Nice City Center hotels & places to stay

Ideal for backpackers. You can use the kitchen to eat food, and surprisingly, there is a sauna and a gym in the basement. Conveniently located near department stores and Massena Square. And the staff responded well. It seems to be good at cleaning. When you travel from Nice to the suburbs, you have to find accommodation here. will have to pay for breakfast. And it was a shame that there was no olive oil in the kitchen such as basic sauce, sugar and salt. There are only kitchen utensils.

Clean and cozy room at a very convenient location in the city center. Nice and helpful staff. If you arrive at late night, ask them in advance so they will instruct you how to get in the room even after their reception time is ended and you can officially check-in next morning. Some simple kitchen equipment, dinnerware and cutlery are provided in the room so you can cook simple dishes bringing in your own foods and seasonings if you like. Supermarkets are near by or within walking distance. One concern to me was that the room was described as "no view" room, but I actually had a good view of city and open sky from a pair of tall windows, which was better than I wished for. This hotel is not for someone who likes to have services for everything or an opulent, gorgeous stay at a five-star hotel, but one of my best hotel choices I ever made, as I would rather prefer staying with taste of a local life.

The room is nice although on the smaller size. The shower was small but shower room big. The hotel is near the beach which is great and about a 20 min walk to downtown. There is a great patisserie right near the hotel. The best feature of the hotel is the staff. The guy and girl who maned the front desk in the morning while we were there were amazing! Provided us with lots of tips and helpful guides such as maps and bus schedules. We had little plans for our trip and they really helped with what to do and how to get there.

hotel altaïr is in the heart of nice and only 5 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from the beach, the old town, and the flower market. the pedestrian zone is easily reached on foot, so you don't need to take the bus! ideal for going out at night. our staff is here to help you during your stay, providing you with any information you need. reception’s opening time : 8 am to 11 pm once you are here there is no curfew so you can come back at any time. our rooms: pick from either private double rooms or mixed/ shared dorms with 4 to 6 beds a room with a hot shower. some have a balcony! when you arrive at the hostel we don't take credit card. we provide cover bed and cover pillow for free. we rent top sheet (1€) and towel(1€) we ask a deposit of 30€ at the check in for the keys cancellation policy : must give us 24 hours notice to cancel or change a booking and only by email . it's 24 hours before the check in (12.30am) the hostel reserves the right to refuse booking if your credit card is expired at your arrival !!! once you are in the hostel you cannot be refunded for your stay.

The staff who helps us check in in the morning is really friendly and she explains well about best western rewards. Hotel is really comfortable. We stay in double room and it is big for two of us. High speed Internet and clean with nice design. Location close to train station, tram, bus and shopping center. Many shops and restaurants around We would definitely stay here again. It is worth money.

Staff were great - helpful and very friendly. Breakfast buffet style was fine as was the packed lunch. Rooms just been decorated and comfy beds. Right in City Centre - 50 metres to Virgin Megastore, 5 mins to Massena square, 10 to beach and train station. Buses nearby, McDonalds round the corner. Went with a group of photography students and this was a safe location to stay. Couldn't fault it really - great for the price and it's the French Riviera!

We chose this hotel as it was one of the few central hotels to offer secure car parking. This cost 14 euros from 2pm on check in day until midday the following day and was in the basement of the hotel accessed by internal stairs. Our room was quiet and comfortable, large for a city centre hotel. No fridge or kettle available so unable to make a hot drink but there was a vending machine in reception offering free hot drinks. Good shower and comfy large double bed. The included continental buffet breakfast was reasonable with a good choice although some items had run out and were not topped up quickly eg bread, milk. I would stay here again. Walking to old town Nice took around 20 to 30 mins from the hotel. Staff at reception spoke good English and were friendly.

We had a very good stay at this apartment. It was a very large one bedroom apartment and was only a 5 min or so walk to the beach and 5 min to the train station which was very handy for us as we caught the train to Monaco and the beaches between Monaco and Nice ( which is excellent exploring btw). The actuale apartment was an old building but the apartment has been renovated and is very modern and comfortable. There is a lovley balcony that you can sit on and it had great wi fi and air con. We actually got locked out of the apartment one day ( the lock was stiff and we couldn't open it. ) and Emmanual came to our aid very quickly and helped us. Luckily the lady next door was at home and he let us use her computer and phone. If you stay here don't use the deadlock just pull the door shut. The only downside was that this apartment was a bit further away from the old town than it said in the description.... its about a 20min walk to the old town nice. This wasn't too bad though as we used the train quite a lot it was close to the train station. The other down part was wwe had to clean the apartment before we left which I don't think was in the apartments description.... or if it was it was in the fineprint somewhere and i totally missed it. This was a bit of a shock as most apartments we hired during our holiday included a cleaning fee. Other than that I highly recomment you stay here.

Funky and newly renovated hotel, so everything worked. Had a very serene and quiet feel about it the whole time I was there. I was kindly granted a room that faced the inner courtyard, so it was so quiet and perfect for a good nights sleep. Breakfast each day was good with enough continental choices available. Some may say it was repetitive, but at home I have the same thing for breakfast each day anyway! A few blocks from Tramline to get to old town and beach (or 15 min walk) and a few blocks to train station for your day tripping. Very glad I chose Ibis Styles for my stay!

Here for a mini break. The Acropolis is great for us. We don't need luxury, just clean and functional which is what we got. Staff very friendly and helpful, location great, close to the Acropolis tram and lovely gardens, 10 mins by tram to the sea front. Note for Brits.. this is a coffee nation. There is a coffee percolator but no kettle so we boiled water in a pan which was fine. Great to have a fridge and a supermarket round the corner for supplies. The pool is clean and has great views over the city, take a towel to lie on. Our room had a very small balcony, which we used but the neighbours weren't out. Just railings between rooms. Again, suited us. All in all a good, functional aparthotel. Would use it again and look at others around the world.

We had a great stay in this hotel. This is our 3rd trip to Nice for Nice Half Marathon. This hotel, by far, is the best that we had stayed in. It is conveniently located in the main shopping district, but not too near the main street as it can get very noisy. The beach is only a street and garden away. The room interior is very charming and clean. The hosts were also very friendly. The only downside is that it is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift. Therefore, those with big luggages will have a big problem, especially in a small room. As the hotel is in the main shopping district, there are plenty of shops and high end boutiques (Louis Vuitton is just down the street). Good eateries abound, and you must try the pizza and gelato. Nice Old Town is just 5-8mins walk away (across the jardin). Must check out the area esp Cours Saleya where there are a few markets (one flower, another old books). Many old churches and bistros for a chill afternoon.

Location is excellent, within walking to distance to bus stops from airport. Easy walk to waterfront and shops around the corner. There is a KFC within 5 mins walk if you need break from kebabs or the local food. Supermarket is 2 mins walk. Full European Breakfast came with the room. The room had a balcony with a sun chairs and small table for 2. Room was roomy for 2 persons, bathroom was nice and clean. Didn't like the colour scheme but the comfort outweights this. The room had a coffee machine (that doesn't do water or tea) but no kettle. This is the first time staying at a Best Western chain, certainly a good experience and one of the nicest hotel (of a similar star rating) that we stayed in Europe. Would definitely go back if we visit Nice again.
