Ninh Kieu Quay hotels & places to stay

Located near Ninh Kieu Quay, just a very short walk, so this is value for money with good location. Very nice staff. My mum left her purse there when we left the hotel early in the morning. Since I booked through Agoda, the hotel did not keep my phone number so they were kind enough to call Agoda, and then Agoda called us to inform (Mum didn't even realize that her purse was there until they called!). So eventually, we got back after a few days of traveling elsewhere, and they were keeping it safe for us the whole time. Highly recommended. Just small note as it has no elevator, but a good walk up the stairs is not bad :-).

This hotel surprised us with its comfort and hospitality in a town mainly known as the take off point for the floating market at Can Rai. It offered us a bright room with pleasing decor and comfortable bed and a good breakfast.It is close to the Quay. We stayed just for a night as the purpose of our stay was to catch the early boat to the floating market. Unlike most other hotels in and around HCMC, this one allowed us to take drinking water from the dispenser in the lobby.

This is a great hotel for a quick and easy stay. Very good value and the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. They booked a floating market tour for us and helped book our onward bus to Chau Doc. There was no breakfast but there are lots of good food options nearby so this was no problem at all. Only negative is that the laundry service was very expensive (around 10-20 thousand dong PER ITEM) so we did not make use of this and had to find somewhere else for laundry. Otherwise a fantastic stay and highly recommended.

I arrived at the motel and produced my Agoda booking paper. Staff spoke only Vietnamese and said no room for me. My Vietnamese friend with me had to make him check again and still no room available. Staff called for a taxi to take me to another area with hotels to try my luck. Insisting this was impossible, my Vietnamese friend asked him to check again referring to the Agoda booking paper print. We pointed to my name and he finally went through each line in the hotel book till we found my booking written with my first and last name in English on the correct date entry in the diary. The rest of the stay was peaceful and the staff were pleasant at all times. Location was good for me, near the market and quay side park. There are no lifts but it's ok for a healthy person. I would suggest to the management to highlight bookings with foreign looking names and print out the Agoda bookings in a file for staff to refer to and remind them Agoda bookings are all paid for before arrival at hotel. .

We booked this guesthouse after reading all the amazing reviews that Ms Ha received from her clients. Staying there for only a night, we could see why. Upon booking, Ms Ha wrote a through email to us to give us the direction to her house in Can Tho from HCM. We reached really late, close to 1am, but Ms Ha still greeted us with a smile. She also arrange a boat tour for us at 5.30am as soon as we reached despite the late notice. The boat tour is worth the money - we had a good English-speaking guide and enjoyed looking at life in the mekong delta. After the boat tour, Ms Ha also advised us on how best to spend the one day that we have in Can Tho, and again arranged everything for us - bicycle rental, lunch recommendations and bus back to HCM etc. The guesthouse is also close to the Mekong delta and other attraction in Can Tho. We will most definitely stay here again if we return!

I was looking for a cheap room so that I could come to Can Tho to visit the floating markets. This room met my requirements and more. Planned to spend one night, stayed for four. AIRCON, CATV, double bed and refrig. They also sell beer and snacks in the lobby at cheaper prices than you will find out on the street or local shops. Room is basic but comfortable. If you are expecting a four star room at this price go elsewhere. Room was clean, aircon was cold. Water pressure weak and water not so hot, but all were minor issues given price paid. I would stay here again. There is no need to go spend double for another room down the street. The location is right in the middle of the action and there are plenty of places to eat within one block of the hotel. The pier for boarding the boats for the markets is 3 minutes away, you can't get any closer. You can also book your floating market trip here from vendors who visit the hotel. We paid 24USD for a 5 hour boat trip, we had the boat to ourselves. Negotiate hard and get it for 20 USD or less.

Hotel is about 2 km away from the city. We had no hot water in our room zo we had to move to another room. The staff at the reception was smiling, but could not help us with boogink a boat ticket so we had to take a taxi to go tomtown to buy the ticket. We asked for a taxi for the next morning, they did not call a cab. We asked again, they said the'd called but when we checked they siad that they would call. Food in restaurant was poor. Chicken with just white rice is not a proper meal,in a restaurant. The roomwas gooed, nice shower, plenty of space, nice bed's

For the price we paid (around £7 a night) I'd expect a bit more. The room had water damage and stains around all the walls. The tiled floor actually had mould growing on it. The bathroom was run down and damp, the shower head holder had been broken off the wall and not replaced. We came back to the room in the evening and found a cockroach on the bed, however we had stupidly left some fruit on the bed so this was partly our fault as well

This was excellent accomodation. I would highly recommend this guest house for your stay in the beautiful city of Can Tho. A lovely family run business who were extremely welcoming and freindly. Good spacious room that was cleaned daily. Great breakfast. I booked a guided tour of the Mekong Delta with the hotel, which I would also recommend. When leaving they booked a bus for me to HCMC and a taxi to the bus station. Overall this has to be the best accomodation so far on my 3 month trip to SEA. I will definitely stay here again if I return, which I hopefully will.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights (we previously stayed here in our last trip to Can Tho)). Good location short walk to Ninh Kieu and night market. Clean and reasonable sized room with comfy bed for couple . We got 2 room keys, which is the only hotel we've been to does so in VN . Staff are attentive and helpful showing ways to all landmarks and eateries around Ninh Kieu / Cai Khe . Good breakfast daily. We will come back and recommend to friends and family.

We felt satisfy with 1 night in Hau Giang 2 Hotel. We booked 2 standard rooms which were small but clean and comfortable for us. The hotel is very near to night market, Ninh Kieu quay and De Tham street (where you can find so many delicacies). Staffs were friendly. The only problem is that there was no hair dryer in the room but we stayed just 1 night so it was not much trouble for us. If I have a chance to visit Can Tho again, I'll come back this hotel.

Highly recomemded, in term of safety, cleanliness and service. Can Tho hotel is very good in ckeanliness and safety with alot of helpful staff. It has room reception, security person and restaurant staffs in every hall ways. But it does not appear as beautiful or modernization in color, decoration and other beautiful modernized bed(table or chair) as just likes finding from an expensive hotel. However, rememberably a good hotel as Can Tho as good in safety, cleanliness and best services in prices, location, fun, etc. Good quality in hotel in safety,clean and more services for effortable price, shop and transportation. Many store, local vendor, spa, taxi, etc. A simple looks with every convenieces. Therefor, Can Tho hotel is lack of colorous stuctures, decorative appearance and modernized looks, but it has much cleanliness, safety and service in staffs,shoping and transportation.

Overall, I felt safe here as a solo woman traveler. The location is wonderful--by the river and market. The hotel is less-than-new, though, and room choice matters! Standard rooms are clean and safe; however, there is only a bottom sheet and old blanket, no shower curtain and frosted-yellow windows you can't see out of. If you stay in their next room up (worth the extra couple dollars!) it is so much more comfortable. The beds have sheets, there are shower curtains and windows, and there is more space. The more expensive rooms have a balcony overlooking the river as well. It was a space I liked working in, vs. the standard room where I only came back to sleep.

It took my motorbike driver a little while to find this hotel, even though I had an address and it's on a main street. This could have been due to my booking being right before Tet, though, as the streets were crazy-filled with people. I booked into a room with no window as it was cheaper. There was a mini-fridge, hot water shower in it's own cubicle (which was a nice change) cable TV, a mini-bar and giant king-sized bed. And Air-con. I think I got my money's worth. The hotel is located right along the canal and only a hop skip and jump from the pier to go to the floating markets. There's afew markets nearby and a a few restaurants with great and cheap food. I had to leave early in the morning to catch my bus, and the gate (security) was still locked. The front desk clerk was asleep on a cot behind the desk, so I had to wake her up, check out and get my passport back. It was easy. This hotel does have a curfew, so be aware if you want to go out.

This is a brand new hotel (opened on 1 Jan 2015). Room is quite small but clean. Staff are nice and speak English well. The pool is too small, doesn't look like the picture. It locates right in Ninh Kieu quay and close to the night market (walking distance). However, there is a wet market right in front of the hotel and opens for the whole day. A bit noisy and dirty. Overall, it was a good stay, I might come back again.
