Awesome Airport Layover Stay”

I was flying with my dive buddy from JFK airport in New York to Krabi, Thailand, We had a 22 hour layover in Bangkok. Originally the layover was 14 hours but our morning flight was cancelled. I had made the reservation at Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport prior to the flight change and was I ever glad I had chosen Novotel. Novotel is not the least expensive lodging near the airport but I will tell you, it was worth every penny. It has an unusual (to me anyway) check in and check out policy. Guests get the their rooms for 24 hours from the time of check in rather than having set check in and check out times. This means that we could stay in our room until 3 or 4 p.m. for the 5 p.m. flight rather then having to sit in the lobby or the airport from noon until flight time. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms have a glassed in shower stall big enough for two people, a large vanity top (only one sink), and a separate tub with a long hose with a shower head for easy rinsing. The bathroom amenities include not only shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but toothbrush kits and a vanity kit -- cotton swaps and stuff like that. The room itself is almost exactly like the picture on the website. We had a room with two twins. Usually we get a king since my dive buddy is also my spouse but having just traveled for a very long time and having been awake for 26+ hours, we didn't care that we had twin beds. Actually, the twin beds were nice because if one of us was restless, it didn't both the other person. The room had four bottles of water and we requested four more which they brought us free of charge. (We tipped, of course.) The room itself had room darkening curtains and was quiet. There was enough closet space for one of our dive bags and we could easily fit the other one under the sink in the bathroom. A scrumptious breakfast buffet was included. Deluxe hotel right at the airport”

I arrived at Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport quite late (@ 1:00 a.m.), but, once through customs and immigration, I was met at Airport entrance 4 by a hotel rep and van and was at the hotel check-in within 5 minutes. There was some confusion once I got to my room - my name is Fred Hoffman, and the hotel also had a Mr. & Mrs Frank Hoffman staying there. There was a message on my phone that the hotel had a document for me, which they sent up to my room. When I looked, I realized that it was not for me but for Frank Hoffman and contained e-tickets he needed. Trying to sort this out and give back the documents took some time and I'm not sure if the other party ever got their tickets. Otherwise, a restful night in a large, comfortable room, a nice breakfast buffet, and a quick walk to the underground express train station into Bangkok. A little pricey, but probably worth it for the location right on the airport premises

Arrival”

Outstanding comfort and convenience. I could not recommend this hotel more highly. Every detail to ensure comfort is provided, from the spacious rooms, wonderfully comfortable beds, pool and beautifully vegetated pool deck, fitness facilities with a wide variety of well-functioning equipment, steam and dry saunas, Thai massage (extra charge), outstanding menu and restaurant, frequent shuttles to flights, knowledgeable and helpful staff, etc., etc. It is even quiet, although less than 5 minutes from the airport. This is without a doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Coming from the US, I assumed the hotel would be like US airport hotels I have stayed in, a convenient place to crash and to grimly tolerate. The Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel was so much more than that. Bangkok was a connecting airport for flight to Bhutan. We stayed on our way to Bhutan and couldn’t wait to come back to treat ourselves to a Thai massage, which I recommend highly. This hotel makes it possible to quickly recover from an unendurable, wretchedly uncomfortable, and sleepless flight.

Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel Bangkok”

The Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel Bangkok is a lovely and quiet hotel, although it is is situated so close to the airport. There is no noise from the airport and it is possible to get a great night's sleep. One of the best points about the hotel is it's proximity to the international airport, allowing overnight stops to be easily taken without th hassle of having to go into Bangkok itself. The rooms at the hotel are beautiful, with fabulous bathrooms and all facilities available for overnight transit stops. If you have time, there is also a lovely swimming pool with its own bar where you can relax for a swim, read, drink, or all three. Also, if you are leaving on an early flight there is a quick checkout and no time wasted queuing up, and a free shuttle available at all hours for a quick airport trip. It is also very easy, and probably quicker, to walk through the carpark and arrive on the departure floor of the airport. All very convenient!

Still Our Choice”

Upon our return fro a visit to the USA, we stayed at the Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport once again. We always stay at this hotel on our journeys in and out of BKK for the past 10 years. On this particular trip our flight was delayed and we did not arrive until 02:00. We went to the hotel's desk at Gate #4 and very quickly and efficiently we were transported by van to the hotel. Check-in was quick and efficient. In the morning we enjoyed a buffet breakfast before checking out. Once again the process was quick as well as efficient. We were then transported by hotel van to our departure gate. We have always found the hotel to be clean and the food very good. For us there is no need to consider any other place to stay.

My Choice”

Once again I chose to incorporate a stay at this facility as part of my overall travel plans. Travel can be confusing and stressful. However I always find staying at Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport helps reduce many of the stress factors. I can plan on a clean room, wonderful hot showers, helpful staff, great food, and reliable transport to/from the airport terminal. For the front end of my trip to Nepal, I stayed here. All my expectations were met - it is always great to wake up after a peaceful night's sleep, have a wonderful shower, and enjoy a buffet breakfast of many selections before heading off on an international journey.

The Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel in Bangkok is without question one of the very best hotels we've ever stayed in. Everything about this hotel has been designed for the ease and comfort of its guests: checking in and checking out could not have been simpler, and all of the staff--at every level, from the managers to the cleaning personnel--could not have been more efficient and welcoming. There is absolutely no doubt in our minds that we will stay at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport each time our travels bring us to Bangkok.

superb location”

The Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is linked to the airport by an 300 meter underground walkway, so within a very short time after clearing immigration and customs formalities you're in your room, wonderful especially if you're travelling with children/babies after a long haul flight. The hotel is relatively new so the interiors are still in great shape. We requested a baby cot via email direct to the hotel prior to arrival and it was in our room on check-in, a great time saver.

Great airport hotel”

The Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is an excellent airport hotel, just a short walk (or free shuttle) away from the airport. We were super happy with the efficient staff, great breakfast and wonderful room (very comfortable bed!) so that we were nice and refreshed for our onward flight the next day. If you want to break up a flight and you're transiting through Bangkok, then seriously consider this hotel - you will not be disappointed.

Welcoming Reception staff”

Staying at Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport was a great way to end a fabulous holiday in Thailand. It was easy to get to, our taxi driver knew where it was, unlike our friends experience, they had booked a cheap hotel and spent two hours driving in the taxi, their driver was not able to locate the hotel and they ended up back at the airport. Our room was modern, clean and the hotel grounds were big enough for us to walk off our over indulgence of a delicious dinner.

Worth the extra money”

When traveling to Bangkok or simply stopping for a brief overnight stay on your way to another location, the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel is an excellent choice. It is within five minutes of the hotel, has excellent shuttle service, friendly staff and an over-all welcoming atmosphere. The shops are not over-priced, and carry a wide variety of tasteful gifts. You'll find the food is excellent no matter which of the fine restaurants you choose. Rooms at the Suvarnabhumi are exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated and a welcome site for any traveler.

Stay at the Novotel rather than the Transit Lounge”

We stayed at the Novotel Airport Hotel in March 2008. It is a fine place to spend an overnight when arriving in Bangkok in the evening and catching a plane the next morning. Shuttle busses run with high frequency [at least every 10 minutes]. At the 5 am hour of our morning flight one was waiting at the front door for us and as soon as we loaded we were on our way for the 5 minute ride. It makes sense to stay at the airport because the ride to downtown hotels is 30 minutes without traffic and 90 minutes or more during busy times. We found no dedicated walkways like the sky bridge for the Sheraton in Frankfurt or like the underground tunnel for the Hilton at O’Hare. It seems like one could walk across a large parking lot and arrive at the hotel; but with the heat and humidity of Bangkok and the timeliness of the shuttles why bother. Once inside check in was friendly and quick. We booked through Agoda [search for them on Google] and saved 20-30 percent over the best prices at the Novotel website. Part of the savings was that breakfast was not included, which aligned with our preference as there was a breakfast on the next morning’s flight. Agoda provided a voucher [by email] which we printed and was necessary to turn in to pay for our room. The rooms were modern with all the amenities expected in a top notch business class hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the towels wonderfully plush. Wifi is available in the rooms at approximately $15 for 12 hours. The hotel staff was attentive, friendly, and always smiling. Security guards were posted in several spots on every floor. The football field sized lobby is worth a dinner, snack, or cocktail. The highly polished black marble floor reflects the light used to illuminate the large potted trees creating a splendid illusion. Two food/drink establishments flank the lobby where we ate sandwiches and a glass of wine -- $45 for two.

I have stayed at this hotel at least four times. I adore this hotel. It has an efficient and friendly staff. The rooms are beautiful. There is superb food available at any hour and the cost is reasonable in terms of the quality of this hotel. It is unusually calm - perhaps because of its large atrium. This is outstanding value to for money. It is my favorite hotel in Bangkok. I specifically like to arrive here for a night to catch up on jet lag, and I like to arrive here substantially before my departure so as to rest and "regroup." This hotel is to be congratulated for outstanding management, cleanliness, and overall pleasantness. I also want to compliment Agoda. I always make my reservations for the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel through Agoda.com and there is never a problem. I'm a happy traveler.

An excellent airport hotel”

We like to stay near the airport on the last day of our holiday to minimise kerfuffle and stress and whilst we have stayed at various satisfactory locations within a 3-5km radius of the airport; we decided to push the boat out this time & cough up the extra cash to stay at the Novotel on their Executive Floor. Granted, we could have paid for 3 nights at any one of the other nearby "satisfactory" hotels for the same price, but it always feels like such an anti-climax to the holiday. The Novotel at Suvarnabhumi offers the usual standards and quality that you would expect but seems to have that extra 20% that makes you feel a bit special, this is possibly due to the fact that the footprint area of the hotel is considerably larger than it's inner city contemporaries. The rooms are set around a central (huge)courtyard which contains plentiful eateries & facilities. We preferred to enjoy the 2 hours of free drinks & nibbles that the Executive Floor permits you in the evening (so this contributed to off-setting the higher tariff we had paid for) and we enjoyed the added attentiveness that we were also given throughout our brief stay. Will I stay again? Yes - finances permitting. Would I recommend it to others? - Yes - if your circumstances require it and your budget permits it. It ain't cheap!

I stayed at the Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport for just one night because I was flying to another location it was right next to the airport and the staff was great the rooms are nice and the bed was great slept well. They pick you up from the airport and also dropped you off. If you want to walk you can take the under ground tunnel to the hotel. I will stay there again if I have to stay the night and catch an early flight out.

Luxury & Convenience”

The Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel in Bangkok was an excellent choice. I was looking for a nice, convenient hotel to stay close to the airport on my last night in Thailand. I had a 6am flight to Tokyo and had to be at the airport at 4am. Beside the absolute luxury of the hotel, which was unexpected, the quality of the hotel staff was superb. From the minute I arrived at curbside with my bags until they helped me into the airport shuttle at 3:45am I felt well taken care of. After my 3am automated wake up call I even got a reminder call from a live person which I thought was a very nice touch. When I called the front desk for help with my luggage they arrived within 5 minutes and were waiting for me in the lobby when I went down. The bed & pillows were wonderful & the bathroom was luxurious.

Oasis of tranquility on a long haul flight”

After 13 hours in the air, an 8 hour sleep, rest and refresh at the Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport was perfection and good preparation for the next 9 hours in the air. The room was excellent in every way, but I would like to commend the staff, from the shuttle driver to all the staff in the foyer and reception. They were calm, attentive and a credit to the hotel. We did not have to search for assistance, it came to us. Thank you to all.

Layover Heaven at Suvarnabumi!”

I had an 18 hour layover in Bangkok and booked a room at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel. To my surprise, a car was waiting at the curb to take me to the hotel. From that moment onward, my stay was the most wonderful and relaxing I had had in Asia! The room was wonderfully appointed, the food from room service was fast, hot, and good, The bathroom was like a spa retreat with separate tub and shower and lots of space. I arrived at the airport the next morning refreshed and ready for another two days travel to home. It was a bit pricey, but well worth the extra money for a night of peace, quiet, and all the amenities in the midst of a long, long trip!

Great Hotel”

Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is really a nice transit hotel with international standard. I enjoyed so much staying in this hotel and will consider staying at this hotel when I do either business or solo trip to Bangkok. The service is good. Personally, I would very glad to recommend this hotel either for personal trip, business, couples,family trip as well as a transit hotel.

Superb location that comes with free shuttle ”

we were in bangkok for one night only for transit so we chose novotel suvarnabhumi airport hotel for its proximity from the airport. the hotel has a staff counter at the airport exit and from there you will be directed to the shuttle-van stop. the shuttle journey takes only about 3 mins, it is a fantastic time saver especially for travellers without much time in bangkok. we were also very impressed with the speed of the hotel service even at 6am in the morning! there is simply no complaint!
