I stayed with just the accommodation plan, but the staff were very kind and it was great.
Anyway, the building is shabby. It reaches a level that makes you want to laugh. The exterior is rundown, and indoors there are signs of rain leakage, with part of the ceiling having holes and sagging. By the way, it rained on the day of my stay, but there were no leaks. Also, there were no issues with facilities, the room was spacious, and the amenities were at least adequately provided, so I was able to spend my time comfortably. To be honest, it was significantly more comfortable than a cramped business hotel. In terms of location, there is a convenience store next door, and many restaurants are within walking distance, making it convenient. And above all, I felt that providing this at such a price is impressive.
I stayed from 10/4 to 10/5. First of all, I was shocked by the exterior! The walls were peeling badly, and I really wondered if it was safe to stay there. There were exposed wires in the hallway, and I wasn't sure if it was a monitor for the internet connection or just hanging down. When I entered the room, it was completely unclean, with peanuts from previous guests on the floor, and in the bathroom, there was dust on the toilet paper holder, making it feel gritty. It was really disgusting. The next morning, what seemed to be an alarm bell went off several times, and after checking out early at around 6:30 am, I saw fire trucks and police cars outside, with officers coming in and out. I seriously question how they can operate in such unsanitary conditions.
Right next to the Omagari Fireworks venue. There's a FamilyMart and a supermarket right next to it, making it a great location 💪 And it's cheap; the bath has some discoloration and the bed is dirty, but I think that's due to its age. There are various amenities in the room, and there are pajamas and towels. The refrigerator is the typical old hotel type that you turn on yourself. The staff are friendly, so if you're just looking for a place to stay, it's totally fine! 🙆♀️

Let's be honest--you're probably only going to stay here if that's all that is available for the dates you want at a reasonable price. (I stayed here to attend the Akita Kanto Festival, when accommodation in Akita City was sold out.) If that is the case, then it's fine for one night. It is old but functional. Staff were not at the front desk when I arrived but came quickly and were friendly and efficient. The room was clean. I got a twin room, which sounded nicer than the single rooms in other people's reviews. It is about 10 mins walk from Omagari Station, which is about 45 mins by local train from Akita by local train, and also a bullet train stop. There was nothing around the hotel open at night when I walked there, except a convenience store. Japan is generally safe, but if you are worried, you could take a taxi at night. Convenience store is right next door, which is great. All rooms allow smoking and you can never remove the smell totally, so I brought a fabric deodorizing spray with me. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable.
