboro from the hotel. Limited breakfast menu but overall we think it's fair considering the hotel affordable price. Best place for us traveller who just need the basic hotel services at its best. We'll be happy back to the hotel when visiting Jogja.

The hotel was nice. I like the view and there are so many birds in the cage in front of every room. The atmosphere was so natural. The location is little bit too far from the main road (ring road). And it kind of difficult to find dinner in the neighborhood because the street was so dark. When I find a nearby restaurant, the staff tell me this hotel is the farest hotel in the neighborhood. The staffs needs more trainings because they even did not ask to bring my lugage to my room. But the receptions was OK. The restaurant was not opened when I stayed there, since it was a new hotel.

We booked 3 rooms, and there is only 7 rooms in the homestay. Our room had what I think was an extra-king size bed. My 4 year old and husband and I slept in it very comfortably! We also had our 5 month old in the travel cot (we brought our own cot). So the room was big enough to look after us all! Each room has its own bathroom, which are all modern and have hot water. Everything about the hotel is great. One of the rooms my father slept in smelt like a cat had peed in it, they were quick to try get rid of the smell by mopping and spraying, and it seemed to go almost. I know, had we asked, they would have swapped rooms for us. My other friends had a twin room, but asked to go into a queen bed room on the second night, and they happily accommodated as it had become available. The laundry service is great, it takes a day and only costs rp4000 a kilo (USA $0.40c). The breakfast is simple but delicious. We had the Nasi Kunyit once which was delicious, but I prefer western breakfasts, so the rest of the time I had the eggs on toast which was great, complete with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes etc. And all with fresh OJ. It is close to everything, but far enough out of the city centre so it is quiet. They have a driver/car service for only $55 a day (12 hours, includes driver petrol parking fees etc) which we had everyday and was good. I live in Indonesia and can highly recommend this place. I have stayed at 5 star hotels, and budget, and this place is the best place I have stayed in. My daughter swam in the pool everyday, we hung around and read books, played cards, went out at our leisure and ordered from their delivery menus for lunch and dinner which also was delicious (we always ask for 'tidak paket sasa' which means 'no msg', and there was no problem) and the juices always super fresh and not much added sugar (gula) if any. Staying here was the highlight of our trip to JOgja and we will recommend this place to everyone!

Pros: - The unit is spacious with 4 x well-renovated rooms. - located inside an upscale residential complex next to Hyatt Hotel with security. - friendly housekeeper Cons: - The swimming pool and gym facility is a rather long walk from this unit - No aircon nor fans in the living room. - when we were there, the water supply pressure was not strong and contains mold, it shows that the water tank is not regularly maintained. In the end, a technician was called in to investigate and fix the issue. - expensive as compared to other type of accomodation in jogja.

I enjoyed it very much my stay in Rumah Mertua. Try the bike tour from Borobudur to Yogya. It is a bike tour from about 40 km. It is a bit hard, but it is worth it. It is like you make a tour through the real Indonesia. I had a good English speaking guide with me. The service is also fantastic. You really feel at home. Wish I stayed much longer in this hotel I wanted to extend, but they were already fully booked. It seems that Rumah Mertua is often fully booked,. So be in time to book for this nice hotel. Another good thing is that there internet connection is very fast for Indonesian standards. The hotel is also very cheap for what they offer.

Area: Less than a hundred meters from the homestay, this property sits on a wonderful local area full of cheap warungs and vibrant small coffee shops, with convenience stores, a pharmacy, and a supermarket nearby, and a modern mall 10mins away. Really local. Homestay: Fairly large rooms for the price paid. The rooms have good working AC, wonderful water pressure with adequate hot water supply. The rooms have cable TV which I didn't bother using. Plug adaptors can be asked for, but better bring your own. The pillows and the linens are very clean and sweet smelling and you really can see the care these owners put into the bedroom. No in-room sink, but you can manage. Facilities: Common fridge, kitchen, but when we were there, there was hardly anyone using it except us. So kudos. Staff: Really courteous and helpful staff. No loud noises, which made us circumspect of ours. No curfew, so yay! GoogleTranslate will be your friend. Stay Again? YES!!

we're very satisfied staying at this hotel. the room is big and clean. the staff is very helpful and kind, they try their best to serve our requests. we're also having bbq party here. we're so thankful that the hotel staff help us to make our unplanned-party success. my big family was having a memorable moment here. we would recommend alam jogja resort to our friends for sure.

For a peaceful stay this is the place to go. Very lovely grounds with little table and chairs everywhere to relax amongt the gardens. Excellent pool and every room has a view with verandah. A bit far out of town but so cheap to get taxi I would rather be out of town anyway. We had five nights stay and ate at a different restaurant each night with walking distance. We were recommended this hotel and would definately recommend it to someone else.

I was very satisfy, the hotel is very clean with javanese acrhitecture, breakfast was great, very nice swimming pools, nice environment, can see merapi volcano, it's good hotel for family. You will need rent car since the locations it's far from down town of yogyakarta (about 10km), their staff are very warm,just realize in the last day of my stay that the owner of this hotel used to be governor of central Java province

This hotel is decorated beautifully. It's a quaint place that made me feel very welcome and i was treated very well. If i had a problem, the satff and owner made sure it was resolved and they went out their way to help. The room was very clean, tidy, looked great and very comfortable and spacious. A great price too. If it has one let down it's its location - out the way but nothing an ojek or taxi can't solve. 4 stars / 5.

enjoyed our stay, pool was great and main reason to stay, Karaoke setup at the pool was great also. only bedrooms have aircon and the kitchen and dinning area get hot in the day, if you like cooking then the kitchen is very ordinary and there is inadequate utensils and equipment to cook properly, one bedroom downstairs and 3 upstairs the downstairs bedroom has a small en suite and there is no downstairs toilet need to go upstairs to use the common bathroom or use ensuite one downstairs. We had understood from Agoda site at time of booking that there was oven but there is not that said the owner was very helpful when contacted to arrange one at short notice :-)

All-in-all, It was more value for money, actually. We weren't expecting much to begin with, but it was surprisingly a pleasant and comfortable place to stay; AC-ed rooms, comfortable beds, hot shower, working fridge, We're quite happy. The staff were very helpful and always on standby 24/7. If it wasn't for one guest who brought 3 different MPVs for just their 1 unit, parking would have been ideal. You might want to bring your own toiletries, towels, and a can of bug spray with you, though. They do not provide these, and the mosquitoes were quite nasty!

It is located a bit far from malioboro street and town, need to keep foodstocks, however it is worth for a family stay! We travelled in a group of 10, hence 5 bedrooms are a good deal! ( 1 king with attached bathroom, 2 queen with attached bathroom, and 2 single with 1 outside shared bathroom). Kids love the swimming pool! Initially we have problem with 1 aircond not well functioning, but the respond from the housekeeping is good. The 2 housekeeping boys are ready to assist u if u need help. Overall, we can consider to come again!
